Alan Pardew – We’ll Be In Market For New Players

We don’t know how many players Newcastle will bring in next month, but the Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has said today that Newcastle will definitely be in the market for new players.

Alan Pardew – we’ll be in market for new players

Pardew has admitted that the Newcastle squad is currently weak with so many players out with injuries:

“On our side we look weak with the injuries we have sustained.” “We may need to bring a player in. We will be in the market as a few other clubs will be I am sure.”

“We play QPR next week and I am sure they will be busy. There will be some movement.” “For all the Premier League clubs, stability in this particular year is important because of the financial situation.”

“The bulk of the players we are going to have for the second half of the season are here.” “It would be nice to get one or two back like Steven Taylor and Cabaye, and as I say bring in one or two players to make us stronger.”

“We are a good side which is under-performing.” “There are reasons for that, but we cannot accept them.” “We have to work as hard as we can to turn the situation in our favor.”

And the question about next month is not only how many players Newcastle will bring in, but whether we’ll lose some players we already have – like Demba Ba for instance – who has that release clause in his contract becoming active again.

It seems an unnecessary diversion for a Newcastle aside who have to start picking up wins soon, or else we’ll be down there in the relegation zone.

We’d like to see three new players come through the door, but we doubt if Newcastle can get that many good players in their ranks by February.

What do you think?

He brought it upon himself should have got it earlier.

In the current regime i can’t see him coming into the test team. his T20 side Deccan chargers were poor. not soon at least.

We need 4/5 player min 2/3 defenders 1 striker to push cisse or if we loose Ba and a winger to take Jonas’ place as for sum reason AP doesn’t rate marv

My order or preference for January without anybody leaving.

    LW or RW

If anyone leaves, like Simmo or Ba, then we’d need 2 in that position, FB needs an upgrade, not just a replacement, same as CB.

the problem is his team finished bottom. I don’t think he is in the plans.

We cant even drop that clown Rohit Sharma

I think if no one leaves then
    CB (hopefully 2)

Went for RW because LW we got jonas marv fergie and obertan who looked better in his one game at LW than his 30 odd @ RW
So at RW we got well benny and Rtaylor, benny should be central not wasted on the wing

Meaning we want several players but MA won’t give me the money as the players will cost more than we want to pay so we will only get in one of our targets…..
AP is protecting himself with that statement

    What happen to OBERTAN ?

i usually think he is the fastest player in our squad . with him playing in counter attack may work today (no need for him to think much which he cant do!)

No offence to cricket fans but lets just assume the inevitable and England win the test……

Hopefully there wont be a cricket score against us today if Man City decide today is the day to revitalise their title chase. If HBA is so knife-edge then I see him coming on as a sub. If he starts, then the injury thing was a total lie from top to bottom, cant do that one again, Alan.

I would expect a defensive look to start with, but if we insist on the high line and Tims magic ‘find an opponent’ booting then they will be coming at us all day like the ocean. It comes to something when I am hoping that tiote does his old statutory yellow card display with a borderline sending-off approach, because in the long run I think we get half a player all season. But, seeing as we have only half a season to shape up, he may as well go for it ha ha.

I dont know how Citeh are going to manage without that midfield powerhouse, G Barry in the engine room. Yep, Right.

peaple might think i am crazy but
my team for today would be this
it can change to 4132 when we go a goal down but 4-4-2 has not worked well for us this season simply because we have insisted on using a poor winger which therefore ruins it
all season long these newer formations i think a partly to blame for the mix up as it has had so many players going out of position
cisse and ba are both strikers not wide men
cabaye when he was playing was playing more like a winger than a CM
tiote and anita are DM not attacking midfielders bigi does more agression than them two
santon is a FB not a winger
colocini is a CB not a lb
as for all this 442 causes hoof ball well it doesn’t hoof ball is caused when you have not real creativity in midfield and have championship CB
i would stay 4-4-2 from now until january and if we bring remy then change it into a 4-2-3-1 as remy will be more designed as a rooney like forward than a out and out forward

I think our priority is to get a creative midfield playmaker, we cant heavily depends on Cabaye & Ben Arfa to deliver all the time. As observed this season, without Cabeya & Ben Arfa on the field Newcastle looks ‘broken’ in the midfield cant link up the attacking line & defensive line. Also, another CB, Winger & FW will also needed.

What makes you think players will want to come to us now after seeing where we are going to be in the league in January. Better get clauses ready ie If we are relegated ( we are playing relegation football ) then we can seel em on asap cos Ashley wont want to fund their wages when we lose Premiership money.

Yes, and I’m in the market for a ferrari! Lets wait until Feb 1st and analyse how many and how good the signings are then. Also who will MA/DL force AP to sell during the transfer window.
