Let us know who you think Newcastle’s best player was at the Britannia Stadium, which was Newcastle’s 4th straight loss in the league, after we had gone ahead with a Papiss Cisse goal, but two goals in the last 10 minutes by Stoke gave them the win.

Here’s an idea Ed. When we lose don’t ask this question. btw, major overhaul needed… Where’s the next point coming from?

Darren – I’m devastated at the result. I know how serious this situation is. I can also have an opinion though, and in my opinion given the circumstances that was one of the best performances this season. The result doesn’t reflect that and that p1sses me off.
I can only have hope that we play like that against Wigan and get 3 points.

Willo- Worst 6 foot 3 header of the ball I have ever seen and turns like a ship

Simpson – Cares more about sha**ing birds than NUFC

So disapointing. Predicted we’d lose before the game but after leading till the final ten, it really is just frustrating.

i’m sorry man, but if you think we didn’t play badly you are more looking for pardew to prove himself a good manager than anything else

most of your posts, considering you are ardent pro-pardew, are pretty balanced, but it was another sh** showing and now, after four STRAIGHT defeats, you can’t even admit it

i’m fed up. i really don’t know what else to say. awful stuff

Suggesting that Graham Carr, John Carver, Andy Woodman and Alex McLeish replace Pardew genuinely shows an absolutely astounding lack of knowledge.

Our backroom staff are to blame for our style of football as well. Pardew is, of course. But if Carver, Stone etc were any different then it would not be this bad.

Definitely between Anita or Santon, but I lean more towards Anita since he did all he could against stoke’s front line at the top of the 3rd.

Santon was hesitant at times and blew a couple golden chances for a cross.

even armchair fans like me could see the folly in letting guthrie go. last time cabaye was out injured we coped well because of guthrie but pardumb in his infinite wisdom thought cabaye would never again get injured and decided to let a perfectly capable replacement go for nothing. like i said there’s dumb and there’s pardumn

I really wish we’d gone in for Bryan Ruiz before Fulham did. His creativity etc would’ve been a massive outlet for us. I know we missed out but think what could’ve been… Imagine him, Ben Arfa & Cabaye in the same side. DENCHTASTIC!

Jonas had 1 good moment, when he stole the ball away in the 81st minute.

Besides that he was spectacularly poor like he has been for the last few months. Really is becoming a liability now.

I know people want Pardew’s head, but surely at this point that would do more harm? We don’t exactly have a healthy squad you know!

Matty, it was a decent performance. A lot more goal scoring opportunities than previous games where we never had any authority on the game. Stupid passes still cost us the game however.

42% possession against Stoke. Does anyone remember AP’s soundbite “Control the midfield you control the game”…..seems distant and at best theoretical cos’ we have not done that this season. This is our worst form since 2008 when we went down. If we loose at home to Wigan then I have to say I cannot continue to blindly put my faith in AP. Don’t wanna hear excuses about EL or injuries we knew all this, and we failed to get players across the line. What a SH*TE state of affairs!

and conaldo, not trying to have a go but there were so many things he could have done either before the match, at half time or after we got an underserved lead to change things up

this guy is f****g clueless. what’s his solution? make one substitution and shout at Webb that it’s four minutes extra time, not five

dunno who i’d want, much less who would come, but i can tell you honestly i don’t know how much more of this s*** i can take

and i think it says something. the indubitable man of the match (anita) is being asked to play in a position he’s never played before and frankly doesn’t know how to play effectively. we’ve got marveaux, abeaid and amalfitano waiting in the wings who all play an ACM role and he chose to pick a defender who only within the past 9 months was converted to a holding CM

it’s clear to me now, Alan Pardew has lost the plot, if he ever had it

I wish I had enough faith to think that we’ll play a completely fresh lineup at the weekend, but we all know we wont.

Pardew even has an excuse to drop Cisse or Ba now after 3 games in 7 days, but no doubt they’ll both start.

Bizzarely, the only times Ba and Cisse linked up particularly well were when they both dropped deep – leaving us with no one anywhere near the Stoke goal.

a decent team with a decent manager doesnt throw games away with 10 minutes to go,weCANT defend so why does pardew insist on trying to defend a 1 goal lead ,its nonsense ,we gave this guy an 8 year deal, he did well with chris hughtons team, but for me ,although he has been shit on by the fat one by not strengthening ,his tactics leave a lot to be desired,

i must have watched a different game,,

first half we hardly attacked, they had the better chances

second half, very scrappy, got the goal and sat on it again

he only made subs when they went 2-1,, what was wrong with 1-1??
he thought he could see it out and be happy with a point ,,
    his speach was wrote,,

there a good side,,not many teams will come here and get a point,,
im proud of my boys,, they gave it there all

    stand out performers

    anaita,, by a country mile
    then tiote

why marv did not get on is beyond me,

how jonas stayed on is beyond me,, he falls over a lot now
to be fair to jonas,, pardew said we are gona play with 12 men tonight,, jonas your 2 of them,, i could not tell where he was ment to be

the team has no direction, none at all

do you know whow stupid you sound when you come on half way through the match and stat spouting off to me and matty,, it was as if we had won 6-0,, you idiot

well 2 point of the relegation zone

we better hold onto pardew,,, manager of the season last year

You guys think its so easy

Spending money will not guarentee safety, quality and/or better footall

The root of the problem is tactical

You can say all you want regarding how we looked better tonight but ultimatley we couldnt have played any worse tha the 3 prevous games

did we deserve to loose tonight? No

did we deserve to win? No

The only way out of this is to boost morale in the dresing room and get the team playing football. You win by scoring not by buying.

    The end i nigh

Spuggy, you got it spot on, on the last thread. 4-3-3 with Cisse in the middle and Ba wide left was working, we should go back to that system. Ba isn’t exactly smashing goals in left, right and center, so when Ben Arfa is fit, that needs to be the system we play. So what if Ba isn’t happy with it, we were winning playing that system last season, it’s worth a try at least!

    What a load of ballsacks.

Jonas spent the game either trying to win throws in his own hald of turning his back to his challenger to shield the ball and go down like a sack of dookie.

We start alright pass it around a bit then did the usual and resort to hopeful balls to Ba.

When will the players and coaches realise we look more comfortable passing the ball not booting it up the field.

Cisse wants to play with people that can work the ball into dangerous areas through smart passing. Thats why he always looks better out on the wing. If played up front alone or with a different type of striker or a true number 10 then he would be much more effective.

Colo let Jerome in for the second. He is more at fault that Willo.

Anita despite the flack he gets from some on here and despite being easy to bully of the ball at times could have been creative if he wasnt bypassed all the time. At least he likes to push up.

WHERE IS THE LINK UP BETWEEN MIDFIELD AND WELL EVERYONE ELSE ON THE FIELD.

I tell you I dont know how much more of this I can take seeing. I kind of hope Ba or Cisse goes just so we will get a different type of player in. im almost inclined to wish Ranger would play each week despite his problems and complete unproven in any league status.

    We need:

A new CB, A new RB, Simmo to sign a new deal, a proper left winger, an actual CAM/Number 10 and a different type of striker.

We also need Nolan and Barton back. At least Barton’s delivery was excellent and Nolan got in the box.

The only consistent player we have had this season is Santon.

even my grandmother could see that though he wasnt getting many goals leon best was a better partner for either of the two dembas. Noone including shola was more adept at recieving the ball with his back to goal than best. biut sir pardew in his infinite wisdom thought it sensible to sell best for peanuts and force cisse and ba to magically strike up a successful partnership. like i said there’s dumb and there’s pardumb
