I hope ameobis gets injured and can’t wait for that arrogant, useless sh1te tiote to GeForce to ACON

  • 2 Santon03 // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:06 PM

so… how many games did we lose at home?

  • 3 Klam3r // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:07 PM

Pardew have lost it. I will not back him one more minute before he learns from his mistakes. The guy is a poor manager, and clearly can’t man manage the squad. So many so called top players are underperforming, and that’s not the players fault.

Starting Cisse on the wing… What a disgrace! He should be in the box all the time. The man is a world class poacher, and Pardew uses him as a winger? Pathetic! Got a poacher goal today, probably used as a winger next match too.

Pardew out! I’ll gladly pay £1.000 out of my own pockets to get rid of him. And yes… even with Ashley and Lameass as owner/director i think we can do way better than pardew as coach.

  • 4 TurkishFan101 // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:07 PM

Again for whom that did not see:”

Let me re-post this if you haven’t seen it already,

@coccolini Not Pardwhos fault? Are you kidding me? So you saying its not him that decides who plays, what formation, what tactics, hoof ball or ground ball, last 5 minutes and sub on, poor tactical subs. ITS THE MANAGERS fault, ALLOT OF FANS ARE WORKING HARD TO GET PAID AND WATCH THE CLUB THAT THEY LOVE SO NO ONE HAS AN EXCUSE TO SAY ITS NOT THE MANAGERS FAULT CAUSE IT OBVIOUSLY IS. IF WE HAD DAVID MOYES YOU WOULD STILL SAY THE SAME THING? I dont think so.

The owner has to play a big part on it cause I see Pardew as a manager but without powers to get anyone in, its upto the board and owner who we bring in. But a manager is what keeps the team together, the spirit the tactics, Everything, once the team is not with the manager then it will cause huge chaos and will look like the mess we are in atm.”

  • 5 t00ntime // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:08 PM

Lets be honest we didnt perform that bad. Everton were just as bad as us.
If santon passed cisse wud of scored.
If the ref wasnt a scouser, we wud of had a pen (2-0)+hetinga yellow
Fellani dived and got FK which went in.
Heintinga got a yellow which shud of been his second.
Hetinga took out ranger and was the last man, yet ranger gt the blame.

The ref destroyed the game, but we didnt deserve to win we desered a draw we were both sh1t. AP lost ba last minute, wait till norwich
    Cabaye+debuchy+Staylor+cisse as ST

    Judge him after that

  • 6 Toon Tang // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:08 PM

i cant formulate a proper sentence to describe how much i hate martin atkinson

  • 7 Baro // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:09 PM

    WTFF…….

    where there b any changes….
    okay we get debuchy…
but god DAM IT get rid of these uselsess players…

williamson, shola, tiote was shit today….
    we need 2 strikers, a center mid,, i sissoko…

2 or 3 center backs,, and a backup left back…

  • 8 Tommyy // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:09 PM

It’s looking bleak, the team look like they have given up. If Debuchy refused us I would not be surprised after that.

  • 9 Foxworth // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:09 PM

1st time I have nothing positive to say.

    Angry, embarrassed & disappointed.

    F**king abysmal.

    Pathetic.

  • 10 Indian Magpie // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:09 PM

    All Hoofing

Barely saw marveaux in the second half.

  • 11 ToonDownSouth // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:09 PM

    lesh summed it up well.

When the manager is the most senior ‘footballing man’ at the club, then you’re in trouble.

Nothing will change, because Pardew is under no pressure, because our owner and chairman have absolutely no connections to the fans and their paying customers.

  • 12 Kyo // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:09 PM

We’re going down then we’re going to lose Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Debuchy and others.

    It will be catastrophic.

  • 13 2_goal_tino // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:10 PM

Marveaux and Anita the best. They linked up well together. Sammy looked bright when he came on. And Cisse scored. Other than that entirely disappointing. It’s bad enough not winning, but not getting any points at all is really troublesome. We had chances to draw this. Perch header, Shola volley, Cisse header then shot, Santon 1 on 1, Marveaux shot at end. So disappointed. It’s a good thing we have 10 or so days off from the league … they all have to get their heads screwed on for a battle in the second half of the seaspn

  • 14 Big Pappa Cissé // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:10 PM

9 defeats in 11 and our top scorer on his way to Chelski. What a day to be an NUFC supporter. I bet Debuchy is thinking about shredding that contract right about now

  • 15 Toon Tang // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:11 PM

i didnt understand obertan coming off . he were the only one running at anyone , him and marv sorry

  • 16 gorgonzola ( former Pecorino former to gorgonzola) // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:11 PM

    re post…

I think when I saw Ameobi ahead of Cisse up front it was not a good sign.

Tiote is in bad form. We are missing HBA badly there is 0 creativity.
I think this manager is not good for us. I feel he is not a bad manager but not for us. What we need is a discipline manager. Somebody like Lother Matthaus.

A German manager…make the team work like a team. Pardew has basically imploded ever since we got a bad run.

I think 60% of the blame is Ashley fro not strengthening this squad in the perfect time last season.

Santon today has disappointed me hugely. Its one having debuchy but what Santon did today was piss away 2 points. all he had to do was square the ball.

Shola is a sub nothing more. Guti should also not play for us he is slow and a frustration. To me Colo has completely lost form.

Its very obvious Willo should he shipped, so does simmo, Colo needs to be thrashed. Tiote dropped for a few games.

If we dont get 2 quality CBs I think we will get relegated.

I think I would bin Remy signing and sign 2 quality CBs first… Seriously. Get a cheaper signing for a ST role our defence has totally collapsed. I am scared to watch us play to be honest.

  • 17 ToonDownSouth // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:11 PM

I don’t give a crap how tired they are, our best 11 need to play at Brighton to try and get some fcking momentum going.

If we play the kids we’ll lose, and it’ll just continue to spiral downwards.

  • 18 Baro // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:11 PM

martin atkinson was so one sided today…

like how much fouls did he give that curly headed fuk in felliani ? i don’t know how a player like anichebe scores on us everytime? maybe if we had a better defense it would be the reason….

  • 19 Indian Magpie // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:11 PM

Pardew’s Gift to Shola for not going to AFCON – 90 Minutes

  • 20 geordie157 // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:11 PM

thought a draw would have been fair tonight. Next three prem games are winnable, Marveaux needs to keep his place he was the star man again. Right or left winger is needed, tom ince please!

  • 21 Benry // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:12 PM

No too time I’ll freaking judge him now! Pardew is faking terrible, he’s a complete doofus. Which other team would play cisse on the wing after losing top striker? Which other manager would bring on a 18 yo DM in place of a pacey winger when chasing a game. Which would play Jonas????? Fk pardew and fk shola too, the useless sh1tstain

  • 22 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:13 PM

    Right
We got a big break in the league get your fingers out lads and work your bollox of on the training ground, pardew you need to be kicking fat ashleys door down after that

  • 23 BelfastMagpie // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:13 PM

Agree with toontang I thought his subs were awful.

  • 24 Mac // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:13 PM

Is somebody kidding me here. We hit the post could and should have scored at least 3. Cisse Santon Marvuex. Baines free kick was unstoppable and their 2nd was a world class goal. They are 5th for a reason. Never in my life have i come across a more negative bunch. Try going to the game instead of bitching about from the house.

  • 25 ToonDownSouth // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:14 PM

    gorgonzola

I agree. Not even worth thinking about attacking players until we’ve got 3 defenders in.

Colo’s distribution is good, but defensively he looks a nervous wreck at the moment.

Williamson pretty much single handedly cost us the second goal – I’m not just pick on him here, watch the replay back and he makes about 3 massive errors.

Our right side of defense consisted of Williamson, Perch and Cisse – there was never a time in the 90 minutes where I thought they weren’t going to score down our right.

  • 26 Jayden // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:15 PM

RIGHT. Today, we were beaten by a shouldn’t-have-been free kick, and poor defending in an area that should be strengthened this week. We now have a week and a half until the next Premier League game. That is long enough to get Debuchy (touch wood) in sync and starting, get Tayls and Cabs up to speed, and work on bringing 1 or 2 in. We have an easier streak coming up, where we can rack up some points and get our heads screwed on again. Calm down fella’s, now is not the time for fear, that comes later.

  • 27 Ari Gold // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:15 PM

We’re as good as down. The sooner you all accept this the better.

  • 28 kevymartins // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:15 PM

I’m fu ck ing sick and tired of the bull/sh it

what is the point in being a nufc fan really like

Manager is a tool owner is a tool they don’t do nothing for the fans they don’t listen to the fans they don’t give the fans anything they wan’t its a disgrace

  • 29 Peter // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:16 PM

Ref was an absolute joke. Ridiculous every foul was given to Everton never a free kick baines scored from. So angry but now we have winnable games keep the faith cisse scoring is good news

  • 30 davis_toons // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:16 PM

    1. To be fair – We score from an weird bound from the ball and Cisse as he was a poacher knows where the ball is going to bound off the ground, he finishes it.

    1 points to Cisse (newcastle)

    2. Everton equal with a free kick.

    1 point to Baines (Everton)

Our Defence Sucks when you compare that to our former Defender on the other end – Sylvain Distin (he’s strong and he’s French, should be on our side to help Colo)

    1 point to Distin (Everton)

Our Willo almost an Own goal to bring us 1-3 down.
(He tried his best for us, we can see that, just not good enough)

-1/2 a point to Willo (Newcastle)
*Recommend – A strong Defender (CD) is needed to marked plp like fellaini; Anichebe and head dangerous crosses out of the box.

Bonus player to bring in: A stronger and taller midfielder, the likes of fellaini, patrick veria, Yaya, those kind.
(It can be a younger player)

  • 31 colwell // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:16 PM

Colo seems to of hit the same form he was in when he first joined.

  • 32 2_goal_tino // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:17 PM

The only shining light is that there are 5 absolutely diabolical teams below us, who may just about manage to accumulate fewer than us!

  • 33 Beattie25 // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:18 PM

The problem isn’t the goals we conceded it’s the fact we shut up shop after 2 minutes.

    Pardew has to go.

It’s the same every fcuking game.

  • 34 gorgonzola ( former Pecorino former to gorgonzola) // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:18 PM

mac please give us a break…we are not playing Man City…

Our rear was in arrears. We where bleak and to ad Pardew got it wrong sorry ti say…starting with Shola up front was completely of the ball.

To me the problem is rather obvious its not going forward its the CDM and the entire Back line …..its collapsed…. Team needs a leader to me people are starting to play for themselves….Santon move was stupid I would lash him and drop him next game even if that means playing Tavernier.

I have no idea how they will do it but they will need 2 world class CBs in there come end of the window….that doesnt happen for whatever reason….

    I think its tickets.

  • 35 RonVanDam // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:18 PM

We need 7 new players, excluding the injured ones, Cisse, krul, Marv and Anita

  • 36 Benry // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:18 PM

Exactly kevyty. I’m giving my valuable time to watch those two yards pardew and shola use my money as bog roll

  • 37 seantoon // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:18 PM

Indian right fair who would u have started instead of shola? We’ve got absolutely nothing to offer I thought his team selection was strong enough would have just preferred 442 for 90mins

  • 38 Krul to be Kind // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:19 PM

Tiote has given away vital balls far too much of late, the booking he got was fully deserved, why even put pressure on Fellaini when bigi had it covered?

We were poor tonight after the first 30, not fatigue or any other excuse, too many tactical variants, these are footballers he is working with not rocket scientists, half the team arent on the same page with too many tactical changes being made in game, last season we kept it simple, this season we are changing too much and putting too much emphasis on interchanging, this works when you have the players for it but unfortunately we currently don’t when you are shoving square pegs into round holes.

I respect Pardew and defend him when I think right but he is pushing me into the losing patience category of fan!

  • 39 kevymartins // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:20 PM

About 16 games left about 10 possible winners..knowing us we will lose them but if we do win that will put us on 47 points but I doubt it will happen we could well be saying by bye to the premier league and by bye to all top players.

  • 40 Rotonda heights // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:20 PM

    Mac

Don’t use that pathetic we weren’t at the match makes you a better fan b…x

We’ve lost 11 out of 13 FFS. We can see that front row and centre wherever we are.

    Positives

    Marveaux, Anita and Sammi’s cameo.

    Negatives.

With someone as slow as Willo, you have to play a sweeper

Why was Ameobi left on so long while we had a second half ”hoof fest” and got over-run in midfield again

Why the hell didn’t Santon square it for a Cisse tap in?

Why does Pardew always do the opposite of what you want him to do?

At West Ham Pardew had the record of the worst losing streak in their history. I think he’s just broken that record here.

I told people Pardew will only take us one way and for those who keep saying we are too good to go down need a reality check. I think Pardew is getting all out of excuses and more worryingly doesn’t seem to have the desire any more.

  • 41 RonVanDam // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:21 PM

If we get relegated, i can guarantee you – we wont come back straight up like we did with Hughton

  • 42 Ketsbaia9 // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:21 PM

We’ve just got to sign decent players in order to remain in the league. Total disaster season. We’ve just sold the best striker in the league who in my opinion is irreplaceable.

  • 43 2_goal_tino // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:21 PM

My issue with the line-up was having Marv in the middle when either he or obertan could’ve played on the right allowing Cisse to play just off Shola. Cisse’s a great lad but he doesn;t know who or when he’s supposed to track back.

  • 44 Hettoon // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:23 PM

I’ve nver ever wrote on a blog before but after seeing that I felt i wanted to vent my spleen.
After work rate and creativity against Manure and Arse we had poor movement today, players not able to look up and find a pass (Sammy near end when Anita had loads of space sticks out clearly), only 2 players who look like they can take anyone on are Marveaux and Obertan (and I really don’t Obertan – but thought he was doing ok down the left today). The defence is awful, ball watching, reacting instead of reading a situation by which point it’s too late. Too many free kicks given away. What do they do in training?

  • 45 Ketsbaia9 // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:23 PM

I’ve always said that QPR will stay up and I am hardly ever wrong, so we need to make changes sooner rather than later.

  • 46 warwick // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:23 PM

    warwick // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:16 PM

Fact is we had chances. I don’t usually criticise the manager as i am coming from a fan perspective but where is the sense in playing cisse wide right all his chances came from the box today, he is a box shooter?
Got to start picking up points, qpr beat chelsea and their confidence is up.

  • 47 kevymartins // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:23 PM

Oh and another thing .”were expecting players to come in” yeah right on the 31st it will be and live at st.james to hear are they making there 2nd signing oh wait pardrew is away home…and wee need players now not then

  • 51 Krul to be Kind // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:24 PM

I am extremely confident we won’t go down this time because of the class we have when we get motoring again we won’t look back unlike last time when we were freefalling and played no good football whatsoever, at least we still show glimpses of quality even without our most creative players, as for Marv… Bravo Marvo, he looks so much better than I anticipated, I want to see him given more ball to run, starting to look a player much better than I expected!

  • 52 toonarmydownsouth // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:24 PM

Our back four do not play for each other none of them know whos marking who they fail time and time again to pick up runs they panic on the ball and never properly clear there lines
For me that falls on one player
    Colocini
As our captain and dominant CB your are supposed to be the driving force of the team, the spine your supposed to show grit, determination and passion
If some one makes a mistake you should be there in there face making sure they know they need to step it up
    You need to be vocal
You need to grow a pair and be the fcuking leader that the armband on the sleeve of the black n white deserves

  • 54 Beattie25 // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:25 PM

We are fooked if we don’t do something.

It will take massive investment or a change of manager. In my opinion it needs both.

  • 55 Ketsbaia9 // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:26 PM

If Ba was playing, we would’ve won today. It’s a huge mistake not tying him up with a new contract.

  • 56 stevie101182 // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:27 PM

we have 9 first team player out injured at the moment yes we need reforcements. I dont think we did too bad today Everton are a good team hence why they are fifth once we get everyone back we will have enough to survive. I think anywhere from 10th-14th will be good and we can kick on next season

I will say one thing though credit to the supporters the atomosphere was amazing in there. It was a true representation of this club any player will be lucky to play in front of the supporters and that is what Debuchy is probably thinking

I will hold my opinion of Pardew until the end of the window and when players are back and new signings are here but at present it is not looking good

Pardew played Cisse out wide due to the training and the game plan he thought Ba would be playing up until this afternoon that was the case. Next game Cisse needs to be playing through the middle sitting on the last defender as he did last year and scoring goals.

  • 57 wreker16 // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:27 PM

Cisse man of the match, based simply on effort.

He scored his chance, made some good tackles, ran all over, showed his poaching abilities when unmarked at the back post when santon went for goal, not happy when we decided to shoot from ridiculous off balance positions instead of putting crosses on his head.

Whilst others were not, I was surprised to see cisse on the wing, why not play him down the middle?

  • 58 toonicle // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:27 PM

What is wrong with Pardew? His first sub decision is to take off our best player of the game (Obertan) and stick on a kid whos better playing DM. Why start both Shola and Cisse instead of leaving Shola as an impact Striker sub later in the game? Why continue to play Cisse on the right when Ba isn’t even in the team? So many questions, and the only answer is that Pards has lost it.

  • 59 kevymartins // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:27 PM

If Debuchy gets the 1st flight outa newcastle we can’t blame him…Colo wilo perch and santon WTF is going on there like can’t really blame perch pardrew seems to fire him about the team like a rag doll..FFS give the lad a posision and stickj with it for me he is a cdm

Defense is a far greater issue than attack! We need to sign at least 3 defenders, however I’d be surprised if we signed 1.

Can’t see Debuchy enjoying that crap, nor the round of boos from the fans post match.

  • 63 sticklebricks // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:28 PM

Friend I think he wanted to leave ever since the start of the season.
He is was whatever one wants to call it a mercenary.

Its never easy with thsi club, But its starting to become clear nothing will be, till we get a smart manager to me Pardew is not a smart manager, not a witty manager, imagine what Moise would do with this club.

I would be gutted for us to go down this year, nevermind for the club but also for some of the players that just WANTED to come and play for us…

Players like Cabaye, HBA, Cisse, Debuchy in a way its not easy coming here now under any circumstances.

I am not even from Newcastle and I am gutted as a dog. I feel somebody burnt 1000 of my ships after today. I think this club deserves somebody that will have interest in this club and will invest. Even in these harsh times.

Who knows maybe this will be impetus to sell the club after all.

I dunno, I think Pardew needs to check himself look at himself in the mirror, Have the balls to possibly quit. Any other team in the PL and this record would send the coach packing.

  • 69 boater // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:31 PM

Williamson did nothing wrong. It never ceases to amaze me how he gets so much criticism when the obvious, glaring, massive, terrifying liability in our defense is Davide Santon. That was an horrific performance – Maybe Santon means santa clause in Italian because he can’t stop giving away gifts to the opposition.

  • 70 Ketsbaia9 // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:31 PM

Santon’s been our player of the season so far, but should’ve passed to Cisse. Thinks he wants his first goal for us.

  • 71 Beattie25 // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:32 PM

I said this the other day.

Colo is not being the leader we need.

We have no room for sentiment when we have 17 games left to play and we are in a relegation dog fight. We need fight and a leader.

If we flogged Colo back to Argentina for £10 million we could then buy Sakho and M’bwia and have 2 immense CB’s who fight for their clubs, are vocal and would fcukng get a grip.

Colo is so poor and not what we need. He couldn’t handle it the year we went down and he can’t handle it now.

There are no leaders and all the players we have been linked with are not leaders. Sakho would transform this team. Would he come?

I’ve been asking for Pardew to be replaced for a few weeks now – and before anyone has kittens, i don’t think he’s the worst manager in the world (not even in the Prem!). But isn’t it obvious that a club, which by it’s own official line is punting for a top six place, needs a better man at the helm?
I’ve seen far worse players than the ones we had out there today put in serious shifts and stick to game-plans and play set patterns – this is what really galls me, because this is what a manager/coach is meant to produce.

  • 73 Ketsbaia9 // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:33 PM

God knows how Bigirimana is getting in ahead of Abeid. It’s a complete joke. He had a shocker today.

  • 74 5Danny94 // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:33 PM

Tiote was abysmal. He spent more time kicking Everton than kicking the ball. I was amazed he didn’t get a red card and I don’t think we’ll miss him when he goes to AFCON.

I know it’s bad times to be a Newcastle fan, but the thought of this team is making me a little optimistic. Even if we don’t sign anybody in January.

    Beattie you have a point….

  • 76 beefman13 // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:34 PM

Gut wrenching, everton r decent no doubts and two top drawer goals as well, obertan was playing ok surprised when he came off but he turned hos back on the ball for the free kick, fcukn hate that and he should be fined, bains for them is class amd us giving free kicks away on the edge of the box is criminal, tiote is a shadow from last seaon, Ba i wont ever give you a second thought, you can feed your whole village now!?!? Yea right!!!!!!

  • 77 Hettoon // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:34 PM

big problem as I see it, players aren’t really bothered. they work their backsides off last year finish 5th, thinking add 3 good players we are top 5 again challenging. instead we don’t really improve team, players think ‘wtf’, why should we graft we still get paid the same. you can see with body language. some are bothered, some had fight today, but others just seem to accept the mistakes, the attitude when they lose possession

  • 78 ToonDownSouth // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:34 PM

    boater

Got to disagree there. For their goal Williamson got sucked out wide, then lost his mark (Jelavic) who picked up the ball, then having got back into the penalty area failed to do anything in the way of preventing the ball from wizzing past his feet.

Santon could have done better as well – ball watching catches him out every single game – but for once I don’t think it’s just a case of picking on Williamson.

  • 79 Mister Tuff // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:35 PM

The fact that the game plan was not changed due to the sudden unavailability of Ba as they had practiced all week assuming Ba was going to be there is a crock. These guys are professional footballers who should be able to adapt/change the game plan after ten minutes instruction at the most. I’m afraid I think the reluctance to change was more to do with Parsnip’s mentality rather than the inabilities of the players to quickly adapt. This is a very worrying sign for the future.

  • 80 Hettoon // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:36 PM

    3 stages in football
    when we have the ball
when we don’t have the ball
    and when possession changes

  • 81 stretchintoon // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:36 PM

in the summer there were reports of tiote going for 20 mill, hahaha,he aint worth 1 mill,he’s on the same par as williamson, the mans a liability (ive said this for ages) he cant pass, cant tackle, never scores (well once against arsenal) & has yet again picked up another yellow card, then he sods off to the acon…get rid asap

  • 82 Williamson is Bramble in disguise // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:37 PM

The few positives from today – cisse, sammy, marveux, and ranger. That is it. Anyone who thinks Taylor, Cabaye and Benny wont make a difference is mad, theyre easily our best players.

  • 83 davis_toons // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:37 PM

i believe 1 single signing of Debuchy, cant help much with the Defence. He is only an upgrade of Simpson thats abt it.

We needed a Stronger and Taller CD that can Marked bigger players, and Clear Headers, cant always depends on Krul, the CD got to do its Job.

  • 84 Ketsbaia9 // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:37 PM

Ameobi should’ve put away that ball from Marveaux. Marveaux was unlucky with his shot.

We’ve got better players than Everton, we are just not playing as a team and need to make 5/6 new signings.

  • 85 brogston // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:37 PM

The Sky Sports formation graphic may not have fully reflected the way Pardew actually sets the side up and forget not putting Cisse up front in ideal circumstances and playing a fantastic goal poacher who has never ever made an assist for us on the right wing …the man still plays Shola Ameobi in the Premier League. Shola’s goalscoring record is just awful and he has never proved himself in the Black and White jersey. I’m f sick of seeing him playing for Newcastle United because has never been and never will be good enough. We need 1 new striker?? No we need two. 1 to play and 1 to replace that idiot on the bench. Although his brother looked half decent for a change tonight.

  • 86 Tsunki // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:42 PM

First ketsy @42 – more quality there. Keep it coming it kinda distracts.

This blog has been weird for a while now but because its at the end of a long winless run, an unsurprising defeat to Everton, a very good side we struggle with at the best of times, with a horribly depleted team everybody just seems to go hysterically crazy. Its plain to see that there are enough dire teams below us to cushion relegation, and that we can string wins against the mediocre teams we will be facing in the run in, when our injured regulars will be returning.

Sacking the manager, never supporting NUFC again, blaming Gutierrez (!) Ba leaving (the mercenary swine how dare he etc etc) Williamson (for being born how dare he etc etc), The Bee Gees and Green Belt Regulations around Stratfield Turgis is a complete and utter tosh. After days like these I close my eyes and see a field of those giant inflatable wavy-arm guys.

Roll on February, like I said.

  • 87 Ari Gold // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:43 PM

From top to bottom, this club is in an absolute farcical state. An owner with seemingly content with achieveing minimal sucess at bare minimum expenditure. A managing director incapable of understanding the intricacies of a football club. A manager who has proven himself to be out of his depth, particularly in regards to the tatctical and man management aspects of his role. Last but certainly not least, a group of players who have shown little of the skill and fight that many believe them to possess.

A reciepe for disaster, as this season has proven.

  • 88 Eddie // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:45 PM

What’s hysterical about sacking an under-performing manager?

  • 89 stretchintoon // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:46 PM

@ketsbaia,no we havent got better players than everton if we had we would be where we are in the table & everton would’nt be where they are..Duurr,has it not come to your attension that we have lost 9 out of our last 11 games…Duurrr

  • 90 davis_toons // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:49 PM

    Parsnip’s mentality ?
    Parshit..Parcrap

…Where’s his interview, what he got to say this time.

AP: I though we did well for the 1st 30mins and it was a unbelievable freekick that got them equalise, I though that was the turning point.

In the 2nd period, I have decided that enough is enough, we decided to change to long ball, i took off Obtan and instruct Bigi to pump as much as he can up front to break down Everton defence, but it was not to be and we got counter and they score a goal.

Our players are still coming back and its positive. We will forward to the next game.

(AP thoughts: ….Damn it! Should have played Long ball all the way from the start.)

  • 91 Toonacious T // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:50 PM

Beattie25- agree on the leadership issue and can’t believe how poor Colo’s form has got but dunno how much of that is down to partnering Willo but he is the captain and needs to lead. Tiote was brutal and why he was kept on for 79 mins is beyond me. Sakho coming to SJP? Unfortunately, I can’t see it. We were a much more attractive prospect in the summer. It’s going to be a tough sell now!

  • 92 Eddie // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:54 PM

Never mind Sakho, what about Colo? I’d love to get him back.

  • 93 stretchintoon // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:56 PM

Cant wait for the day Pardew gets the boot,he’s f*%king clueless,he’s always been shite (charlton) & he’s getting no better and as for the owner he handed him an 8 year contract..WTF is all that about…the blind leading the blind..

  • 94 stretchintoon // Jan 2, 2013 at 10:59 PM

  • 96 irishtoon999 // Jan 2, 2013 at 11:01 PM

Some one tell me where the light at the end of the tunnel is?? we’re in some mess, the way I see it the players raised their game for the manu and gunners game, but it did not look like there was a plan, and again tonite they tried different things, it looked like the Manager was AWOL.. im worried we will struggle to beat anyone..

  • 97 Toonacious T // Jan 2, 2013 at 11:02 PM

Tsunki- that would all make perfect sense if we were beating the so called mediocre yeams we were playing when we had HBA and Cabaye in the team, but we weren’t. We have needed a top CB with a good injury record for 2 years or more now, we must buy such a player in the notoriously difficult January window with a notoriously tight fisted owner. If we don’t buy an experienced quality CB this window it will be seriously hairy in a couple of months imo. Also, what is the point in having players like HBA, Cabs, Marv, if your back line are just going to bypass them with hoofball?

  • 98 sticklebricks // Jan 2, 2013 at 11:02 PM

    @kevymartins – 67 – Cisse woulda been offside I think..?

  • 99 West Lancs Geordie // Jan 2, 2013 at 11:03 PM

Let’s face it it doesn’t matter who is the manager. MA is pulling all the strings including the puppet strings & the purse strings. The one player who could have changed things was left on the bench – young Fergie. He could have put in telling crosses for Cisse & Shola. but our No.9 has to play up top. I never saw Big Al or KK playing right wing back. Ridiculous!

  • 100 Krul to be Kind // Jan 2, 2013 at 11:04 PM

The Bigi for Obertan sub beat me, I called it a day after that, first time I’ve switched off mid game, chasing a game and he takes the fastest player on the pitch off for a DM, I like bigi, but he should have been a straight swap for tiote early 2nd half imo

  • 101 Krul to be Kind // Jan 2, 2013 at 11:09 PM

Anita looks consistent now, his sharp quick passing on the deck back and forth, drawing players out was a joy at times but he needs better runners to feed, those runners can be in the shape of our current players who need coached on off the ball movement (which is terribly poor by the wingers) although I think Obertan has improved, I do expect him to come good at some point, there is definitely a player in there

  • 102 West Lancs Geordie // Jan 2, 2013 at 11:11 PM

How many years TT? What about Boumsong, Helder & Marcelino to name just three clowns. Now we have Willo the weak & Saylor the crock. If we all can see what we need why arn’t Puppet & Moneybags seeing it? We’ll probably get some has been in on loan like we did with Sol Campbell or Mariappa (thank god Reading beat us to him. We are also looking at Maiga who can’t get in the West Ham squad so what good will he be to us. He may as well sign Ashley Cole & Lamps for 6 months wages if they kept us up – money well spent. BUT we need quality CBs!!!!!

  • 103 Munster Mag // Jan 2, 2013 at 11:16 PM

Stevie11012 or whatever, who are the 9 players out injured????????? People need to wake up and do does MA. Pardew hasnt a clue. He has some lovely players and cannot get them to play. He walked into a lovely job uncontested. Its a disgrace and all the happy clappies need to fess up and say they got the owner and the manager wrong.

  • 104 irishtoon999 // Jan 2, 2013 at 11:23 PM

Ya can blame the owner all ya want, but its the hopeless managers fault all day long!! Fergie has to deal with dodgey owners but he still aets up his team properly.. AP is a joke, and MA wont risk relegation to keep his mate in a job, if we lose the next one, AP is a goner (hopefully)

  • 105 ITUNDERASHELL // Jan 3, 2013 at 12:26 AM

How much money will Ashley lose if we get relegated and how much will the club generate next season if we stay up?
So why not invest it in players now and play real football.
If you want to play real modern day football you will also need a manager who believes in the project.
