Hatem Ben Arfa is looking forward to this afternoon’s game at the Stadium of Light and it turns out he has never played there before, but it seems like he cannot wait to get out there – and maybe score a goal or two for Newcastle this afternoon?

This is what Ben Arfa – capped 13 times for France so far – had to say in the Mail:
“We are confident because we know we have very good players in our squad. That’s why we are confident.” “In the Premier League, we have to win to get more confidence. In the last few games, we didn’t take a lot of points.”
“We have to get our confidence back. We have to win consecutive games to have high confidence.” ‘We have very good players. On the pitch, everyone wants to do very well in this game.”
“All the fans want to play this game, but they can’t, and we going to give all our energy for this game.” “Everyone in the club, even in the kitchen, has told me, ‘Now you have to score’ and ‘Now you have to win.”
“It’s the biggest game for Newcastle this season. For the last week, every time I go into town, people have talked just about this game.” ‘I’m looking forward to playing this game. I’m very happy to play this game. I’m sure every player wants to win this game for the fans.”
“Last year, I played one half. I felt the atmosphere was very great, not like other games.” “I have never played in Sunderland before, so I will see what happens there, but I think it’s going to be very hard.” “The fans from Sunderland are going to make a lot of noise.’
Only Ben Arfa and Demba Ba have so far scored for Newcastle in the Premier League so far this season, so we may see first time league goals from some Newcastle players today – hope so.
Ben Arfa has two goals and Demba Ba six goals in the league so far this season, and for the record Ben Arfa has appeared 41 times for Newcastle with 9 goals and 8 assists – and that’s a good record the Frenchman has built on Tyneside.
We hope it’s even better after today’s game at the Stadium of Light.
Maybe it’s Ben Arfa who will be the Newcastle hero at 3:30 pm this afternoon? 😀

Comment #1Would be good to see him score 2 or 3 of his “Specials” against the unwashed down the road. Let them see what a really good football player can do – purely from an educational point of view, obviously lol

Never happen! It’s going to be 442 hoof again with Cabs sitting way too deep. Always live in hope though that Pards might tumble to what worked so well last season and we could sill play Ba in the middle.
