It’s So Important For Newcastle To Keep Top Players

Tim Krul believes that in the next few weeks can see Newcastle get back up that league table, and we have Liverpool away, West Ham and Swansea at home, and then Southampton away – and surely we can pick up a good number of points from those games.

Demba Ba – massive success at Newcastle

Newcastle are currently 10th in the table on 13 points form 9 games, but we are only four points behind Tottenham in 4th place, so we could quickly move up that table with a few wins in the upcoming games.

And it will be interesting to see if Demba ba can make it on Sunday, although we feel that he will not be risked unless he is 100% fit to play.

And with liverpool said to be interested in buying the striker in January, Tim Krul has come out and said Ba’s a great player and that we need to keep hold of these top players at the club:

“I think he is a fantastic player.” “He’s a team player and he’s not just there for himself – he puts the work in.” “We knew he would be on fire again from what he did last season.”

“And he’s one of the star players.” “If we keep hold of the top players, we are going to do well again this season.”

Come the end of January we are hoping we can bring in two top players to the club, and that we can keep all out top players including Demba Ba, whose release clause in his contract becomes active again in January.

Does this lad want to stay at Newcastle or not – it’s very hard to know the answer to that important question.

What do you think?

Repost from last thread about Tim’s “..Liverpool arent what they used to be..” statement..
Oh Timmy why do you make such a comment. Always say about the opponent: “They are a very good team.. they have some very great players .. it will be tough.. we will do our best.. ” Well thats what I think anyway, why would you try to give the opponents motivation.

Why would Ba want to play anywhere else? He is staying and so are all the other top players for exactly the same reason. NUFC is not a selling club.

    Timmy Krul,

Neither are the Toon. 1996 vintage or todays stars? No brainer mate. One team played football and the other plays lump ball.

If Ba’s knee is a timebomb for the club,. it has to be one for the lad himself and his career over. There’s no doubt he will follow the wages. Wouldn’t you?

Ba’s rated 50/50. We are rated 5/1. Nuff said.

Sav…Do you think Ba has trouble getting through airport securities with this ticking time bomb attached to his knee?

In response to your point, it really comes down to the person and what the alternatives are. Is he just looking to move clubs every season or two to boost his bank balance or is he happy with what he’s earning and would rather play at a club he loves and where he is loved? I believe there are still a few of those types around these days, but they seem in the minority. Personally, I have no idea where Ba stands.

It’s one of those “if it were me” questions, but then we’re all mags so its a no brainer, we’d play till we dropped.

I’d (here comes kk) love it if he stayed, and reading how he comes across, he’s one of those were you’d like to think he’s here for the long haul, but then what footballers these days can you hand on heart can say play for a club that ain’t won silverware are happy to stay?

The last one I can remember is Le Tissier

Personally I think Ba like sthe club, but would have no issue leaving. He needs to be our main man, scoring goals, with creative players around him, with possibly the best salary at the club bar Colo. We need to give him those things. He’s quite simply an awesome player.

If Ba leaves would love to see Doumbia or Remy come in £16m should be enough to get one of them. Both wouldn’t mind playing in that attacking left wing role that Ba dont seem to like and go back to our 4-3-3 formation that we use so well.

The answer is simple. BA but that get out in his contract, you don’t Bo that if you want to stay.

Cant see liverpool buying from us again after the andy carol farce.I also think BA knee problems would frighten most clubs away.Hope so because we need him here for the future.

@microbar, I sure could! 7m for one of EPL’s leading strikers? That’s nothing compared to the 35m they splurged on an in form youngster.
