An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

Comment #2Went Elliot. To be honest, Bigi was really good, but without some of those saves, we wouldn’t have been in this game. I had little to no confidence in him a few days ago, but once again, have been proved to be no scout.
Well done Elliot.
Ed…How many more stories can we expect? Just wanting to know whether it’s worth jumping in to any discussion yet?

Comment #4Shola, the only one who seemed to recognise this was actually a game in a European competition, for points, and not a kick around in the sun.

Comment #10if from our next game we still do not show much forward play i think i will give up the belief of us finishing high this season because every week more and more signs are being shown that last season was just luck
1.don’t improve squad depth
2.have lots of injuries already
3. pardew saying wait for 10 games before rotation really begins surely too long if you battling for top 6
4.rumors of unrest with some although it is probably rubbish
5. every league game so far we have sat back until we conceded a goal.
6.that second half against everton proves to us that this team should now able to get points without being made to due to the opposition scoring one first

Gosling ran his socks off. Played 48 hours earlier too.
Shola for me.
He did everything but score and manage to create the chances off his own back. There is still life in the old dog yet!

Comment #14I voted for elliot, but tbh could of easily voted wor shola or bigi.
But voting for elliot was my slice of humble pie never really rated the lad and wasn’t impressed with him in the last couple of pre seasons or the cup games he played in but tonight showed an absolutly solid performance behind what tbf was a chaotic defense, pulled off some cracking saves and screamed at the lads to try and get them motivated, good on ya lad great game for him!
Also agree with fake ruddy shola had a cracker considering the poor service and tge fact that was his first full 90 for fcuk knows how long!!
My only concern is if maritimo get UEFA to look back at the taylor elbow cos that ciukd easily be a red card
Other than that good point away from home with a youngish squad, reckon our home games will feature a few more ‘big names’
Oh and also worried about vuckic gor a big lad he seems to be made of glass really cant see him making it purley on injuries could be a dean ashton

From yesterday – about 9 of of the u18 team that played Saturday are 16 or under. Incredible really. Not sure where the 17 an 18 year old are. I can only think they have been moved up to u21 or 1st like Bigi
Bigi was class today. Strong, good tackling and of course should not have been booked. Plays the simple pass but can also spread it well too.
We now are at the stage where we have a lot of players who are on the verge of the 1st but just need that extra bit of quality. Good example was obertan who got past his man easily tonight but could not find that killer pass. How long will we need to wait?

Comment #17what made the perforance look worse and boring i think was the fact that while our game was still goaless espn constantly kept showing the score between liverpool and youngboys had changed so it make you feel like you regret watching newcastle and might as well of watch that other game for entertainment.

Comment #21Gosling was quality tonight. I’m not his biggest fan but thought he was quality tonight. Bigi was class again and his set pieces were awesome. Santon is getting better by the game.
Shola should have scored at least two. Amalfitano and Obertan were poor, Perchy got caught out of position a few times.
Shame for Vuckic getting injured he was just getting into the game.
