An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

Comment #3It certainly wasn’t (sh) Ameobi, 28 outshone 23 this evening! Shola just shot when he got possession, unimpressive from him to be honest

Comment #5Sammy isnt included on this list…
I’d say Sammy was best in the first half, Obertan in the second.
Fergie, Saylor, and Santon both played very well too.

Comment #6really pleased with the win love the look of our future players, fergie and sameobi in particular. whats everyones thoughts on tiote? he’s always getting booked or sent off and his passing is nothing more than abysmal would like to see perch or bigi get there chance over next few games

Comment #8Sammy MOTM for me. Well done Toon, a win this Sunday is within our sights and away to Liverpool after that. Things are looking up, we need to start scoring more goals though. A nicely rested HBA might have something to say about that!

Comment #11i can’t see why so many opinions are about poor tactics a goal scorer playing poor and having 3 DM in the same team.
what i would have thought should be the talking points is who out of perch bigi and anita should start on sunday
when we play the next europa game weather vuckic an tav will fit in and is obatan heading in a simular direction to HBA playing more of a CAM behind front 2 rather than a winger.

Comment #13Pre empting the vote for best player, I struggle to pick between Gabby, Ferg and Santon! All 3 were superb tonight!! Shola was solid as always, sammy showed some world class touches, perch getting better each week and have to agree with others than 3 central DM’s is not really the way to go. but another win, never under threat and a bigger crowd than last time which was nice to see.
Well done lads !!! Toon Toon

Comment #14I think our issue here is that we don’t have a proper CM to cover for Cabaye.
There are simply no through balls if Cabaye is not on the pitch.
We have to sort that somehow.

Comment #16I’m still very disappointed with our crossing and set plays. I think we have yet to score a goal from set plays this season.

Excellent point re creative CM’s. We do have HBA of course and his work rate these days is so much better, but he seems to play on the wing all the time. Can see why, the 3 pronged attack is lethal on its day. Tiote, Bigi, Perch and Anita all defensively minded. I would say that we’d sign a creative CM this January… but I doubt we will. If Marveaux can break his way into the 1st team we could play Guti there but that’s still not ideal.

Comment #18I voted for Santon, but I would’ve gone for Sammi if he would’ve played the whole match.
Obertan had a better second half, but didn’t deserve man of the match.

Comment #19Sammy for me, so i’ll vote when he’s added. Obertan was a close second, looking good this season, really using his pace which I didn’t think he did when he first showed up.

Comment #20over all 4 players stood out for me today and this is what i made of them 4
1. sammy he such a fast paced MF/forward and today had some excellent creation for the chances and no matter how many players were coming at him he did excellent keeping hold of the ball and finding the right pass and is my MOTM
2.ferguson his link up was superb especially while obatan was on his side and if he continues to act like he is i get a sense he could be newcastles baines
3.obatan might not have good crosses but i think this goal could be a turning point in how he does, not all wide men do good crossing the ball some like him and HBA are designed more in a style where they run in at the goal themselves or make a short pass to someone, last season he was starting games which mostly contained a tall forward (best) and a forward who does little movment and instead just shoots whatever ball reaches him where as these europa league game our midfield has did much more aggressive play which helps obatan gain more space for the run into the box.
finally 4 saylor what i like best about him today was the way he performed as captain and i think that premier league game which we are missing colo he would make a better captain that jonas because taylor like colo knows the defences is important and he will be around for the things that need most command where as jonas is all over so can be so easilly too busy with other things to keep the organisation of defence and set pieces which i find is what captain main command occur.
