Newcastle Have Chance Of First Win In 40 Years At Old Trafford

As we mentioned yesterday it’s not since February of 1972 that we last won at Old Trafford, but those runs are there to be broken, and Newcastle will be going all out to get the win against Manchester United tonight, and it could be that Alan Pardew will start Fabricio Coloccini, Cheick Tiote and Papiss Cisse, to try to get the result.

Papiss Cisse – could start tonight

Cheick and Fabricio are now fit again after being out several weeks with injury, and Papiss Cisse may start to give him a chance to break his duck in goal-scoring so far this season.

And Alan points to the fact that these three players could start to suggest he is going all out to win this game:

“Of course, those players starting says its own message and there is a good chance they will start.” “I probably wouldn’t have said we could win a trophy on the day I walked in here, but I do now.

“Sometimes, they say your name is written on the cup and you need that bit of luck.” “Sir Alex says that often. You need that bit of luck to win a cup, so hopefully it will shine on us because it has been a lot of barren years without a trophy.

“The fans are looking at the team now thinking maybe now we could do something.”

We have a feeling the game tonight will be a very good one, and we know Manchester United will bring in some of their top youngsters and fringe players for the game, and a win for Newcastle could ignite our season – the first win there in 40 years cannot be bad.

All we have to do now is to do it (so simple isn’t it?), that’s the hard part, but we have a decent chance, there’s no doubt about that.

Hope somebody spends the day calming Tiote down – if he plays like he did against Norwich when he came on then he wont be on the pitch more than 30 minutes!!

NO meat allowed, NO caffiene, lots of soothing music to get him chilled out lol. But not TOO chilled, obviously!!

Tiote was back to his first season form last week – chasing everyone and everything – and getting a booking!

Can’t understand why Pardew as good as said he will put out a very strong team, only resting a few players for the weekend.
That will just lead to ManU doing the same.
