Anita MoM for me. Santon close second. Ameobi 3rd.
Wasn’t too impressed with his dive at the end, but at least he didn’t try to appeal the yellow. Took it like a man and got on with the game, unlike a couple divers in this league.
Said last night I’d take a scrappy poor 1 – 0 win, but not lightly. Nothing’s changed but hopefully gives them some confidence and Pardew a fresh perspective on Marveaux. it’s also bought him some time.
Anita for me, this lad is the real deal and is getting better and better every time I see him.
Fantastic 3 points, much needed but it was made much harder than it should have been, we struggle massively to create, we need to get this sorted some way or another.
I understand Cisse’s frustrations, he played excellently down the RW, his touch, work rate endeavour alone should have made Pards put him down the middle and bench Ba.
The sooner we get rid of that egotistical prima dona the better. Demba Ba your days are numbered, hasta la vista, get the hell out of my club you greedy git.
Ba was shit, he is obviously gone so stop playing him. Give our players who will be staying some game time and confidence and support (Ameobi and Cisse)
I don’t really see Cisse and Ameobi having good chemistry with one another, whereas in the past Ba and Ameobi have shown a more fruitful partnership up front. I reckon that was one of the key factors in his decision to keep Ba on instead of Cisse.
SERIOUS investment in January please. We are screaming out for a full back, centre back, midfielder and a striker. Tiote banned again. Sorry but if any bid comes in for Tiote i hope we sell.
Even though Man Utd are a poor overrated team, we’ll still make silly mistakes as Simpson and Williamson aren’t good enough. Willo should’ve been sent off today. an’t believe he didn’t get a yellow after that cynical challenge right at the death.
Ba should’ve been benched and not Cisse Jonas should be on bench already for months. Marv should play instead of Perch and Obe to try instead of Jonas. When Cabaye and HBA are back, we should not be playing with Jonas as a starter. Marv HBA and Cabaye should be our midfielders. Why Marv doesn’t get any chances at Newcastle?
TADS when cisse reacted like he did with being taken off i can totally understand it. why should he accept being subbed when you have ba when we know is now probably going to leave in january still being treated as the main forward and pardew warning him if he does not score he will be dropped yet deciding to play him on the wing when he is a CF. on the other hand ba was subbed because he was playing poor in his correct position also we know he wants his own way when he makes threat of quitting if he is not played as a CF unlike cisse who has not said anything yet despite being shoved OOP
TADS well he might of been on the wing too but still why the hell should cisse accept being played out wide warned that he has to score or be dropped while ba who will be leaving is still allowed to be the main CF. what pardew comes out with a lot makes me wonder does he have a brain
Personally, i will put full of credit to AP, he made the changes at the right time, right person, and right tactics have well displayed after the subs. Pappis just couldn’t get rid of the defenders, at times he mis-passed alots..
Obertan has well deserved the commendation as he worked very hard in both defensive and attacking roles, where by Santon, Col, and Anita also played decently in their own pos respectively. Shola remains the Super-sub of Newcastle !!
Howay the lads! Lets hope we could get smth frm Man Utd match 😀
Man, I am totally out of step with most of you. I watched the entire game and this thought kept running through my head: if you were playing against them, is there anyone on Newcastle who scares you? The answer to me is, without HBA, no.
I saw Ba’s selfishness today as some of you have said and for whatever reason, Cisse looks completely lost out there. I’m going to stick up for Jonas – he bombed balls into the box for the first 30 minutes and it was like no one was there. Ba and Cisse did nothing with them.
As for Anita, I don’t see it. I’d play Marveaux over him any day of the week.
Having poked the hornet’s nest like that, let me suggest that Ba plus the injuries to Cabaye and HBA may be the whole problem. Ba seems to be a black hole in the center, absorbing opportunities and not letting them back out. Get rid of him, put Cisse there and get HBA back and we might have a threat. Right now, we got nothing at all. I think Ba has 10 goals because he’s taken 90% of all scoring opportunities.
I’m not down on Jonas like the rest of you. He looked the same as he always has, steady and solid, crossing balls in. There’s just no one there on the other end.
An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.
I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

Comment #16Based on that performance team I would play this team against Manure:
Krul
Simp, Willo, Collo, Santon
Obertan, Perch, Anita, Marv,
Cisse, Ameobi
Ba was shit, he is obviously gone so stop playing him. Give our players who will be staying some game time and confidence and support (Ameobi and Cisse)
