Now Tim Krul Injured On International Duty – Oh No!

When is it going to end?   News today that Tim Krul, who disclosed this morning he had been told he is the new Dutch number one, has suffered an elbow injury in training, and is not only out of the Holland game on Tuesday night in Hungary, but will be laid  off for a time yet to be determined.

Tim Krul – Newcastle and Holland number one goalkeeper – injured

Tim was injured in training on Sunday, and we’re sure this will just be great news (not!) for Newcastle manager Alan Pardew –  that his number one goalkeeper has been injured on International duty.

We learned only a few days ago that captain Fab Coloccini has re injured his hamstring in training with Argentina, and we’re not sure of the extent of that injury, and whether Colo will be available for the game at Everton.

Tim had earned his 4th cap in the 2-0 win over Turkey on Friday night and revealed today he had been told by new Holland manager Louis van Gaal, he had taken over the number one spot from Maarten Stekelenburg.

Stekelenburg was on the bench against Turkey, and he will now likely start in Hungary, although Jeroen Zoet, the 21 year-old PSV goalkeeper, has now been added to the squad for the Hungary match.

This is bad news for Newcastle and we suppose veteran Stave Harper will have to start in goal at Everton a week tomorrow, unless Tim can make a dramatic recovery by then.

It’s always so disappointing when Newcastle’s players go away to play for their countries and come back to Tyneside injured. 🙁

It’s always so disappointing when our tight a***d owner doesn’t spend any money on sensible recruitment to give cover in the squad.
They had decided that Harper was old news and that Elliott was nowhere near good enough so why didn’t they buy a decent keeper as stand-in? Unlike top forwards and midfield players they don’t cost a fortune which should be ideal for Ashley.
This window is coming back to bite them all in the backside.

Typical, when it rains it pours! Harper can do the job though.
Glad he has taken that number 1 spot in the Dutch team. Stekelburger was shite in the Euro’s!

Ffs, expect lots of goals to be let in until krul returns, harper is too old, and elliot is no where near good enough to don a newcastle shirt, this season looks like we are doomed for a mid table finish. typical.

Lucky thing that Mashley’s Sports Direct shares are worth 1.5 billion after a bumber sports year or he’d be soooooo upset by these injuries to key Newcastle players.

I’m pleased with this injury crisis… even more I want to goes worst. Only then Newcastle’s stupid bosses can see the truth and to start live in the present and not in the future… to think only for the future with some too young inexperienced players which supposed to play in the first team. Now its time for Saylor to gets injured for a month perhaps.

But relaaaaaaaaaaaaaaax we have a good summer… we didn’t lose any key players… now lets put Cabaye, Tiote, Benny, Ba or Cisse to play CB… it’s simple as that.

We were not even asking for a 10 million signing. The least was atleast a experienced cb on loan as a backup.

We got nothing. Now injuries are piling on our paper thin squad.

    Good morning lads 🙂

I remember reading yesterday how proud Tim was that he was Holland’s #1 at this time – reaching the second of his two goals 🙂

I thought to myself now lets just hope he doesn’t get injured…I really hope I wasn’t the one who jinxed it 🙁

Okay lets see if we can get this blog goin’ shall we 😉 news are slow this morning, but i am sure once ED get up (it is in the middle of the night in the states) he’ll be on fire as always 🙂 Until then…

How about another music questionnaire 😉

The Blue van anyone? Most of you are probably outside of your comfort zone right now, but we don’t ever get to old to leard do we 😉

A little bit about The Blue Van. The Blue Van was founded in Brønderslev (that’s my home town by the way. Their first album, The Art of Rolling, was released in April 2005. Their second album, Dear Independence, was released in October 2006. The band toured extensively with Australian band Jet to promote Dear Independence and has also gained renown in the United States, due mainly to numerous shows in and around New York City preceding the release of The Art of Rolling.

“Silly Boy”, the lead single from their third album Man Up, was featured in a 2008 US commercial for the Samsung Behold cell phone. The song “Man Up” has been featured in the TV Series 90210 and commercials for the new season of Scrubs. Most recently, their song “Independence” was used as the theme for USA Network’s new show, Royal Pains. “There Goes My Love”, a single, was used in a debut Apple iPad commercial during the 2010 Oscars. In January 2011 the song “Silly Boy” was featured in the episode “Frank The Plank” from Showtime’s “Shameless”. The title track from their 2010 album Love Shot appears in the 2012 male-stripper film Magic Mike which stars Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey.

Their 5th album Would You Change Your Life will be released this month. Here’s a link:

    m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=8lh5kSCnI68&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D8lh5kSCnI68&gl=US

    So back to the questionnaire:

    a) What your favorite The Blue Van Album?

    b) Favorite song?

    c) Most underrated song?

Disclaimer: The questions are the same as the Muse questionnaire. For those of you who don’t know that much about The Blue Van can I suggest you use youtube or grooveshark. Now on you go 😉

    Krul Injured is a disaster,

Harper – slow should now be retired
    Elliot – Simply poor.

Fraser Forster – potentially very good and sold for pennies, (that were not re-invested, oh my word)

Morning Jesper…I saw the Blue Van a few years back (Supporting Jet in Bournemouth)…pretty decent. Is one of their songs called the odyssey? Sounds about right….really not sure what I did with the album, but it was enjoyable.

On topic….Are people really wound up that we didn’t buy a new keeper this summer? Really? I get being p*ss*d that Krul is out, but come on. Has there been any updates on players injuries / timelines?

    Hi Guys
Forget all this talk about Ashley selling up – it aint gonna happen, if there was a prize for the best advertising hoarding in the UK – Sports Direct at SJP would win it hands down, and its all for free, its on show all over the UK and best part of Europe every week, look whats its done to Sports Direct profits, up up and away leaving the rest trailing. Hes a bully boy and SJP is one of his toys accept it, if we were in his shoes we would probably do the same. By the way are the sheets over the SD signs all down now that the olympics are over.

ash1001….Many have thought for a while the advertising is a big factor for Ashley and despite our gross luck with injuries so far (People can say lack of planning all they want, we have the highest number of injuries in the PL – last time I checked we were joint top and now we’ve lost Timmy, so i’m guessing), Ashley has been building a good squad, so I can handle the free ad’s personally.

Jesper…I think we need a blue van on here. (Ash, this wasn’t aimed at you, but based on a long history of interacting with people on here in need of medication) 🙂

P.S. In your comment, would it be fair to remove the word “town”?

Ibiza…why do you think I decided to do a questionnaire about The Blue Van? 😉 lol

    …it is fitting isn’t it 🙂

About you question, I would have to say no. I was born a bread in Brønderslev (northern part of Jutland) and then moved to London for a year after I finished School. Moved to Aarhus (second largest city in DK) when I started at the Aarhus School of Architecture. I still live in Aarhus 🙂

The guy’s from the Blue Van lives in Berlin now I think…

Seriously guys come on. We have 3 goalkeepers, they are all professional footballers so must be atleast quite good. We were NEVER going to buy a gk this window. Give yer heads a shake lol.

Denmark didn’t do that great. They drew against Czech Republic here in DK. But we were experimenting with some of the younger kids who have to take over soon and did actually great. We should have won, but hi…that’s football for you!

On GK, you give your head a shake. Spurs managed to buy a decent back up GK to sit on their bench, why didn’t we? No ambition, that’s why. We all know great goalie’s like to sit on the bench, just like Forster did 🙂
