This Newcastle Teenager Could Start Tonight

19 year-old Gael Bigirimana joined the club from Coventry City in the summer for around £1M, and he has so far been a success on Tyneside for one so young, and he has already made 12 appearances for the Newcastle first team, and should make a lot more appearances before the season is over next May.

Gael Bigirimana – could start tonight against Maritimo

Gael has been a consistent performer in Europe this season and could get another start tonight at St. James’ Park against Maritimo, and the youngster says he’s loved his experience at Newcastle so far,  and the Burundi-born player had this to say in the local papers today:

“It’s a competition that offers young players great experience.” “I have never played in this competition before, but when I moved here I always hoped I would get the chance to play in it.” “It has been good for me, and for all the young lads.”

“It’s a great competition for experience and hopefully it will help in the rest of my career.” “I’m just grateful to get a chance to play in the team and be involved in this tournament.” “It’s made me hungry for more, but I just need to be patient sometimes because I’m still young and still have a lot of things to learn.”

“I’m enjoying my football and enjoying my experience here at Newcastle.” “As a player, you just want to go into every game and get the three points.” “When I watched the team last season, it looked as though they could go for ten games unbeaten.”These things happen in football.”

“It’s up to us as players to keep our heads up and make sure we get the next three points that are available to us.” “We hope we can win to make sure we are still playing in this competition next year. If we get the three points we go through and that will help create a different atmosphere in the squad.”

Bigi could line up alongside Vurnon Anita in Newcastle’s central midfield tonight, and either of the two can play in the attacking or defending central midfield position.

Cheick Tiote is suspended for the game and James Perch is out injured, and so Anita and Bigi could be in the starting line-up tonight, unless Alan Pardew wants to play the more experienced Jonas Gutierrez in central midfield tonight, which is where he started against West Ham, before having to leave the game with a knee injury.

Im not missing any point youve argued that other teams manage to compete in both comps right?
Well they havent looking at msn citys early exit and chelsea are good as gone
Bindippers and spuds are not garunteed either

Now youve changed your arguement to tactics rather than the personel?
Pards have never said the players are fatigued he’s said constantly that there struggling to get the training system correct perhaps additional coaches would help but thats ashleys call not pards
Not really sure what it is you want to see if we were knocked out of europe would you be happy as we could concentrate in the league?
Or would it be why did we try so hard for europe only to not go for it?
