  • 5 dmac // Dec 6, 2012 at 7:57 PM

Given mine to Elliot. Cant bring myself to say anything other than disgraceful. They will rue tonight when we draw inter milan or someone seeded.

  • 6 manxpie // Dec 6, 2012 at 7:57 PM

jesus it was our reserve team what did you’s really expect!?

  • 7 BelfastMagpie // Dec 6, 2012 at 7:57 PM

The best of a bad bunch.

  • 8 Zero // Dec 6, 2012 at 7:58 PM

elliot was the only one to increase his stock value today with ranger showing if he behaves he will give us an option to put upside with ba or cisse

    Easier to tell the worst.

  • 10 Jail for Ashley // Dec 6, 2012 at 7:59 PM

No excuses now,a full week on the training pitch till March and a chance to strengthen in three weeks time.

  • 12 manxpie // Dec 6, 2012 at 7:59 PM

didnt watch the first half, because i couldnt 🙁

by all accounts elliote was quite busy,

secnod half i watched ,, and that was poor,, i dont care what any of you think about our squad, poor teams can be made to look good by good organisation, we had no system,, and i believe we have some good players,, better than that showing tonight

i did not understand the subs at all, did he want to win the game ? he had lost the game, why risk bringing on colo and anita, 2 defensive minded players

shola is a waste of time,, he is lazy, needs the ball at his feet, wont run for it

    pardew is clueless

Either Ranger or Abeid. It’s a difficult one. Williamson once again cost us the game.

  • 17 dmac // Dec 6, 2012 at 8:02 PM

I mentioned the same thing about our set plays. They are probably the most pathetic in any league. It is something like 270 corners since we last scored…. Who is the coach doing set piece training? He needs removing.

  • 18 jimmysmith // Dec 6, 2012 at 8:02 PM

Ashley didn’t provides Pards with the squad to defend fifth in the Premier League much less also do well in Europe.

But, and thanks for reminding me Catchy, it’s all part of the 5 year plan. Super!

  • 21 manxpie // Dec 6, 2012 at 8:05 PM

catchy make sure ya take them anti-depressants before bed time!
toonking what are you basing that on? just wondering if its entertainment value, toughness of league or superioroty of teams?

    dmac well said

Keeping the first team members for the Fulham game was certainly a correct move. Even though we had qualified for the next round -I was looking forward to the game -to see how the “second string” played, specifically -Marveaux /Abeid/Ranger. I assumed they would want to impress even though nothing was a stake. Turned out to be a poor game and the realisation that some/most of our second string players are really not very good/nowhere near Premiership quality. Ranger made one or two good runs and that was about it. Young Fergie is definitely not a fullback -no way in a month of Sundays.
Colo’s substitution was the longest in history -from the time he was told he was on and then having to warm up to eventually coming on was an eternity -by which time they had scored a second. A very poor display.
My optimism from the Wigan game has now evapourated

  • 24 toonarmydownsouth // Dec 6, 2012 at 8:09 PM

would love us to draw a top top team thats what europe is all about
Fcuk playing all the teams no ones ever heard of bring on the milans madrids and ajax’s of the comp

  • 25 abmunro // Dec 6, 2012 at 8:13 PM

Complete contempt shown for our travelling support.

If those players are Newcastles future. Then I’m worried.

  • 26 RONNIE147 // Dec 6, 2012 at 8:25 PM

We may have been playing our reserve side but why can’t pardew grow some and at least try n win the game. The bloke is clueless 2-0 down and brings on collo GENIUS!

  • 27 Ian Toon // Dec 6, 2012 at 8:32 PM

Catchy- See your still suffering with the norovirus.

  • 28 Ian Toon // Dec 6, 2012 at 8:33 PM

jimmy- Are you aligning yourself with Catchy?

  • 29 ash1001 // Dec 6, 2012 at 8:43 PM

Its now 210 since we last scored from a corner, when we get a corner the other team end up attacking. When oh when is AP going to get wise and realise that Shola is past it, and Sammi is not going to make it, we are living in dreamworld if we think any other, neither managed 90 minutes again. As for the other hopefuls, well do not think any apart from possibly Ranger increased therir standing, at least Ranger tried, and had to do the full shift on his first game for ages.

  • 30 Ian Toon // Dec 6, 2012 at 8:45 PM

Kets- Abeid has definitely got something. Looks like he could be a proper player. He didn’t have a particularly good game but he is one to watch. Though with and not instead of Cabaye. He should go out on loan .

  • 31 jimmysmith // Dec 7, 2012 at 12:54 AM

Actually no, not because I don’t at times sympathise a little with his present somewhat dystopian view, but because I suspect Catchy may well be a bot posting variations on a theme 8 times per 24 hr cycle.

  • 32 hazzy // Dec 7, 2012 at 8:15 AM

Not sure what gane kets was watching again. If a central defensive midfielder was barely involved in a game and we look like conceding at every counter attack then they couldn’t really be playing any worse he put in two tackles and passed backwards everytime he had the ball which was maybe a dozen times in the game. That is utterly abysmal. Apart from that he did well
