I agree with Anita, improving massively in the last few games.

    Just irritating.

If we play like we did in the second half, we will win more games than we lose. That performance should be the MINIMUM acceptable level until the end of the season.

A much better display in the 2nd half.

it just goes to show you that maybe if he had attacked some of those poorer teams we might have got something out of them

his team selection baffeled me,, his subs baffeled me,,

    why was marv not starting???

why was it tiote subbed and not perch,, out of the 2 tiote is the better one,,

ferg came on as a left back but played as a left winger, jonas was no where

    i still want him out,

City won’t have had many tougher games this season – the last 4 games we’ve played some good stuff but silly mistakes at the back costing us – just not switched on – Collocini caught not in line first goal, Tiote blocked Krul on corner for second and no one doubling up with Simpson for third. If we keep playing like that and can strengthen defence in Jan we’ll be ok but need to pick up some points somewhere to keep our heads above the relegation water! Thought Anita did well again today and Ba was a handful – cant believe the people saying to get rid in Jan cos when he’s in that form he’s nearly unplayable

Not doom mongering at all,but last season we played poorly at times and got results, this season we have played ok in pieces but aren’t coming away with anything we’re in a delegation fight and no denying it,hopefully with a bit of strengthening in January we’ll pull through and the ‘five year plan’ is still on course.

    It certainly was not Gutierrez.
Why is he getting a game – nothing but a liability now and it is like playing with ten men.

Guys i know i said it in the last blog but me when we actually pass the ball around and feed our forwards we look dangerous. If the ball fell in a nicer way when we went forward we could of snatched a draw. thoughts

Anita fails on the last ball alot.. However, a good performance overall..

We need Cabaye and Ben Arfa, its to obvious.

Cissé is a f*ing moron, clueless with nothing going his way this season, wondering if last season was a fluke?

It would be heartbreaking if we would end up in Championship again.. We really dont deserve this shit.

Anita Man of the match easily. Sorry but Sammy or Marvaux should be on the left, Jonas loses the ball far to much, seems lost most of the time. Would like to see Ferguson on the left, and Santon on the right for a few games, maybe make Simpson play better when he gets back in.

Well done boys, disappointing result, BUT I am not so disappoint because the players tried. Against Southampton, Swansea, West Ham and Fulham, not many tried, (Stoke most players tried, we should of won). only really Anita, Ba, Santon and Williamson(who is just crap but at least tries) .
But if we will play a lot worse next week and win against QPR. We need at least £15 million, on a striker, attracking centre midfielder, centre back and full back.
Like Sissokho and Douglas who is £2 million each. Charlie Austin possibly for £ million, and Debuchy for £6million. That should get us top 10, then good run in Europe and next year we will see

Wish people would leave Guti alone if you have ever played football you would know why he is so important.

However, he needs Marveaux alongside him.

Magfly the simple question to ask is what are the main attributes a lm needs and what does guti have. Not many in my book.

Its to bad we lack the funding. Last year 5th, this year relegation. We should have spend money while we were doing great results, good players wanted to come to Newcastle. Now… who would?

Leave it out, a winger’s primary role is to provide width an outlet and good crosses. Secondary is pressure, same with strikers. Guti doesnt even provide great pressure like he was last season and he definitely doesnt provide good crosses and he’s even lost the ability to beat a man. He needs to be benched for at least a game. We got two players who are good enough to play there

If you asked the players they would put Colo and jonas first names on team sheet. This is coming from an ex pro for 10 years.

How does Santon come 3rd when he was at fault for the first two goals? Anita MOTM by a mile, although a couple of times we had chances that just lacked the final pass which Cabaye would have made no doubt.

Also lay off Guti… Marv has had a couple of good games but lacks consistency, play Guti because of his workrate and defensive cover, he also compliments Santon, cutting inside to make space for him to run into, Santon has been one of our best players attacking wise this season and I doubt he would have been as effective if he had Marv in front of him.

We have to play Cisse centrally with Ba to the left, also realised how underrated Gabby is because we’ve really missed him past month or so.

@Magfly, come off it man! Jonas Gutierrez has now played 143 league games for us – he has managed just 8 goals and 17 assists in that time! That is piss poor for a winger! The bloke has been atrocious all season and his inability to deliver a cross is nothing short of pathetic! If I had my way he would only be behind Williamson in being shown the door in January. We need a new rb, cb, left winger and a cf in January at the bare minimum! Personally the only person I truly blame for the situation we are in now is that greedy fat cockney bastard. Everyone and their uncle knew we needed to push on and strengthen last summer if we were to improve! It kills me to say it in this circumstance but karma is a bitch Mr. Ashley. I hope your very happy!!

Why doesnt my fellow Newcastle fans all wake up and smell the coffee, there is simply no point in putting all the blame on certin players or even our manager, although i think he is just a very average manager at best, the simple truth is the real fault with our club lies at the top, we will simply never be a successful club under Mike Ashely, he has no love for Newcastle or thier great fans, and has no ambition or desire for sucess at Newcastle, he is only here to help promote his company sports direct, he has been a complete disaster at our great club, and has done lots of dirty tricks, and seems to love doing things to annoy the fans, what he done on Chris Hughton was simply a discrace, chris got us promoted straight back to the premier league at the first time of asking, and we were doing well in our first year back, and his reward was to get the sack, then we were told he was going to be replaced with a more experinced manager to take us to the next level, thats a joke, the reality was that Chris Hughton was a gentleman, who was very honest and had great integrity, and was not the type of man who Ashely could have in his back pocket, and spin the fans a load of lies, can you see where iam coming from my fellow Newcastle fans, Ashely would not know the meaning of honesty or integrity, he is just an nasty and selfish peice of work, and i ask you my fellow Newcastle fans, do you think our present manager is a better and more experinced manager? I know for sure that many would agree that chris hughton is a much better manager, but dont forget Mr Ashely, what goes round comes round, you might not be so smug if Newcastle finish up back in the championship again next season, but one thing for sure is Chris Hughton and Norwich wont be there next season. Howay the Lads.
