An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

Don’t be so presumptuous thinking I’d allow you to nail me, you haven’t even asked me on a date yet.

You mean Jiz would have been nailed to the nearest fence, spot the difference 😉

But for 5 mins in the first half and 10 mins in the second half Wigan barely had the ball in our half, let alone trouble our goal so if some people are getting carried away I think it may be you with your negativity.
We won 3-0, if we had scored 4 you would have asked why we didn’t score 5, the same if we scored 5 you’d have asked we didn’t score 6. What’s your problem? We rode the game out and dominated them, 10 men or not that was a very good performance.

Comment #123kets, I like to give a fair account of both sets of players after the game but what you do is you exaggerate the performances of opposition players to make the players on our team that you dislike seem poorer than they were.
you’re a broken record maaaaaaaaaaan!
My thoughts:

(close with the 2-0 prediction tads, glad it turned out to be easier than it could well have been)
I’m savouring this victory though, very happy!

We did go out in the second half and get mire goals bigi’s screamer?
We, an extremly out of form team have just beaten a team who are arguably in the best form they have ever been in and have got points from spuds arsenal and city, and nit just beaten them but beaten them well we completly limited them and if cisse was on the same form as ba we would of won that by 4 or 5

Comment #126Well back at hotel after drinks celerbrating a Newcastle win … Long 5/6 hour trip home but all worth while ! Thought Anita was immense and previously said he would Marv was excellent when in possesion wish we had gone for it a bit more with Wigan down to 10 men Guti should have made way for Sammy earlier ! Simpson was solid defensively but definitely lacks any attacking threat !

Comment #127I also think a lot of people are fooled by Jonas because he runs around a lot. His distrbution off the ball is terrible at times & slows down are attacks a lot. I dont think we can play the passing game, with the likes of Jonas, Willo, Simmo etc in the team. But a very nice 3 points. 🙂

yeah, without a doubt pards ‘closed down shop’
no one can deny before their CH got sent off they looked the more dangerous. as some who doesn’t believe in pards tactics i’m inclined to say it would have been a different match 11 v 11 but hey, it is what it is. we got the three points we needed
am i more inclined to prove myself right over pards or would i rather keep this current crop of players here, an indubitably better team than we’ve had in the last decade, under any circumstance? you’re damn right i’d rather have this team we have and hope pards can fix it on his own. this squad we have is amazing. it wasn’t beautiful tonight, it wasn’t even close to showcase, but i’ll take it. we need wins but without them we stand a fair chance of shipping out a lot of our ‘purples’ (ie ba, HBA, cabaye, marvs, santon) within the next two windows
it may be subtle. it may not be what many of us want or expect, but it’s enough. big picture here, folks. we can talk all we want about how good our team is, how sh*t pards is, but it doesnt make any difference if our top, top players want out. this proves a bandaid on a gaping wound that can very much be healed over the next few matches

Comment #131Great result tonight, but please was anybody that is waxing lyrical about the performance tonight at the game,we were hardly convincing a d the quiet crowd exempified that, hopefully a win should give them enough confidence to start believing in themselves which I think so far has been lacking.

Comment #135Wigan weren’t as comfortable coming out from the back cos the had 10 f*****g men or did we forget. If it was us down to 10 Wigan would have passed the balls off us and had up on 70% poss. Not a meagerly 55%!!!

Regarding your dopey comment about martinez sub. Did u watch the second half? The sub was perfect they were the better team in the second half and our goal was against the run of play

We were only comfortable after the sending off and penalty,Krul pulled off an amazing save that got the crowd jittery, and ccorrect me if Important wrong but there was only 43 000 there tonight which in my belief would have been nearer 50 000 if we had have spent some money in the summer.

Comment #137Martinez sub was perfect- they were better team in second half. If we were down to 10 we would have been passed off the pitch!!! Wigan would have had 70-80% poss not 55%!!!????

Comment #141I reackon if we let Ba and Simmo go for around 8m and get Remy and Debuchy/Peiters or any other quality FB in jan for around 15m i think that would be good business…

What id give for this to happen!
Good victory today and i think we played a lot better.
Would like to see this on a consistant basis and playing higher up the pitch because thats where we are at our best!

Comment #142Ba going wouldnt be a disaster, it would be a stepping stone and to me it seems like the best time to leave so Cisse can take over as a lone striker and Remy in the preffered LW with bags of pace and creativity. Cisse would get so many oppotunities to score we would be banging them in!
Oh and Simmo has done a good job for us but wr need someone to over lap Remy and help him out down the wing. Dont get me wrong i like Simmo and think hes a great defender but hes not the best man up that wing.

Comment #143We lose – its Simpsons fault.
We win – we’re lucky we won because Simpson was shit.
My god some people on here p*ss me off! Grow a pair of eyes will you? He’s a decent full back, may not be amazing but he is decent.
