People saying class performance good performance etc where do you think we should be finishing in the league? If your happy with 15th then a 2 1 loss away to fulham is a good showing. Expected about 8th at start of season and to do that you can’t be happy with loss or any performance this season.

First thing a new manager would do with this NEWCASTLE side would be to …..

Drop Guitti… Guitti just needs a rest and a change of posistion when he comes back.

Bring Marvo in from the start ..Replace Williamson ….Get rid of SHOLA AMEOBI

And only play Sammy for the last 10 mins of games if we are winning 3-0 this to see if he Grow’s because he is no more a prem league footballer than my Jack Russell.

Who else can I drop ..? who’s a contender ? Simpson ‘s Heart is not really in it ..He seems to be protecting himself from any hard tackle or effort. He is scared to pick up an injury that might ruin his big payday free transfer ,,He does give about 75% in a game but when He has to get really stuck in he’s more of a watcher..keeps clear of any possible hard stuff like a tackle or two .

Shola Is a joke of a footballer really ..and we should have started with Marvo,

We played ok ..but where is the Leader on the pitch ?

Bring back Chris Hughton. A good man and a good manager.

I’m not one of the Pardew out brigade. He is hamstrung by a poor squad. The players he has brought in have generally been good.
The lack of investment in the Summer is killing us. As I have said before I think we’re weaker than last season up front and have not improved our defence. Not sure if it is Pardew’s fault.

  • 8 toonking // Dec 10, 2012 at 10:18 PM

having only one player creating chances and 2 total goal scorers makes it easy for teams to attack all they have to do is mark HBA while the rest go forward and that way ba and cisse don’t have chances as HBA is crowded

what i just heard there was

we have hatem,, man c should be worried

  • 10 Big Pappa Cissé // Dec 10, 2012 at 10:18 PM

I know we have injury problems but other than Cabaye and maybe Taylor, that was our full strength side out there and we could not even manage a draw

  • 11 Rotonda heights // Dec 10, 2012 at 10:18 PM

What has moaning at pardew’s ineptness got to do with not supporting the team. As TDS said where’s the motivation to improve if you accept mediocrity.

We may be a laughing stock but that’s because we’ve had some very poor managers who should never have been here in the fist place.

Dannyo you may have to think about saying we will never be bottom 3

    Thank god for Benny.

I think without his individual brilliance and a huge amount of luck last season this would have happened a lot sooner.

Every team has found us out, banning open training sessions is a joke because Pardew only has one tactic.
    he’s never going to be a Mourinho with a plan A, B and C.

Believe if he stays there is a very good chance we ‘re gone. Just ask West Ham and Charlton fans

Do you remember the score last yr at the Cottage and our dismal second half display?

Or did you just start supporting us because we finished 5th?

I think we’ll finish top eight and with extra games of Euro League and that will be a good season.

    Ruddy
Couldnt disagree more in the last 2 games ba has tried to play cisse through numerous times and 95% whats happened? cisse is offside again and again and again he’s probably thinking fcuk that i might as well have a pop cos he’s a mile off again and im sorry but you cant blame him for that
Ba has been linking well with bearly everyone but cisse is gradually getting there but he’s having to get used being asked to do a job just like ba did last year so why does that make ba selfish?
If cisse was the man in the centre we’d be iffside everytime the ball got played to him that lad has got alot of work to do

    am i missing somthing

  • 15 Carlo.man // Dec 10, 2012 at 10:19 PM

need to stop playing strikers on the wing having more strikers isnt going to make more chances and playing a 4-3-3 with 3 target men as the front 3 is so stupid

  • 16 Jonny // Dec 10, 2012 at 10:20 PM

We need ENGLISH players in our team, simple. Coloccini is not a leader and nor is Jonas! We need more Steven Taylors that will die for the club. Starting to miss Nolan and Barton’s passion!!!!

  • 17 Nufc-83 // Dec 10, 2012 at 10:20 PM

I liked all the players pardew has brought in and he was done over by the board in the summer and that’s why i have always said give him time. Tbh though we are playing terrible football and he seems clueless with team selection/tactics and subs. Certainly on the brink with me

Ruddy. I think many fans are quick to forget it was ba who played in cisse last week for the penalty and it was ba who played in cisse tonight for cisse to unleash a shot at the bar/post but be ruled offside anyway. The link up play is getting better but the aimless giving away of possession and lack of movement is killing up. We hoof it long and give it away, rubbihs set pieces that we do not win give the ball away, cisse being offside gives the ball away, jonas looking for freekicks often gives the ball away, cheicks wayward passing is giving the ball away.

  • 22 Ruddy Marveaux-lous // Dec 10, 2012 at 10:24 PM

    Tads

I replied in the previous thread about how much I disagree with you, but each to their own in terms of their opinions of particular players.

  • 23 nick_9 // Dec 10, 2012 at 10:24 PM

rotonda williamson and simpson are not leaders, nolan and barton were. That is the type of english players he wants, proud english players who fight and do not drop easily/

  • 24 Toon1978 // Dec 10, 2012 at 10:25 PM

    JONAS………OOOOHHHHH DEAR!!!!!!!

  • 25 Eddie // Dec 10, 2012 at 10:25 PM

Ruddy – a player’s selfishness needs to be addressed by the manager. Just like Tiote’s absurd dawdling 30 yards from his own goal.

  • 26 Ruddy Marveaux-lous // Dec 10, 2012 at 10:26 PM

    Nick9

Giving the ball away is killing us yes, but the link up play could not get any worse, it has been non existent, and as far as I am concerned is still not good enough. Some may disagree with me but I think it is Ba who is more responsible for that.

  • 27 Toon1978 // Dec 10, 2012 at 10:28 PM

WILLIAMSON………makes Boumsong and Bramble look good. Tiote……garbage. Jonas…..least said the better. HBA, absolute class, tell you what, lets take him off. AP is a fruit cake, is he deliberately trying to lose??

  • 28 Ruddy Marveaux-lous // Dec 10, 2012 at 10:29 PM

    Eddie

Who is to say that it has not been addressed by Pardew? If we had any other options I think we would be playing Cisse up front by himself and threaten Ba with being benched. However, he has leverage over the club with his contract situation and as far as I am concerned I think he is exploiting that to get the best playing conditions for himself ie getting played down the middle.

Cisse has to make do with playing RW and is doing his best but we will not see the best from Cisse until Ba is either sold or played LW, he has shown that he doesn’t want to play LW which only leaves one alternative. I want to see a NUFC team where Ba and Cisse can work together but they can’t so we need to choose one or the other and I choose Cisse.

  • 29 VanToonMan // Dec 10, 2012 at 10:29 PM

Guys I agree that Jonas should NO WAY be starting…Marveaux has to start and we have to go back to a 4-3-3 with Ba on the left in my opinion and Cisse up top…..BUT…..as much as he was amazing last season and is our captain….is nobody realising how bad Colo is playing this season?!….Last season our Defence was shit but Colo was awesome so he kept it up to a decent level….this season he has been bad so we are totally rubbish in defence….So many mistakes from Colo….for me the most unforgiveable one was against Stoke…when he just let Jerome speed past him to score the winner with no effort to stick with him….unforgiveable.

Jonas needs to be dropped. Colo needs to raise his game QUICK time. We need a top class RB and LW with Cisse and Ba alternating up top in a 4-3-3. I am so mad right now it’s ridiculous. We’re 14th?!

  • 30 ONLINE GUY // Dec 10, 2012 at 10:30 PM

IS it time for a change of Manager ?

    Maybe not …

I cannot understand why Shola was prefered to Marvo on 70 mins.. Silly tactic’s on 70 min.s ..Hangerland was laughing.

Mind our midfield reminded me of Sporting Lisbon’s great play When Wor Bobby was the manager ..
    only in short spells though..tonight.

Ruddy, the link up play has been shocking. It looked better against Wigans ten men but was still lackluster. I dont believe the link up play is down to one player. We only have Anitas, Ben Arfa, Santon and Ba who come for the ball. The rest are happy to hide in the shadows and do nothing. Even with our strongest eleven out they look lackluster. Pardew really needs to get the lads working on their passing, movement and support play. We have lost the solid defense of last season and have less wonder goals. Our recent points per game form is worrying, 5 defeats from 6 with last seasons top three to play next

I am not solely blaming Ba, Cisse has responsibility too, every player on the pitch has responsibility. Do I think Cisse, Anita, Ben Arfa etc will do something about it, or at the very least try? Yes I do.

Do I think Ba will want to do something about it? No. It is all about himself.

  • 34 Super Magpie // Dec 10, 2012 at 10:36 PM

I know this post will most likely get ignored such is the length of it.

    My view on the game-
Anita was MOTM once again, played very well and rarely gave the ball away. Ben Arfa was good on his return and Krul made a few good saves to keep us in it. Santon was decent going forward but caught out far too much defensively. The whole back four were very poor. Coloccini was at fault for both goals as was Williamson partly for the 1st goal. I don’t understand why he turned his body away from the ball. He does this too often and it has led to own goals in the past. Do I need to mention him giving the ball away as well? Simpson was disappointing too. The amount of chances he had to put in a decent cross was ridiculous. So, so poor.

Now we move into our midfield. Anita like I said was our best player, if everyone played like him we’d be flying. Anyway, Tiote and Jonas are becoming liabilities. Tiote did not have to make that tackle for the free kick leading to their 2nd goal. He lost the ball many occasions and was sloppy as usual. Jonas is the same. He can’t pass, dribble or shoot so what is the point in having him in the team?

Cisse was non existant again and Ba was ok I guess. Ben Arfa was good in the 2nd half before he came off. Pardew’s just said that he planned to take him off around 70 minutes anyway so I take back what I said earlier about that decision.

Some good points were our corners improved, we were unlucky not to score and I thought we were unlucky tonight in all honesty. All the breaks fell to them and we hit the woodwork twice ( I think). We actually passed the ball around for a while too and had long spells of possession, which is something we have lacked this season. Certainly am improvement on our previous away games. Away games, there’s another point. 14 away games W/O an win. Our worst run in 27 years.
Make it 16 as we won’t beat Man Utd or Arsenal.

Also, why do we make awful players look like world beaters too?
Sidwell, Jones, Rodallega, Jerome and Diabate. Suppose it sums up how poor we are defensively.

  • 37 go toon go // Dec 11, 2012 at 8:01 AM

Ruddy Marveaux-lous.Instead of criticise me look how many times Anita played and all games are lost. That player can play only right back but we have better player for that position:Danny Simpson. If Danny leaves than fans will see how much he was important for the team. But you to value my words more wait and see how our team improving when Anita will be out of the squad.I hope Pardew will sense what i,m saying. We have our best player at the moment:Sylvain Marveaux and Alan Pardew sits him on the bench.I am not paid about managing Newcastle,he is.He has eyes, records from games.Press play and analyze.
