Would You Believe It – Arsenal Not Interested In Demba Ba

And to think Sky Bet had the odds of Demba Ba moving to Arsenal in January at 1-2 – and that’s a surprise given the news today that Arsenal, or rather the Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger – is not interested in signing the Senegal striker next month – which may be good news for Newcastle fans.

Demba Ba – Arsene Wenger says they will not be signing him

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted during the build up for tomorrow’s game at the fantastic Emirates Stadium against Newcastle, that while he thinks Demba Ba is a good player, he has ruled out any move for the Newcastle striker.

Ba has scored 11 of Newcastle’s 23 goals in the Premier League this season, and has been in sparkling goal-scoring form ever since he signed for the Magpies on a free transfer last year.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he thinks Ba is a very good player, but when asked if the London club would be signing him next month the manager had this to say:

“”I like Demba Ba, yes, but it is not the right place to speak about him because he plays against us tomorrow. ” “If you ask me ‘do we sign him’, I say no.”

So there you have it (we think) – Arsenal will not be buying Demba ba next month so don’t bother betting on it – and save your money.

Maybe QPR will come in for him next month, but we seriously doubt if Ba would want to join a club that gets 18,000 gates and are bottom of the league, after playing for a club so famously supported as Newcastle United, and Harry Rednapp has said it will be hard for QPR to attract good players in January.

What do you think?

    Fergy rant word for word:

He is the worst for haranging referees. His whole staff, every game. He was at it the whole game on Wed.

He shoves a ref then makes a joke of it, then he’s got the cheek to criticise me. It’s unbelievable.

He forgets the help I’ve given him, by the way.

focus on spat with Dean is price of being at “most famous club in world” not a “wee club in the north-east like Newcastle

Ba’s knee will put off a lot of good managers that could attract top players instead

Another wee club and manager. Come on now, it’s getting embarrassing. Let’s just accept how big Man u and Ferguson are, they deserve to be right always and to not be punished.

Wow, so Ferguson has just shown himself up to be a pathetic old man. Any ounce of respect that I had for him has now gone. He’s a hypocritical, egotistical piece of shite and I for one relish the day he retires and the world of football forgets him.

So reading between the lines, Douglas will go off East, Shola will live his dream and Demba Ba will head to London or Paris, Loci Remy will keep our hopes up and join Spurs for double wages and a shot at the CL, we’ll go after a Mariappa and when we’re quoted the going rate will announce a statement saying we’ll go for our real target in the summer.

Well at least this will end Pardew’s pathetic sucking up to Ferguson all of the time. That always did my head in. Everyone but the FA and Man Utd fans know Ferguson is scum and should never have been knighted.

I hope Pardew really hits back at this like.

Man U wouldn’t be the most famous club in the world if they hadnt bought so many trophies over the last 20 years.

We get 50000 attendance after 6 losses for a dreary match against qpr, would Man U get that if they hasn’t won a trophy since ’69?
    Of course not.

I’ve just watched Wingers interview on Demba Ba, the only reason he is saying no is because we are playing them tomorrow it definitely looks like there has been communication between them.

Wizard…But that’s because they’re winners and we’re just a wee club in the north east.

Personally I don’t think Pardew should hit back. Instead send him a friendship bracelet and offer a public apology ( a few tears wouldn’t go amiss).

I can see this window being like the last one for Ba – loads of transfer talk but no one willing to take a chance on him.
Wenger doesn’t want him, Chelsea won’t want him, Liverpool are buying Sturridge, Man City – no chance and Man U won’t want a striker from a ‘wee club’ like the Toon.
Only QPR left eh Demba? You’re welcome to it.
At the end of it do we want a disgruntled, egotistical but embarrassed player turning out for us if that happens?
As for Ferguson – the guy may have won plenty of trophies but he has no dignity, style or class and even the fawning media, pathetic FA and rich owners can’t provide him with that.
Finally, belated seasonal greetings to all the lads (pro and anti-Ashley) on this brilliant blog and to the legendary Ed himself. Unfortunately I feel it’s gonna be a long haul to safety at the end of this season and a fraught footballing 2013. Hope I’m wrong.
Also keeping my fingers crossed that the three ghosts of Christmas have visited our owner over the Festive period.

Unfortunately Ferguson is only saying what they rest of the country think of Newcastle. We are not a big club we have have a big loyal fan base there is a massive difference. Delusional but loyal. That said he is still a jock roach.
As for Ba don’t be surprised if he is still here at the end of the window as he wants the same clause in his next contract.
The papers are saying we are after Darren Bent.

Where do we start with this guy Ferguson?? An
obnoxious “bully” who has defiled the great game for
far too many years. The sooner he is out of the game
the better for all lovers of fair play, respect for the
opposition. and dignity in defeat! “Sir” Alex – don’t
make me laugh! This title is traditionally bestowed on
someone who will live up to the accolade, someone
of the class and pedigree of SIR BOBBY ROBSON who
carried this deserved honour with grace and dignity.
A man with a passion for all things football and would
never ever contemplate referring to ANY club as “Wee”
Ferguson was a great friend of SBR – Did he not learn
anything from the great man! obviously not!!
Hang your head in shame Fergie!
