Pardew A Great Coach – Just Like Jose Mourinho

3:41 pm, Saturday, October 6th, 2012 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 146 Comments

It’s obvious that 21 year-old Newcastle left-back Davide Santon has a very high opinion of his manager Alan Pardew, and he rates Alan alongside Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho.

Davide Santon – has a high opinion of Newcastle manager

And Davide knows all about Jose Mourinho, since the former Chelsea and Porto manager was his coach at Inter-Milan, and in fact gave him his debut for the Italian giants.

Davide left Inter-Milan for Newcastle in the summer of last year for around £5M, and he is now the starting left back at the Magpies, and has looked good so far this season.

And the Italian International credits Pardew for handling him so well after he first arrived at Newcastle, at 20 years old,  and in a new country, and he didn’t speak English.

This is what Davides said on Gazzetta dello Sport today:

“Pardew is a great coach with a lot in common with Jose Mourinho,” “He’s scrupulous, he teaches football, he knows tactics and opponents.”

“The first few months were not easy. I didn’t speak the language and coach Pardew kept me on the bench for some time.” “He explained I have to study the Premier League. He was right, he protected my integration.”

“It won’t be easy to repeat last year’s win but we will try.” “It could be the right match for our Papiss Cisse.” “He has yet to score and United is the right opponent for him to loosen up.”

Papiss is yet to score in the Premier League this season, but has one goal in the Capital One Cup against Manchester United, and an excellent goal last Thursday in the Europa League against Bordeax.

We have Manchester United as the visitors tomorrow afternoon, and it would be great to go into the International break with a good win, or at the very least a very good performance from the lads.

But a win is what we really need, after the terrific showing of Newcastle against Bordeaux on Thursday night in the Europe League, that sent us top of Group D.

setting up this Just Giving site in order to raise money for Sedhiou Hospital – Senegal (Cisse’s hometown) to get an X-Ray machine will be more difficult than expected; as to set up a page you need to select an existing charity/project to direct the money towards. Looks like getting in touch with NUFC/Papiss himself will be the only way to kick things off.

Would be fantastic if we could make it happen though.

  • 3 mattyNUFC // Oct 6, 2012 at 3:52 PM

FIFA 13 match day predictor had newcastle winning 3-2

  • 4 mattyNUFC // Oct 6, 2012 at 3:55 PM

….and i’m all for this idea with the x-ray machine

i remember mentioning the same thing a few years back about tiote…about setting up a charity for his hometown but got blasted by a lot of then posters. seem to have a better group nowadays?

think the initiative should be past over to mr Ed Harrison the, toonlyf. contacting the club as the administrator of a popular NUFC blog would be a bit more official than as a use of a popular blog.

or perhaps someone could tweet lee ryder?

    just spitballing

ay guys, just to clear it up. when Ba and Papiss score their celebration is not kissing the ground. Instead, its the part where if the eyebrows would connect be at. Demba Ba and Papiss put the top portion of their nose, all the way up to the lower portion of their forehead. Its not kissing the ground… Hope we see them do it again tomorrow vs man u !

  • 7 Baro // Oct 6, 2012 at 4:00 PM

    for tomorrow….

Matty – certainly, Ed Harrison is the man i was thinking, wouldn’t want somebody like Lee Ryder involved, he’d just plug his blog or twitter page or something. Idiot in my eyes.

  • 11 mattyNUFC // Oct 6, 2012 at 4:09 PM

my team for tomorrow (within realistic confines…at the threshold of a line up pards would choose or would not choose)

the blank CB is bc i wasn’t sure who’s injured and who’s fit.

  • 12 toonLYF // Oct 6, 2012 at 4:13 PM

I’ve sent him an email over so i’ll post up on here when a response is recieved.

  • 13 Gateshead-Mag // Oct 6, 2012 at 4:13 PM

    matty nufc

id play that team but i think you can gaurentee pardew will play jonas, and 2 strikers at home

  • 14 Gateshead-Mag // Oct 6, 2012 at 4:16 PM

cisse or ameobi to start though??

hard decision for me as i think cisse/ba play better with ameobi but with cisse scoring again maybe ba and cisse should be given 1 last chance together.

  • 15 FollowFollow // Oct 6, 2012 at 4:36 PM

I can’t remember feeling good about so many of our players as people. Its gives extra pride as a supporter.

Shola or Cisse to start? I thinks pards will be having th same thought. I think he’ll start with Cisse because he has more confidence that Shola can bring a different dimension or calm things down as a sub dependent on what’s needed at the time.

  • 16 magpie6699 // Oct 6, 2012 at 4:40 PM

Can’t see our defence letting in less than 3 goals tomorrow so the question is how many can we score against their defence?. Could be anything from 1-3 to 3-3 methinks.

  • 17 Jail for Ashley // Oct 6, 2012 at 4:54 PM

I’m still smarting from giving my ticket awsy for the same fixture last year, really hoping that we get a result that will help me get over it.

  • 18 Toon_Jock // Oct 6, 2012 at 4:55 PM

QPR are in the hurt locker – just shows spending loads of money doesn’t buy you success… LOVING IT!!!!

  • 19 Jail for Ashley // Oct 6, 2012 at 5:03 PM

I’ve just read that STaylor is still injured but Collo could make an appearance,I think a lot hinges on Collo playing,I dont think the team is full of confidence when Willo is without either of the main men.

  • 20 mattyNUFC // Oct 6, 2012 at 5:15 PM

if colo is fit is it a given that willo will be ahead of perch?

imo i’ve seen nothing to justify that

  • 21 toonLYF // Oct 6, 2012 at 5:16 PM

Jail – We all know what Pards is like, both Colo and Saylor could walk out of the tunnel tomorrow feeling fresh. Doubtful seemingly, but i can’t help think one of them will feature.

  • 22 Carryingcoals // Oct 6, 2012 at 5:18 PM

I agree with what you said about Ryder. I’ve contacted him numerous times and he’s shown no interest. Ian Dennis and Phil McNulty from the BBC on the other hand have both commented on things I’ve written and given positive feedback. Lee Ryder is disappointment. Really not a fan.

  • 23 Big Pappa Cissé // Oct 6, 2012 at 5:22 PM

Anyone else on here that plays Fifa should give Bayern Munich a go. I am normally Newcastle but when my mates start picking Barcelona and Brazil it gets a bit tough :). Gomez, Ribery & Robben are unstoppable like.

  • 24 toonLYF // Oct 6, 2012 at 5:26 PM

Carryingcoals – Ryder probably didn’t due to your blog posts being considerably better reads than his (and that’s a very honest statement, not just a punt at Ryder)

  • 25 toonLYF // Oct 6, 2012 at 5:27 PM

excited to watch Andy Carroll here, i don’t have it in me to dislike this lad, even despite his SJP penality antics last season.

  • 26 Carryingcoals // Oct 6, 2012 at 5:29 PM

    toonLYF – much appreciated mate!

Great idea about the justgiving page for the x ray machine. I mentioned this morning or maybe yesterday how great it is to have Cisse at the club as our number 9. The rapport he has with the fans is brilliant.

I fancy him to get a goal tomorrow but can’t see us doing another 3-0 against them.

  • 27 Jail for Ashley // Oct 6, 2012 at 5:40 PM

Any links to the Andy Carrol game

  • 28 Gateshead-Mag // Oct 6, 2012 at 5:45 PM

have i missed something? lol andy carrol…..Man utd…..wheres the link

  • 29 Jail for Ashley // Oct 6, 2012 at 5:50 PM

I would have loved to have had AC back, gives a different option upfont to what we have and would have kept Ba and Cisse right on their toes.

  • 30 Big Pappa Cissé // Oct 6, 2012 at 5:51 PM

wow. I knew we should have went for Diame on a free like , what a goal

  • 31 Gateshead-Mag // Oct 6, 2012 at 5:54 PM

a said all summer we should take AC back, people saying we dont play like that anymore, last time a checked weve played most long balls in premier league, with andy carrol playing alongside ba or cisse wed be lethal i rekon, gives us something different

  • 32 Big Pappa Cissé // Oct 6, 2012 at 5:55 PM

I would have had AC back but not at the cost of Ba or Cisse. He would have been great as our third striker like Shola is now

  • 33 Gateshead-Mag // Oct 6, 2012 at 5:59 PM

    big pappa cisse

aye thats what i mean mate, i didnt mean sell one of them. carrol could play alongside either of them and would probly be a better pairing than them 2 together atm

  • 34 toonarmydownsouth // Oct 6, 2012 at 6:04 PM

Not wanting to start this arguement again cos it got done to def but surely shola’s performances have justified not spending the quoted £18 mil on AC and shown we can wait for him no need to rush in and get the lad? Also maybe that we should have more faith in pards and our coaching staff?

  • 35 Jail for Ashley // Oct 6, 2012 at 6:31 PM

It’s not that he’s worth 18M,if you look at the cost of other stikers he probably is worth that,I just wouldn’t have liked us to put that much money in Liverpools coffers to strengthen their team, would be great to see AC doing great elsewhere on loan while they paid half of his wages before coming back to us on a free.

  • 36 JP...from The Rock // Oct 6, 2012 at 6:33 PM

That comparison sucks Ed, Pardew is much better than Mourinho any day! Pardew has worked for his success whereas Mourinho has been given almost every chance of success with loads of money to help him. I really like Pardew and it’s clear for all to see (even Ashley) that he’s doing a fabulous job rewarding him with an incredible 8 year contract.

Diame had been my top pick for a DM for a long long time. He could walk into just about any team

on FIFA, can people play eachother if they’re on different consoles? (i play on PC) if so my name, i think, is matt_micheletti. add me!

  • 39 archaeomag // Oct 6, 2012 at 6:38 PM

On the subject of managers – I see even the BBC is reporting Alan Shearer is thinking about Blackburn

Personally, I think he’d be mad to get involved with the Venki chicken stranglers.

  • 40 JP...from The Rock // Oct 6, 2012 at 6:39 PM

Do we have a chant for big Demba Ba?? Cuz every time I watch a match on telly I can only hear the Papiss Cisse chants.

We need to show this goal machine our appreciation before it’s too late come January.

  • 41 Gateshead-Mag // Oct 6, 2012 at 6:40 PM

dont think you can say that about moriniho like, he was more successful in his 2 years at chelsea than any of there other numerous managers that all had the same money to play with, also when was the last time inter won the champions league and where are they now?? not forgetting what he did at porto.

i love pardew and hes right for us but surely moriniho is the best coach in the world

  • 42 mattyNUFC // Oct 6, 2012 at 6:41 PM

please not AC again, please please please!

the difference, gateshead mag, is that although we’ve yet to find this fluid passing game on a consistent basis, AC’s return, in fan’s opinions who are against him coming back, like mine, is that it hints towards a regurgitation of the same old stuff….hoof and hope. that’s not what i want to see at all. the match vs bordeaux with a group of our ‘weaker’ players proves we can play the type of passing game i want to see. if we need to mix it up, i’d much rather have shola instead of crunching the wage bill to accommodate carroll.

  • 43 Jail for Ashley // Oct 6, 2012 at 6:42 PM

I totally admire your loyalty to Pards but money or not Mourinho has won the league in four different countries, the double in three and the treble in two and is currently in charge of one of the top five clubs in the
world,Pards has been sacked from every club he’s been at bar us and Reading.

  • 44 mattyNUFC // Oct 6, 2012 at 6:43 PM

if any player comes back, i hope it’d be Jose. He’s not sitting too pretty with his manager right now and, if i were the ‘powers that be’, i’d lodge a 3mil bid and try to get him back in January….personally

  • 45 Big Pappa Cissé // Oct 6, 2012 at 6:44 PM

    @ JP

Sure we do. the “Demba scored 16 since Ramadan, he just can’t get enough, he just can’t get enough” :)

  • 46 Peter Beardsley // Oct 6, 2012 at 6:45 PM

Maybe try “Virgin Donate” I think its called. A few friends of mine set an account up to raise money for cancer charity after one of our friends passed, it worked well and as Virgin is also our team sponser, maybe get them to form a partnership eg: NUFC, Virgin and the blog? Could be good all round with extra publicity? Just a thought anyway, good luck mate.

  • 47 toonarmydownsouth // Oct 6, 2012 at 6:46 PM

No one wants to see any money go into liverpool look at how stoke robbed them for adam bought for £10m sold for £4m!
Dont think it matters though as i understand it he’s got an automatic trigger if west ham survive

  • 48 mattyNUFC // Oct 6, 2012 at 6:47 PM

  • 50 JP...from The Rock // Oct 6, 2012 at 6:49 PM

Gateshead-Mag – I have to agree to disagree I am afraid. You’re right on Porto there he did work for it and probably the only time too. The other times all he was good at was handling the big egos but hey Pardew’s good at that too. Mourinho is a man a despise with a passion, it’s funny how he ended up in Real Madrid the team I most hate in the world. There are many more better managers out there like Alex Ferguson, Wenger, Hitzfeld, Sir Bobby RIP, etc.

In Chelsea it was the beginning of the Abromavich era and he was drowned in cash in a way that was new to the EPL. He bought success then only managed their ego’s, much easier than building from the bottom like we are doing now with Pardew.

Apart from that his arrogance ‘the special one’- who the hell does he think he is? I don’t care if he speaks fondly of NUFC just because his old mentor back in the day was Sir Bobby, you can paint a turd blue it’s still Sh*T! 😛

    Long Live Pardew and Co.

  • 51 Gateshead-Mag // Oct 6, 2012 at 6:49 PM

carroll coming back for me would mean 50 grand a week tops for no more than 12 million and apart from maybe derby day id have him ova shola all year round, having one player makes no difference to how we should play, hes not a one trick pony, has far more to his game than that, corners, free kicks, crosses, hold up play, plenty ways he could improve our team

  • 52 p // Oct 6, 2012 at 6:55 PM

Not optimistic about tomorrow, a lot of people writing them. That’s when they are often most dangerous

  • 53 JP...from The Rock // Oct 6, 2012 at 6:55 PM

The day Mourinho turns an Everton, Fulham, Villa Real etc into a title challenging or even a top 4 team with minimum cash then I will stop to praise him. Till then he’ll be an arrogant, sensationalist prick in my eyes.

  • 54 mattyNUFC // Oct 6, 2012 at 6:56 PM

and i take the thought that, for 12mil and 50/week, you could have someone much much more versatile….hell, you could have two youngsters for that price with more promise and let them fight it out for a 3rd or 2nd striker spot ( a la John Guidetti who is STILL at city….Eren Derdyiok? Kovacic? Cabella? Narsingh? Mertens?…some are a bit more established, others maybe beyond our reach, but point is, there’s so much better talent in that price range or under than AC imo)

  • 55 Gateshead-Mag // Oct 6, 2012 at 6:57 PM

fair do’s mate but i think hes got alot more about him than that.

on sir bobby, i just wish wed got him a few years earlier, someone said ages ago that when kevin keegean left the first time john hall tried to get him from barcelona….

imagine if sir bobby had taken over the entertainers. could have been a completely different history for NUFC

    its nice to dream

  • 56 mattyNUFC // Oct 6, 2012 at 6:57 PM

agree about Mourinho. don’t understand why a manager who claims to be the best wouldn’t want a bigger challenge

at the same time, Pards has yet to do any of those things you mentioned….and i don’t for one second believe Mourinho is an inferior manager to Pards. what he did with Porto was incredible

  • 57 toonarmydownsouth // Oct 6, 2012 at 7:01 PM

The problem is were not gonna get him on 50k a week for £12mil when liverpool are paying him 90k a week and have a deal in place for £18mil!!
Also for me the fact he said he would never go to west ham and then went when they offered him 10k more than he’s on at the bin dippers shows what he’s all about

  • 58 Jail for Ashley // Oct 6, 2012 at 7:04 PM

Ha ha fwir enough if you despise the man thst much,I think Alex Ferguson is probably the best manager in the world down to his trophy haul and loyalty to Man U,but I would say Mourinho is definitely in second I certainly wouldn’t bet against him winning the Champions league in four different countries.

  • 59 JP...from The Rock // Oct 6, 2012 at 7:06 PM

Gateshead-Mag – You said it mate, unfortunately we can only dream now :/ . That would have been something. May Sir Bobby RIP poor soul.

mattyNUFC – What he did at Porto was something special but Porto was already one of the biggest clubs in Portugal and if I am not mistaken already had the likes of Deco in their squad who eventually played for Barcelona. Porto is still a much better club than Everton and Fulham to put things into perspective, and the Portuguese league is weaker.

The reason he doesn’t want a bigger challenge is because he is afraid of failure and only after sensational headlines. Why else would he only go to the best teams in Europe to manage and why else would he run across the sidelines when Real Madrid score to make the headlines and to comfort his self centered ego.

  • 60 mattyNUFC // Oct 6, 2012 at 7:09 PM

i would not put it past mourinho though to take up with the likes of an Everton, Tottenham, or, dare i say it, a Newcastle…..

    for the aforementioned reasons…

  • 61 Jail for Ashley // Oct 6, 2012 at 7:12 PM

This is in danger of sounding like a Kets type comment but I would have had Oba femi Martins back he knew where the back of the net was and always seems to speak fondly of the club, maybe his possible involment in ACON would have been a stumbling block.

  • 62 JP...from The Rock // Oct 6, 2012 at 7:15 PM

mattyNUFC – I doubt he will any time soon. Though since his reputation has gone sky high I doubt he would have the balls to risk it, I think he knows what he’s capable of and knows that ‘easy, rich’ teams suit him best. I would love to see him try his luck with a Fulham more than an Everton, or even us. The Toffees and Spurs have a solid foundation in place and could offer him the cash. I want him to test himself with the infrastructure at Fulham for example FIRST, then if he truly proves himself with them then I am all arms.

  • 63 toonLYF // Oct 6, 2012 at 7:21 PM

matty – another good idea, which i have acted upon. Would just like to say i didn’t initially come up with this fundraising idea (just so i don’t get undeserved credit), i just really support the idea, not only for Papiss, but for Senegal too, and i’m simply sending emails left right and centre in order to try and get people involved.

  • 64 Gateshead-Mag // Oct 6, 2012 at 7:23 PM

i think the whole west ham move only happened because newcastle wouldnt budge on their offer and west ham meant actually getting to play

still think hel end up back here in a few years and finish his career here, one of the ‘grass isnt always greener crew’

  • 65 JP...from The Rock // Oct 6, 2012 at 7:25 PM

Jail for Ashley – As much as I loved it when we signed Martins he was a real disapointment in reality. His first season was incredible and then didn’t do much after that. I can vividly remember he easily side stepped the Spurs goalie once to win the match 4-0 for us. Those moments were too far and between as he was not consistent enough. Martins was like Obertan is now-frustrating to watch but talented. I also think he is much older than what he and his dodgy passport say he is lol

  • 68 mattyNUFC // Oct 6, 2012 at 7:26 PM

I think there are more than a few screws loose with Martins. the guys was spending more than his 80k a week wages in a week. he was incredibly in debt when he left here.

I really think the guys has Aspergers or something. that’s not even meant to be a slight….and im sure he’s at least in his 30s

  • 69 Gateshead-Mag // Oct 6, 2012 at 7:26 PM

on the whole moriniho small clubs thing, managers like players want to be at the top clubs winning majour honours and what he has done at each club has paved his way to the next one, maybe when hes been at real madrid a few more years he will seek pastures new but id says hes pretty much at the top of the pile now, for a man of relatively young managerial years thats not half bad

  • 70 JP...from The Rock // Oct 6, 2012 at 7:30 PM

  • 73 Jail for Ashley // Oct 6, 2012 at 7:42 PM

I don’t think even the daftest of rich Arabs would stump up what it would take for Mashley to give up his free advertising,I think once Mourinho has won the CL with Madrid him and Man city are a perfect pairing.

  • 74 JP...from The Rock // Oct 6, 2012 at 7:42 PM

chris – The grass is always greener on the other side. But I am perfectly happy to be on this side of the fence with Pardew and building slowly but surely. In fact we aren’t going slowly at all, to think we were in the fizzy league a couple of years ago, now look at the strong team we’re quickly assembling. Ashley has sort of slowed it down by holding back on 1M here or there and not getting the player we needed at the time. But as recent history has shown sometimes even that tactic turns out to be a blessing. Maybe in January we will further boos the squad with some great additions-who knows but I like what we’re doing here with Pardew and co. We’ve always craved for stability and now we seem to have it with Pardew and Carr on massive 8 year contracts and most of our key players tied to long term contracts that only a big money offer will lure them away. Mourinho can go do one for now 😛

    2-1 tomorrow HWTL

  • 75 mattyNUFC // Oct 6, 2012 at 7:44 PM

i think i can speak conclusively when most folks on this blog, pro or anti pardew do not want that at all

personally, i don’t like pardew, as a tactician, man-manager and i think he’s missing quite a bit in the character department if i’m honest

wouldn’t trade ashley and pards for an arab and jose though. never

Generous words David, Pards has done super, may go on to do great things, but you can’t seriously compare him to Mourinho. I think Pards would raise a wry smile at that suggestion at this stage of the game.

I like Pards and even Ashley despite some misgivings, but i’d swap them both for Arab ownership and Mourinho faster than corn through a goose.

  • 107 jawballsaswallwell // Oct 6, 2012 at 9:04 PM

I suppose you have to draw the line somewhere otherwise you’re just stating the bleeding obvious, but Colo would certainly be in my top 5 most influential, but which one of the other 5 wouldn’t. Vexing!

  • 108 ppb // Oct 6, 2012 at 9:07 PM

@hopper I’ve scored insane goals with bigi anita tiote and imbula arriving late in the box. bigi is 66 or 68 on mine. he’s good for his rating. the fact he has the agility ability

  • 109 ppb // Oct 6, 2012 at 9:09 PM

makes me think he will get really rather good.
@jaw good point. maybe more super 6 then?

ppb hijacking the blog for fifa and personal issues.
back to footy. if we win whose performance will it rely on? i say pards.
if we lose who will be the man u star?
i think our most important player will be harps.

  • 120 ppb // Oct 6, 2012 at 9:48 PM

a hopper im overweight (5ft9 16stone) but running and bag work cpunteracting my appetite. weights is to keep my chest back and arms up with my gut and hips lol

  • 121 eaststandgeordie1982 // Oct 6, 2012 at 9:51 PM

Mbwia went from 80 to 82 in 10 games for me

  • 122 eaststandgeordie1982 // Oct 6, 2012 at 9:53 PM

Its all about our defence tomorrow

  • 123 hoppernufc // Oct 6, 2012 at 9:55 PM

Ppb- hahaha. Yeah I agree pards has to get it right the formation, personnel and substitutions need to be spot on, I think it will be a 2-2 draw tomorow, think benny will once again be our main man

  • 124 ppb // Oct 6, 2012 at 9:57 PM

@eastand the players increases a lot in the first few months like it slows down a little but picks up the next year i dare say mbiwa could peak around 88-89.
and i think willo will be very important tomorrow. needs to be careful gettin rough with Webb as ref.

  • 125 nico // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:01 PM

    The Wonga Stadium.

    Not sure about that??

  • 126 ppb // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:04 PM

@nico moneysupermarket sponsor stadium called footysupermarket?

  • 127 nico // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:05 PM

Apparently Wonga will be our new sponsor next season. Shirt and possibly stadium.8 million a year. Doesn’t seem much.

  • 128 ppb // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:07 PM

also the tagline could be “we will look for the best price for our players”

  • 129 nico // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:08 PM

Well if the interest rate is out to go by we’ll be worth a fortune.

  • 130 ppb // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:09 PM

@nico doesn’t seem right. sounds like somebody taking the piss out of ashley. 8m? isn’t that less than virgin? or not much more. not a good deal if naming rights are included.

  • 131 ppb // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:10 PM

    @nico lol

  • 132 nufc786 // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:12 PM
yup nico bit of substance about wonga

  • 133 Tsunki // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:12 PM

Wonga? get lost I will not buy a shirt with that on. No way. this sounds like a mackem rumour in response to their boylesports tacky bet shop sponsor.

  • 134 nufc786 // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:13 PM

    wonga direct arena???????

  • 135 nufc786 // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:18 PM

guys you couldnt let me kill the blog on tht negative note would you

  • 136 Tsunki // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:20 PM

Ha ok lets get this straight – we have a £10m deal for shirt only, then ditch it prematurely so we can begin talking to Wonga about a shirt AND stadium deal for £2m LESS? Is this crazy business or what? It might follow the Wonga model to be seriously negligent about planning ahead financially, but I would be worried if Mike actually went about it this way.

    Crap reporting more like.

  • 137 Tsunki // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:21 PM

nufc786 – Worry not I am here to assist. It doesn’t stand a chance :)

  • 138 nufc786 // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:22 PM

    good good

  • 139 Big Pappa Cissé // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:22 PM

I hope not. Those pay day loan companys are a joke and charging those kind of intrest rates should be illegal. Then again some people are stupid enough to use them so maybe its their own fault

  • 140 Colo-Sus // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:25 PM

So according the telegraph…..we are going to be sponsored by and they are also going to rename St James Park, Wonga Arena…….The mackems are going to have a field day….an to he honest so they should What a fooking joke!!!

  • 141 jawballsaswallwell // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:25 PM

Shirt and ground sponsored by a usury company with a name that sounds uncomfortably like “wanga,” that’s cock in Australian slang, ie “wanga rag”. Good Grief!

  • 142 spitfire_ // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:35 PM

We take 10 mill per year from Virgin Money… why we will sell both deals for 8 mill? Besides The Telegraph said that Wonga should replace Virgin from 2013/14 season which is funny after anyone knows that the contract with VM was terminated after this season.

  • 143 Gateshead-Mag // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:37 PM

anyone else feeling far more affection for the sports direct arena??

  • 144 Gateshead-Mag // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:38 PM

the end of this season will be 2013 so that would work…

  • 145 spitfire_ // Oct 6, 2012 at 10:44 PM
