Today, it was all a mind problem.

    We played like absolute underdogs.

In the second half, we were too low on the pitch, and we lost our nerves.

A good team must feel more secure in such circumstances.

This is the difference between us and the top sides.

Anyway, we’re only three points away of the the fourth place, so, not a bad week for us.

    Got to go lads.

    Bonne soirée messieurs.

supermagpie – To clarify my previous post, if Colo makes contact with him it is a clear red card, no complains. Colo makes no contact with the player and he goes down like a sack of tatties. Studs up, yes. Contact no.

after what i watched today i regret all the stick i give pardew for the team lacking aggressive because when you have 2 widemeHBA, jonas who constantly giving the ball away and a forward who does very little to help no wonder we are sitting back all the time.
so why should simmo both getting forward when HBA is so ball greedy why should cabaye play aggressively when jonas gives the ball away and how can ba recieve and balls he does get passed if cisse stands around.

Pardew was a bit clueless today. We need to fix our attack. Cisse doesn’t look like a 1 million pound player let alone a £9million player. Colocinni had another shocking performance. Glad he’s suspended so the williamson-taylor partnership is given a chance

get a sense pardew could find himself in a no win situation with a lot of blogger on here because if he were to improve our forward play he should not be playing ball greedy players but what that means is taking HBA of because of how selfish he is ATM.

Ball retention was shocking today like. We win the ball back and then hoof it long whether its Krul or Taylor and invite the pressure back on ourselves. I never thought a team with the likes of Cabaye,Ben Arfa,Anita would not be able to string two passes together. The only time we looked half decent today was the five minutes before the break after Cabaye scored

I was going to say cisse and Jonas need dropping but with injuries to Ba, cabaye and perch with a suspension for collocini can we afford to?

i can’t believe people are agreeing with Colo’s sending off. He clearly pulls out of the challenge, and makes next to no contact with Suarez at all. To say there was intent is ludicrous.

Jonas looks like an old man, no pace, gives the ball away constantly, if he found a team mate as often as he is on his bum hed be good. His selection reflects on the manager. Too many players go missing for too long.
Well played Taylor and Santon with a little help from Krul, they had a handful in Suarez

Your mental saying your glad Colo is suspended

How is Pardew clueless, he got us a draw at Anfield with that load of players who kept losing possesion in most of the attacks we had

Steven Taylor our best player by a mile.

    Jonas and Cisse were rubbish.

    Lucky point in the end.

i was well impressed with anita, in both positions today, didnt waste many balls

colo had a mare, even before the red

taylor looked calm, getting back to his best

santon,, made some good runs up the wing

simpson,, not a bad showing, but very little support going forwad

jonas,, should not be playing right now,

perch did ok up to his injury

cabaye, getting better, looks better higher up the pitch, took the goal well

cisse, needs to be up top with lots of support, if not he is a passenger

BA, played very well, at both ends

    sammy, looked a real threat,

ferg, hard to gave him anything, to late and in wrong position

pardew,, got his team wrong in my opinion

433, with BA,CISSE, or SHOLA playing wide is wasting a shirt
jonas, again,, why is he getting a shirt to right now, anita proved he is better than him as is young bigi,

Take your B&W specs off. Pulls out? He clearly juts his leg towards Suarez, but misses, my only complaint is that he didn’t do a proper job of it.

Given the shockingly bad performances recently from Liverpool we knew that they had to come out strongly, and this they did for the first 15/20 minutes but we held firm and got back into the game. It was a very good display under very difficult circumstances especially so with three enforced substitions, and a late sending off which was deserved.

I was very impressed with Anita when he moved into midfield. I thought Simpson did well as did Santon. But the star player was Taylor, a rock.

However, I’m still not convinced of Ba and Cisse together.

Drawing away and winning at home will do me.

When you have to take off your best striker, your best midfielder, your defensive midfielder, and lose your captain and best defender, and still get a point at Anfield, it’s a good day.

Some say was the Intent – Colo should not have done what he did. But anyway our squad needs backup. In the defence area.

But we cant buy – Someone got to go before we can buy another better 1st team player in.

    Thats the policy.

If brendan Rogers felt Liverpool were outstanding, then I really feel sorry for Liverpool fans.
They were great, outstanding no. Wasted a lot of chances and we had several opportunities to win the game.

    Terrible showing today.

So many games this season the team just looks disjointed.

There is rarely any movement and our passing and ball retention is non existent for large parts of the game.

The only positive for this season is that although we haven’t got going in our performances we are still picking up points which is credit to the character of techs team and due to flashes of individual brilliance.

I can’t complain about the red today, colo went in rashly, true to pull out last minute so avoided heavy contact but still a totally needless challenge to make, just frustrated and lost his head.

next week we play West Ham and that is the game in which pardew should change the team or deserve some of the stick he gets because although he can’t change how the players perform on the pitch he can change the team and right now atleast two players should be dropped to bench
my team next sunday would be this
    _________krul______
    simmo_willo_saylor_santon/santon_willo_saylor_fergie
    _____anita___bigi____
    HBA__cabaye____sammy
    _________ba_________

Watching Cisse has been horrendous this season. He looked like a League One striker with the weight of last year’s performance and no.9 shirt on his back.

great point today. i say great because liverpool dominated. ( as usual when we play there ) however, my concern is we are going backwards. yeah we got an unusual point at anfield but lets be honest, football wise, outclassed. we couldnt get the ball at times coz we didnt know where it was. lets go back a week . WBA. in truth should have won, better side , when was the last time we were the better side? this season? i dont think we have been. we need to be stamping our authority on games, i dont think we can i dont think pardew thinks like that.

I agree colo goes to pull out at he last second but by then he has commuted and it’s too late.

The rules are simple, if their is intent it’ can still be a red if its a bad tackle. You see colo stamps with his leg, it’s lucky he did miss or else that could have been a broken leg or serious knee damage

    Where did ferguson play today.

He seemed to be a split between central and out wide left.

I presumed when he came on he would go left, sammy right then Ben arfa behind cisse.

We have players out of position all too often when there is no need to.

I know there were injuries today so that’s to be expected but in general this season we have had people playing all over.

The result is fine, that doesn’t concern me too much.

    It’s the performance.

2nd half we lost cabaye and Ba so that is understandable we would be under pressure and create less, I understand that.

The first half we should have been better though.

My concern is that there is always an excuse. Players tired from Europe, injuries, suspension, bad decisions etc.

How many games this season can you say we have played well? Not many.

I don’t want pardew out or wholesale changes I just think with the players we have usually there is no reason we can’t be dominating games with 60+% possession and scaring teams.
