I don’t get people who sit at home who don’t attend matches (armchair supporters) but complain none stop about our team. Wasn’t a great game but that was enjoyable to be at, they’re man united, before you internet trolls start complaining, how about play some football yourselves? CLUELESS!!

    Few things:

    1. Pardew needs to go back to Cisse up front, Ba on the left Ben Arfa on the right. Until he does and stops this formation to appease Ba we are going to struggle.

2.Steve Harper?? Heres a pro footballer who has hid in the background for years and years picking up good wages to do very little. Hes not good enough, how he is in the team ahead of Elliott is beyond me.

    3. Vernon Anita??? If Carr scouted this guy you want to be very worried about whether Carr has an eye for a good player. I’d be gutted if we had paid 3 million for this kid but we paid 6. He is slow across the ground, hes slow at thinking, his passes always looked scuffed…very very ordinary player.

    4. Not buying a centre half is going to cost us big time. Williamson is League 1, Championship at best….Steven Taylor is a total crock and I would look to sell him the next time he is fit, whenever that may be. We can’t keep trying to build a centre half partnership with Taylor because he will never see out more than half a season.

RVPs attack on Cabaye has been covered up

Off the ball disgusting elbow in the face

Remember Ray Stubbs last season..sent FA Prem footage of Cabaye in an incident and got him a 3 match ban

Can we all send a note to the FA and ask them to look at this cowardly attack by that Horrible Bas*ard Van Persie ?

The TV Guys did not show any close ups of the attack..
If that had been one of our players they would have showed you the attack from 50 differing angles and condemed the player . An Fa charge would have been forthcoming Monday morning.

One rule for Man U anoth…..

All opinions mate. I had a season ticket for years mate but had to give it up when i joined the Royal Navy. I have spent a fortune supporting NUFC been all over Europe with them but it does not give a more of a right to have an opinion then the person who does not go to the match does it?

First comment here but what is wrong with most of you? People seem to forget that Man United are a top 2 team, a team that also beat Arsenal 8-2 last season. Can’t believe people are actually saying that were gonna finish mid table because we got beat of Man United. We gave them a good game but got beat, and they had the ref on there side.

As for those who are saying we aren’t bothered with cups, aren’t we top of the group table?

Elliott injured now but he hasn’t been before today.

Harper is a clown, in the same mold as Given……doesn’t talk to his defence, prats around with the ball for the cameras.

He’s a coward and should have moved on years ago…..no ambition to sit as a reserve keeper for 15 years

We have been poor this season, but I do a predictor at work and we have more points than I though we would have at this stage. We have to accept our squad, first 11 quality and after that its average, young and upcoming or poor.

Our team is stronger than last season, just not as fit or lucky with injuries. We had about 11-12 games into last season with the same team every week. We hve already had Krul, Simpson, Taylorx2, Tiote, Cabaye, Elliot, Ameobix2 injured this season.

Before anyone judges the team we should support them, and wait and see how we do up to Christmas when our true stand can be seen or estimated from what we have played. Until then support them!

We lost to Man Utd 3 nil from 2 set plays (without our starting 2 CBs) and a wonderful goal no?

We haven’t turned up first half in how long? Least after 20 minutes we started to play today. Footballs tough and we were against the biggest team in the league

Still more annoyed about the Reading/Villa matches than today personally

Everyone has the same right to voice their opinion, being at the ground has nowt to do with it, a lot of people have family/personal situations where they cant justify spending the money on match day, think before you type.

pawl250 if you think we’re ahead of schedule this season then I’m sorry you must have us finishing 14th or worse.

Yes this was Man Utd but this Man Utd team will not come close to winning the title this season. Its the most ordinary Man Utd I’ve ever seen.

We look completely disjointed this season and pardew needs to sort that out asap.

I coulnd’t care a less if Ba takes the huff, its meant to be whats best for the team and if going back to 433 with him on the left then so be it.

Good post. Well said. We built last season’s success on the same faces playing every week. You could really see the understanding between a settled back 4. As good as Ben Arfa is, Coli is our most important player. Raises the bar of the defense and as a whole team we look far more assured with his presence. Still very early doors.

It wasn’t as if RVP ran in behind WIllo and Perch every 10 minutes and had a clear cut chance today, its not how it happened.

NUFC sale I agree with some of your views most strongly the not buying a defender which was much needed. It was obvious Colo and STaylor have injuries throughout a season, why we didn’t buy better cover than Williamson is beyond me.

Anita is not slow, he is in my opinion moulded fr a fullback position and doesn’t hve the physical presence to play centre midfield. He can pass, but for me has adapted to the pace of the PL looking a lot more at ease against European teams in the EL where the pace is slower.

Harper is finished. I feel Krul would have stopped the first goal, second goal he wasn’t at fault and I personally thought the 3rd was all his fault. He is far too slow and for me I agree should be thrid choice, not 2nd. I know Elliot is injured but I agree it wouldn’t have made a difference I personally think Pardew would have started Harper regardless.

I don’t think we are all that bad though, and for me I think you argument for Ba on the left is a silly one. 4-3-3 may work it may not but the argument stands would Ba score the goals he has right now had he been on the left? I would think not, maybe 1-2 of them but certainly wouldn’t have saved us against Reading for example.

Ok say we got tonked by united. Given our lackluster performance its no big shock. What was the likelihood of us beating them three nil this time? They didn’t over awe us as the pundits made out, they scored two goals from set pieces and got a fortuitous third. By pundits I mean Gary I bum fergie Neville. The only thing I Will say is I hope van pussy gets reprimanded. He is a talent, but also an absolute cheating disgrace. Rant over.

WWYCD – agree with you. The first 20 minutes of the game – as ever – we were poor. To concede goals due to good play by the opposition is upsetting but to give 2 goals away from corners within fifteen minutes is bleedin’ awful! After taht we were chasing the game but we did put some effort and created some half-chances and one near-miss (or was it in?) The third goal – brilliant or flukey – you can do nothing about and it killed the game.
Though Jonas, Prchinho and Santon never stopped but Benny had 2-3 players on him all the time and Baand Cisse didn’t set the world n fire.
Hey – it’s one game – 2 week break, nobody sent off, Colo and Saylor maybe back soon – can’t believe I’m this relaxed about things!

    Well said. Agreed.

    NUFC FOR SALE

In your opinion, what does ‘come close to winning the title this season’ involve? Top 3? Man U will most certainly be there. I see them winning it personally.

Have you considered Cisse trying out the left side of the 4-3-3? Against Bordeaux he lined up on the right of it, scored and had an ok game. Putting Ba there would be detrimental to the side at present – this being because he is playing so well, not because he could potentially take the huff.

The team must evolve and the fans must equally realise how far we’ve come and what a great position we’re in as a club. Patience.
