Marveaux And Bigirimana Both Start For Magpies

manchester-united-fc.png

Sylvain Marveaux and Gael Bigirimana both start for Newcastle this afternoon at Old Trafford.

It’s surprising that Gael Bigirimana is starting this afternoon at Old Trafford in place of the suspended Cheick Tiote, but it shows just how promising a player the former Coventry City midfielder is.

Jonas Gutierrez is not included in the 18 man squad for this game and 17 year-old striker Adam Campbell is on the bench today.

Newcastle will again play in a 4-3-3 formation with the midfield three being Perch Bigirimana and in-form Vurnon Anita and the front three are Cisse, Ba and Marveaux, who is showing some good form lately.

For the Red Devils Vidic is surprisingly on the bench with Rio Ferdinand and Jonny Evans the two center-backs.

It’s going to be a tough game today and we are expecting much out of the game – so it’s a good time to be surprised on the upside today.

Howay The Lads!!

Not a bad team, happy with it. I just hope if we lose that he doesnt change it straight back for the next one and have Joans of the LW.

Give it a few games without him, think Marveaux would be better in the middle behind Ba still rather than out wide and think Cisse has been lucky to keep his place..

    Yes to moving to 433
Yes to keeping the ball on the ground.
    Yes to no Jonas
No to Cisse as a right winger!

Surely Bigi, Perch and Anita have the beating of Scholes and Carrrick in the middle of the park for speed and strength. A weak Newcastle team but probably one of the worst united starting IX this season.

great team, but i also am hoping its 4-3-1-2 as cisse cannot play on the right wing.

if we are playing 4-3-3, i wish pards would just assert his authority and put ba out wide because we know he can play there.

    HWTL!

middle of the park could go either way today.

Bigi, Anita and Perchy could give Scholes and Carrick too much respect and allow them to control, or they could hound them and let them know they’re there right from the off.

Will have a big effect on the game today, and Bigirimana could be key!

El Sleve, i hope Marveaux gets the #10 role behind the front two as well.

Probably the best lineup we can put out at this stage.

Was Jonas injured? seems odd that he was left out.

Happy with this team. Prob the best we could have put out. Would have preferred obertan to start and then bring on Cisse after 70mins to grab a goal.

By the way in case it hasnt been posted before there’s and interview with gutierrez on the guardian website

Well Percy Parsnip has really changed things around. -now really looking forward to this game.
It is one of those games where we’ll either get a caning -or a surprise victory. If we do not collapse in the first half hour and the confidence grows we might get a win. They have a dodgy keeper -we have the surprise unknown sub -Ginger nut -love to see him come on and make a name for himself -skinning Ferdinand and Smalling with his super speed.

Lots f worried Manc fans with Giggs n Scholes in the same line up and Rooney isn’t even on the Bench.
Maybe we have a chance today as Rio should be too slow for Cisse n BA

Jonas is injured so the replacement was forced on Pardew. If we lose, Jonas will never get dropped and Marveaux will carry the can for losing at Manure.
