Pardew – Graham Carr Tracking Top Player For Newcastle

9:53 am, Sunday, November 4th, 2012 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 17 Comments

Alan Pardew has revealed today that Newcastle are pursuing what could be another great signing for Newcastle, but of course the manager would not reveal the name of the player they are actively pursuing, and he could sign in the January transfer window.

Graham Carr – tracking a player who could be great at Newcastle

This is what Alan Pardew told the local Sunday Sun today:

“When Graham targets a player we usually have three or four choices of players Graham thinks could be great for us and then it gets whittled down to two after finance and then I make a call.” “And then I really am looking at the vision of what we’ve got.”

“We’re looking at a player now and looking into his background and character, because we feel he really could be the one for us. Patience is needed sometimes.” “We’ve got one at the moment, Vurnon Anita, a player with fantastic technical ability.

“But he’s found it a struggle so far with the pace of the Premier League, the same as Cabaye and Santon.” “So Vernon is one we’ve got to be patient with.” “We’ve paid a lot of money for him by our standards so it’s about constant patience, constantly working and hopefully at the same time getting results.”

First of all it’s obvious that Vurnon needs time to settle at Newcastle, and of course he and his partner have just had their first child, so he’ll need to settle down to a new way of life in any case, but we still think this lad will become a big player for the club.

We don’t know whether the player Alan is talking about is 23 year-old Toulouse’s central midfielder and French International Moussa Sissoko, who has already come out and said Newcastle play fantastic football, and that he is flattered by the reports that the Tyneside club are interested in the him.

From what we can tell it looks like Newcastle are in with an excellent chance of bringing Moussa  Sissoko to Newcastle in January, since his contract runs out at Toulouse next summer.

So we hope it’s another good player Graham Carr and Alan are actively pursuing, because two top players coming to Newcastle is better than just one. 😀

I think that’s our strongest team but of course tiote would b were perch is, it’s just the left wing needs sorted for me jonas is no longer a winger he’s useless there now, we have the players pardew jus needs to pick from sammi, obertan, fergie, marveux, amalfitano n my pick would b sammi although I wish marveux would get a chance there again

I would have thought Anita would play lb? Allow Santon to play rb, both would be playing on their stronger foot then. It will be interesting to see how we do set up today.

I think he got that the wrong way around. First we identify a player who is available for next to nowt, then we have a look at him…and finally Llambiarse advises Mashley that he’ll cost 500k too much. Dubuchy?

ive been saying this all last season and this season we should play a 4-3-1-2 formation
    krull
    anita, taylor, colo, santon
    perch, cabaye, jonas
    hba
    cisse, ba
    what do yous think?

Don’t believe it til I see it. Steptoe and son won’t stump up the required amount any way and pards doesn’t have enough bottle to ask

I really hope that Ba and Cisse can link up well together. They haven’t yet apart from the odd game. If they do they will be a lethal partnership. Maybe they are best replacing each other when one is doing badly but with quality like that we need them both on the pitch. If they could score in the same match regularly we could be giving young Adam Campbell more game time in the dying minutes of a match to really scare defenders with his pace and accelerate his development.
