Newcastle Defender Wants Move To London?

There are reports in today’s Sunday papers that Danny Simpson would like to move to London to play his football, so he can be closer to his new girlfriend – X Factor judge Tulisa.

Danny Simpson – reports he wants to move to a London club

If we are honest we have no idea what Danny wants to do, because whenever he’s interviewed by the Newcastle press he always says he wants to stay on Tyneside, but his actions don’t suggest that,  and he’s refused to sign a new contract at Newcastle for 18 months now.

And we could see Danny boy leave in January,  if a club comes in with an offer of around £2M, which Newcastle would probably take rather than losing him for nothing in the summer.

Danny’s private life seems to be in a bit of a mess at the moment, with his former girlfriend Stephanie Ward, 25, who had a baby girl Skye by Danny 18 months ago, has said she is again pregnant with his baby.

It seems that three London clubs – Fulham, QPR and Reading – may be interested in the former Manchester United defender, so if one of those three come in with a £2M bid in January we could see Simpson leave for London.

Danny has so far played 126 times for Newcastle with two goals, and to be fair to the lad,  he’s never let his off field activities affect his form on the pitch  for the Magpies.

And Martin Jol will get a chance of seeing how good Danny is tomorrow night at Craven Cottage when we go down to play Fulham, and hopefully can come away with all 3 points.

Danny is probably not at the level we require if we plan on being a top 6 club. However make no mistake the lad has been great and committed to NUFC in my opinion, won’t be forgotten if he had to leave. Especially how vital he was last season…

Simpson seems to be doing most of his thinking at the moment with his dick. Does that make him a dickhead?

If he stays, he stays; if he goes, No doubt Mr Carr has noted that there are much better players available. I cant see a problem either way.

It’s only paper talk so not sure if its true or not. But from a none football point of view, how can anyone who’s got a little baby and another one on the way, want to move to London.

He’s throwing away missing his kids grow up, all for the sake of a little chava tramp who won’t even be on the tv next year.

Can’t see him leaving in January as which club is in such a hurry to pay for services they can get for free in the summer, which if that’s the case we won’t be getting a new full back this window.

I don’t think that Mr Carr’s talent is in doubt but I think the whole scouting network has serious flaws, evident in the lack of targets last summer.

I’m sure we could get an ”upgrade” someone like Corchia or play Santon Rb and get a LB.

Massive priority is a CB as clearly Willo is not fit for purpose and Saylor will never play a full season.
Alderwield or M’Biwa would fit the bill. Both would take us to another level as M’Biwa can play RB as well
and they are both ball players who can bring the ball out.

Not convinced Ba going would be that disastrous, just play Cisse as 1 main central striker in a 433 or 4231.

I might sound like a broken record, but I honestly don’t care about what Simmo does – he is a grown man and I expect the board to take care of business in January.

    …the same with Ba!

Simpson leaves. Then we bring in 2. I’m fine with that.

Simmo has been farting around refusing to sign for what he’s been offered since before he had whiskers. This story is just tabloid stuff. However, it seems far more likely to be that he values himself higher than the club do. I’ve no problem with that. If a compromise cant be accommodated than he’ll have to go. I think we might just miss his consistency but we’ll see. Good luck, Danny.

Simmo out, Remy and Debuchy in. Also think we should get rid of Willo and sign Alderewerield and Sissokho.

Actually you say to be fair, while being anything but.
Leave the gut alone, NUFC have had their pound of flesh from the guy and just dont want to pay him.
As for his personal life, none of your business, again mostly speculation on your part.
This blog is becoming a blog version of the tabloids, what next, pictures of wags and gossip ?

He,s been a good player for us and no more no less. I think his opinion of himself is higher than his market value. Also the lifestyle thing could well be snapping . Thanks and goodbye but lets replace with better ….not too hard…..someone with better attacking prowess would be a bonus.

I just almost fell off my chair laughing at your comment !

Its comments like that make coming on here worthwhile!

As for Simpson, wel he,s been pissing around with contract talks for almost a year now ! Let him leave, an eventual replacement hopefully will be a better player and have a more decent private life. Will need to find someone else to make all the goal-line clearances. QPR ,Fulham or West Ham will be ideal for him !
