When Newcastle signed Yven Moyo two years ago on a four-year deal, we reported this was a great signing for Newcastle, and showed the club were after the top youngsters in Europe.
Yven Moyo – signed two years ago from Sochaux
But over the last two years the 20 year-old has not come through as we had expected, and Alan Pardew has now said he is available to go out on loan.
The Orleans, France born player was one of the top 18 year-olds in France when he joined the club in September of 2010, and maybe a time out on loan to a low league club will do him the world of good.
It seems there are a number of League One and League Two clubs lining up to take the player out on loan, according to Sky Sports.
Yven will have to come through at the club in the next year or two, otherwise when his contract runs out a year come June, it will not be renewed on Tyneside.
Moyo arrived from Sochaux, and he played four times for the french U18 side, and has played twice for the full Congo national side, making his international debut on 11 November 2011 in a 5–0 victory over São Tomé and Príncipe, in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Funny isn’t it? there you have big teams with bigger squads willing to gamble on 17-18years old and giving them chance because they have skills, while we have small squad and gave youngsters very small chance to play

Is Gael doing a great job for us so far? Based on his performances compare to others, does he deserve more playing time than under performers?

Comment #5He doesn’t even figur regular in our U21 and when he plays it is at LB…
…maybe that is why he is not coming through as hoped? (or maybe those who are in charge of bringing them through as simply not good enough)

Comment #6Santon – take sterling for example at Liverpool I wouldn’t say he’s any better than sammi or fergie he just looks it bcoz he’s being giving a proper chance in the first team
Adam Campbell should b getting 20mins at the end of games pardew says he’s as good as any player in training well give him his chance

You have to remember that quite a few PL coaches are new to the clubs this season, so especially many will be bled.
AP is on the side of caution i would think, but last EL game we had an average age of 22,7 years.
So people are getting their chances, but have to perform each time.
AP has said so.

Comment #9Feel for this lad broke his leg in first season within a few weeks of signing, then started last season on fire on the wing, then they put at left back which he is not

Comment #10Santon…I most admit that I didn’t know anything about Bigi when we signed him.
So whether or not he should have been out on loan I wouldn’t have known.
I don’t think he is amazing, but seems a good prospect. I still believe you have to be carefull with the youngsters.
We tend to believe our youngsters are better than they are and not many have come through here.
I’ll take my cue from the likes of Arsenal and Man Utd who seem to know what they are doing.

Comment #1210 or more 20 years old were dismissed in summer, players on loan at Gateshead usually, 1 at St Mirren, when other PL clubs loan to clubs in the top 2 leagues. Are we not bringing the players on properly or are we not recruiting the right talent? Something seems amiss.
