Santon by a country mile, He’s one of our only consistently good performers this season.

  • 3 Szarka // Nov 22, 2012 at 9:59 PM

Nobody deserve it. What was this last 15 minute? They just didnt wanted to win, played for the draw only. Im just frustrated about the end, they just didnt gone for the win :/

  • 4 JTOONJ // Nov 22, 2012 at 9:59 PM

Are you Roman Abromviches son or something, few bad results and you want him gone? half of the team are injured aswell as bright youngsters such as vuckic. he is obviously learning about the europa league however we are just about through are we not? A bit of league form and we can easily stabilise in the top 8. just need to win a game to get confidence.

That was painful to watch. Midfield was shocking and strikers no better. Cant see any improvement soon either with this squad.

  • 7 Magpies-till-d3ath // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:00 PM

    Awful again!

    flick a coin
    santon or colo,
my coin landed on colo, and thats being unfair on santon, who was on par with colo,,

would like you to add a poll to ask if pardew is getting his tacticks right,, not many can say yes

  • 11 Jonny // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:02 PM

Colo, Santon, Marveaux, Anita, Simpson. In that order.

  • 12 catchy in norway // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:02 PM

    keep dreaming

  • 13 t00ntime // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:03 PM

So yeah 20games later still havent fixed anything. We all hoped during the friendlies that match fitness was the problem but apparantly it wasnt… Another awful performance probably deserved to lose. Call me negative if u want but 3 easy home games 0wins and never looked like winning, thats relegation form… If we dont change it soon we will be in a relegation fight. Only 5points above bottom 3 with very tough games coming up in december. I know i’m sounding negative but after that performance i cant be anyway, it doesnt look like pardew has even tried to fix anything and i can promise u he will have another excuse for now and for the weekend…. He has to stop blaming others andd sort it out

  • 14 jeff // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:03 PM

i thought we linked up pretty well and maritimo came 5th in the portugese league so i mean theyre a classy outfit

abeid grafted hard, he lost the ball the least out of everyone on the team and always chased it down if he did – hes a right player

ben arfa was great, idk why pardew took him off so early though lol

santon and colo and anita were good too

simmo played well, hes been working on his dribbling

  • 15 Ruddy Marveaux-lous // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:03 PM

Ugh seriously life has more important worries than to be tearing our hair out after a draw. It’s not great at the minute but think of it this way, it can only get better :D

    Adios ladies!

  • 16 stuart no9 // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:04 PM

jtoon @ 4 are you pards son or what – excuses – excuses – exuses I,ll give you 1 excuse – pardew hes f///king shite man .

  • 17 NUFC STEVE // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:04 PM

    NO BEN ARFA????

  • 18 Ruddy Marveaux-lous // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:04 PM

Don’t engage with 5unde1and…he’s clearly bored.

  • 19 JAMSHA // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:04 PM

so we are in.the last 32

  • 20 catchy in norway // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:05 PM

both them hit the nail on the head,,

just sit back on a 1-0 lead,, most of our games he does the same,, that is why he isnt good enough

  • 21 Toon1978 // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:05 PM

Ya kidding…hahahahahaha how can you vote for the best player? There wasn’t any. N.Sheilds play better Football then NUFC lol.

  • 22 jeff // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:07 PM

to answer the question in the title

abeid was, we looked a different team when he came on

  • 23 Toon1978 // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:07 PM

Maritimo where the better team. We couldn’t even pass the ball more then 3-4 times before losing it. WTF is Pardew doing in training?

  • 24 JTOONJ // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:07 PM

we’ve an awesome squad when fit so when cabaye and tiote are pulling strings again expect us to kick on.

  • 25 Jonny // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:07 PM

Does Krul have to take every goal kick within our half? It just slows the game down and we rarely win the header!!

  • 26 darrenfletcher88 // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:07 PM

Booed off!! Bigi crap, sammy crap,Anita crap!! There young but so is Powell from Man U!!! Not good enough!! Puts pardew under pressure for Sunday big pressure the boos start pressure mounts, fans decide if he stays or goes!!!

  • 27 FatmanJoe // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:08 PM

Everyone was raving about formation and players picked beforehand. They don’t perform. Why is that Pards fault? The buck has to stop with players at some point.

  • 28 stuart no9 // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:08 PM

jeff @ 14 ” their a classy outfit HA ha ha , sorrt mate i had to read that twice HA HA

  • 29 MagpiesFlyHigh // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:08 PM

Aye Catchy got to keep the manager on his toes.
Why don’t we just give him, say a 250 day contract, and then trade him in.
Maybe its because we haven’t spent almost £900m on the players so can’t blame the manager quite as easily.

Maybe we don’t have quite the quality we thought, when they’re off form ?

We lost Benny and Cisse tonight possibly to serious injuries and we are running out of cover faster than we have run out of ideas.

We put out the side most guys wanted tonight in the formation most guys wanted so quit bitching about the manager and start worrying about how we are going to survive till we get our purples back…

  • 30 catchy in norway // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:10 PM

you my freind are 100% right,, we do have a good squad,

now look at the manager and ask why we can not pass a ball,

why we sit on 1-0 leads,

why we play very defensive even against team you should be putting 3 past them at home,,

he should be sacked now, and replaced before we get to jan, he proved to mee tonight that he is pig headed and does not learn from miastakes

  • 31 JTOONJ // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:10 PM

nope im just not fickle and believe in the system we currently have in place which is stability and not change manager every time we lose 2 games in a row. Remind me how many years it took SAF to get stability. even man city are keeping mancini after coming out of CL

  • 32 Peter Beardsley // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:10 PM

    Rubin Kazan 3 – 0 Inter Milan

    Not all that bad lads!!!

  • 33 Ketsbaia9 // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:10 PM

Abeid would’ve been man of the match if he would’ve started the game. Marveaux did well. Santon played as well as usual.

  • 34 Baro // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:11 PM

Man what the hell was that?? That was one of the worst performances ever….. Pure sh!t performance!…. honestly we need something to change… just something.. I really wished we had Steve Clarke as manager who is now at West Brom and flying high in the table… Or Harry Redknapp…. somebody that knows how to play the game the right away…like seriously when was the last time we scored a set piece? Our corners and set plays free kicks just always the same… Target willo or tayls and hope they head the ball back into the box, which never works… our corners are pure sh!t…
I just want a change, whatever the hell it has to be, even 3 at the back just something…

  • 35 JTOONJ // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:12 PM

do you realise we don’t have a fully fit squad? a midfielder who has jumped from league 1 level to prem league

  • 36 North Atlantic Magpie // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:12 PM

It’s a major problem that Pardew uses one formation for EL and another formation for PL.

  • 37 Toon1978 // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:12 PM

All faults lie with them at the top. Lack of investment, 10 players out…..well done Ashley……greedy c..t. There’s being sensible then there is being greedy. Now the club is suffering form what ws not sorted in the summer. 99% of supporters seen the writing on the wall 4 months ago, the club did not…..shocking!!!

  • 38 stuart no9 // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:14 PM

fatman joe @ 27 the blame lies with the manager . always has , always will. what do you do ? sack the players and keep the manager???? taxi for pards!

  • 39 NUFC STEVE // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:15 PM

Just to check lads was that boos at the final whistle???

  • 40 woolerbill // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:17 PM

Don’t panick, Pardew will have some good in draw, it’s all he can say.

  • 41 FatmanJoe // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:17 PM

Stuart I’m not suggesting sacking anybody. I just think our lads are in a slump and need a comfortable win to get them back on track. Don’t get me wrong; I’m shocked and a bit appalled at our performances this season and quickly losing my optimistic feeling for a good season. I just that sacking a manager frequently never works. Well it hasn’t for us historically anyway.

  • 42 Offkey // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:19 PM

Whilst I agree the game was poor, I thought there were a few positives including Marveaux trying to get Cisse in behind with early balls. I think Pards trained for that this week and then when he went off we returned to plan B (usual performances recently).

  • 43 stuart no9 // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:20 PM

jtoon @ 31 are really happy with that performence , or the 1 before that , or the 1 before that , or the 1 before that. i could go on to the start of the season, but i think youve got the point

  • 44 nezzatoonmad // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:22 PM

once again i predicted right, 433 never works same goes 442, and once again i ask why didnt we play a 4312 like we should off at the start of this season and last season, once again pardew failed the fans first half we looked good second we were a total waste MARATIMO should off won tonight hats off to them in the second half they really threatened us, now its time for pardew to pack his bags and go back south.

  • 45 davis_toons // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:35 PM

AP was so far for technically abilities.

Did the team train passing, movement and 1-2 passes?
Matin Jol should be the man that gets the 8 year contract. TBH.

  • 46 hazzy // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:37 PM

thought we did well till hba came off/ba came on. not sure why anyone would praise Abeid… he touched the ball 4 times and gave it away 3. class act that like haha.
amalfitano was anonymous despite trying hard when he came on, cisse showed good touches till his injury and marveaux, sammi and hba looked like they could build a strong attacking trio with time on the pitch…. Typical Pardew after the break.. woooo boys well done were 1-0 up park the bus and aim for the biggest striker something will happen pretty laughable to be honest
He’s not all that after all is he

  • 47 davis_toons // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:37 PM

Martin Jol..too bad AP was cheaper or did he Speaks better during the Interview?

  • 48 nezzatoonmad // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:38 PM

hey guys ive found a great way not to get beat its a pardews special tactic

plus 10 players in defence lol

  • 49 davis_toons // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:38 PM

marveaux, sammi and hba looked like they could build a strong attacking trio
    ..Not forgetting Santon.

  • 50 davis_toons // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:39 PM

Yes i think we played well when score a goal and later in the game we defence hard just like last season.

  • 51 davis_toons // Nov 22, 2012 at 10:41 PM

Last season we are so hard to beat. If this is the way to play for win then we got to play this way. HARD to Beat is the way!
