Imo obertan looked good when passing but as soon as a cross or shot was he needed he didnt look good at all. There is still hope for him but he really needs to practice crossing.

Marveux looked sluggish imo. He had some good moves and set pieces but also some really bad passes though he hasnt played many games so understandable.

Shola imo still didnt look as good as people were saying. He had sum nice touches but for me, shola plays better with a partner to give it to (like sammy or cisse or ba) but cant say he was bad today, he looked average.

Colo didnt look his usual self and for some reason he seems to look really confused by a simple route 1 ball. I dont know why, he has lots of skills but 2times in 2 games he got confused by a ‘simple’ ball.

Krul looked bad first half but made some great saves in the second half.

Imo a draw was about right both teams had great chances, we probably had the best/easiest (marv’s miss) and the closest ( cabaye hit the bar)
Happy with a point, cud of had more but definatly cud of had less lol

I can’t vote on my iPod for some reason but I would have voted sammi

    Krul 6
    Anita 8
    Colo 6
    Willo 6
    Tav 7
    Bigi 7
    Tiote 7
    Obertan 7
    Marv 7
    Sammi 9
    Shola 7

    Cabs 5
    Taylor 6
Romain – not on long enough

We looked so assured going forward and everything through Anita bigi marv and sammi looked great. Then we made subs and looked poor. Cabs wasn’t there mentally tonight. Colo at fault for first and krul should have done better on the second albeit from a poor clearance.

Good game and we deserved a winner really.

Anita looked good again tonight thats 2 games in a row now!!

Pardew has got to sort out some of his tactics tho his playing guys on their wrong foot does not work Sammy looked lost trying to cut in and Tav is not a left back he is a right back!!!

The young lad looked so uncomfortable why does Pardew do this???And is Anita not a left back as well?

Still happy with a point as at 2 nil i feared the worst even though we were totally dominant for most of the game

Marveux has some nice touches and was putting in good corners but i think he is going to be too lightweight for the premier league

after the amount of negativity i saw from the likes of TB during the match i think i am better off stawing away from here during match unless a goal is maybe scored because most posts put on during the match not only by him but others too were just lame negativity it’s as if they expect top players to be good every game and think all young player can mimic the speed rooney did to becoming a top player even obatan.
there should only be two negativys from this game
    1. why ferguson didn’t start (i won’t class as negativy mind if he does start on sunday)
    2. tiote it seems will never learn to improve his disaplinary
and lets hope willo is fit for saturday.

Anita did not do much wrong tonight and was always accurate with his passing and a terrific goal, for me its an easy one, some other decent performances but they were a bit inconsistant including sammy who was wasteful second half but overall played ok as did shola.

Santon – Anita is right footed I think and tav looked very comfortable for most the game.

Sammi was playing more a free role tonight and played on both wings as well as through the middle. And was excellent.

Think Pards tactics were spot on and the two goals conceded were just sloppy.

toonking i am very positive about the way the club on a whole is progressing, i can tell you i very rarely agree with AP`S team selection though, get fergie more playing time he will only get better, i cant understand pardews thinking unless he starts fergie on sunday, obertan gave the ball away more times tonight than i have seen fergie give it away since he has been playing at the toon, obertan is one of the most frustrating in and out players i have seen!!!!

I don’t think he was that sloppy with possession tonight beefman. Thought he made great runs on and off the ball and did some lovely passes. Don’t really think gabby was frustrating at all tonight come to think of it.

I think the team selection was spot on. The amount of balls that were put into the box tonight for someone to get on the end of I don’t think fergie would have made a bit of difference.

Santon has said time and time again he much prefers lb and clearly Pards prefers him there. Why are fans so insistent on changing that?

fatman in the second half he was non exsistant to be fair, and did give the ball away a few times, maybe we saw it different.

If Newcastle can continue to bring on the kids (Sammy looks half way to something special) and manage to get one player in, in an area that needs strengthening, of the quality of Anita, at a decent price, each window, then I’d think we are very much on track. I’m hoping that goal will settle Anita down and we will start to get much more from him. Not fully up to the mark yet, but my MotM.

fatman, its all about opinions, i take yours on board about obertan, but i would have fergie in my team every time, he can create, can attack, and can defend, and the more he plays the better he will get.

Sammy gave the ball away too often. Also, he needs to work on his speed off the mark….he takes too long to get into his stride. If ferguson had been playing instead, we would have won. Simple. I’m sorry, but Sammy is over-rated.

Could that have been the laziest front line the toon have put out in recent years? Not one of the front players track back? Every time one of them lost the ball they stood looking as if to say ‘I give up’.
I believe if we had fergie, cisse, Guti on last night, we would have pi55ed that match. I’m sorry but sentiment is not a pre requisite in football and the ameobis should be left in reserve until they can be sold and replaced with better players of which there Are millions out there who will work for the team.
