  repost – everyone take a deep breath. Terrible performance, but that does not mean we have a terrible team or manager. The season is a marathon not a sprint, don’t give Pardew a hard time until he’s given a chance to rectify the situation next week…. if nothing happens in that game. Well then, lets grab our pitchforks

  Krul for stopping AC scoring. But MOM today was Diame by a country mile. Tiote was needed today. Spurs lost at home to wigan remember?

  None, they were all utter sh!te, even Krul was, with his long kicks that did f all. Pardew was the worst. I’m starting to doubt top 8 now. 442 at home, really? Pardew is a muppet, and will never ever lead us into top 4 unless we spend some f****g money, I’m not asking for loads, but the summer was a joke.

  Not from what I saw today. That was an awful match and very poor effort by pretty much everyone of our players.

  I refuse to vote for any of them, completely inept performance. The best performance came from the 50,000+ who had paid hard earned money to watch a load of crap.

  When did we last score direct from a corner? We should let the opposition take a goal kick because we have prob conceded more goals from breakaways on our corners. Can they do anything else except aim for Williamson? 50 grand a week to do that and play 4 4 2? Seems a bit much to me.

  Sooner tiote is propping midfield up the better,cabaye can then play his natural game and not be hampered with over cautiousness.debate cannot play forward thinking football so deep. Really poor game,roll on next weej

  Take your “hair shirt” off Catchy, there is no need to apologise for doubting Pardwho is the man to take this club forward.

  OK he won two awards last season but that was because he was in charge of a team with a collective glint in its eye.

  Pardwho has managed to poke that glint out this season just as he does at every club eventually. Is there any cure for (Pardwho’s) second season syndrome ?

  It seems like I can’t get in tocomment on the ” surprise defeat ” column. I went to my local and in pre-match discussions with the “usual suspects” it was clear I saw the the match as less clear cut than they did. It seemed obvious to me that a Big Sam side would obstruct , get in the way , break up play and take any kind of goal that came their way and that to win we wouldneed to keep the ball down , keep possession and continue to play the game properly , yet this is clearly what we haven’t done any time apart from some moments of the European games .This is a continuation of a trend that has gone on e since last season. Surprise defeat ? No not to me , just disappointing and a real sign of the need for better management from Ashley through to Pardew.

  It’s blase just to answer that with “Pardwho” joss but any manager worth his salary should be able to affect a game when its going badly for his side and even, occasionally, bringing them back into the game when going behind.

  Pardwho has none of that in his locker so dont expect top four, six or ten this season !

  Ben Arfa today again! If we started to play the ball on the deck more then he’s be able to rip open defences in the final third rather then having to take it from inside his own half and take on 4-5 men! Was like watching the toon when big Sam managed us. Don’t know why we seem to be going to a long ball side? Play through our midfield! At end of day that’s what served us well last season
