Cabaye Hopes Moussa Sissoko On His Way To Newcastle

6:13 am, Sunday, December 16th, 2012 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 6 Comments

There has been news recently in France that Newcastle will sign Moussa Sissoko next month, and his potential signing has been backed by Newcastle’s french International midfielder Yohan Cabaye, who is recovering from a groin problem. which needed surgery.

Moussa Sissoko - on his way to Newcastle

The 6’2″ Moussa Sissoko will be a free agent in the summer, and the news is that Newcastle will bring him to Tyneside next month for a small fee, although other clubs are also interested in the player.

And Newcastle need to bring in reinforcements in January if we are to climb the league table, with our results over the last seven games being almost as bad as they could be – with six defeats in seven games.

French International Cabaye is out until possibly February and with Cheick Tiote off again to the African Cup of nations in early January for the second year running, Newcastle need reinforcements in central midfield.

Yohan Cabaye had this to say about the possible signing:

“I don’t know if Moussa is coming here but he’s a good, strong player and good going forward.’’

Newcastle need to strengthen the defense next month more than anything, because our inability to defend strongly has cost us many points over the last seven games, and to think we have only Steven Taylor missing – so our defenders are massively under-performing this season – at least compared to how they did last season.

If he does come in January ! He does,nt know what he,s letting himself in for ?

The fickle fans on here and a lot of others will be expecting him to come in and be an instant success !

I hope he is not the only player signed in January, it will not surprise me if we are in the bottom three come the 1st January!

I hope Steven Taylor does not not come back soon. This will force Mike & gang to cough up some money to buy quality centre backs. He & Danny Simpson need to go. We need a no nonsense CB like Vidic to partner Colo. I would keep rather Willo as a squad member. Our first 11 have all been internationally capped with the exception of the 3 just mention. Just sayin.

This is just typical of how arrogant Ash and Lam are, all the players knew we needed strengthening in the summer after a very successful season which brought us European fotball. But no we know better, buy players where we can make a profit (amatifano, Bigi, Good and Anita) all our younger players will be ready for first team action and last seasons players are going to be much better…….
This football stuff is easy…Well its not and we have needed a commanding centre half for two years, we have limited creativity in the middle when benny missing and we have no pace.
We never replaced the players we let go and this lands at the feet of the management.
Pards is in a difficult position but he manages , let him tell Ash that the team needs new players directly and not via the press ‘I think we made mistakes in the summer’.
I am all for praising our club when we do well, but burying your head in the sand when refusing to pay a few more million on players is just a joke.
To sum it up ‘double standards’ how many times do we hear ‘Its going to take a helluva lot of money to sign our players’ and followed by ‘ we have our price and wont go over it’.
Before i get abuse from those stating Shep and the glory chairman were too flash with cash, i am pointing out 4/5 more million would have probably got us Douglass and Debuchy who are the players we allegedly did our homework on. Bet you if we knew then what we know now they may have paid up.
Boys in the office keep saying all ash wants is us mid table, promote ‘Sports direct’ and thats it…….Maybe they are right !
    IMO

Bambams. Spot on mate! At last someone who speaks some sense on here. Jan is Ashley’s biggest test finds he’s been here. If he doesn’t spend then we know his true intentions. A big defender and some better width and we could change our luck.
