An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

Comment #5Let me re-post this if you haven’t seen it already,
@coccolini Not Pardwhos fault? Are you kidding me? So you saying its not him that decides who plays, what formation, what tactics, hoof ball or ground ball, last 5 minutes and sub on, poor tactical subs. ITS THE MANAGERS fault, ALLOT OF FANS ARE WORKING HARD TO GET PAID AND WATCH THE CLUB THAT THEY LOVE SO NO ONE HAS AN EXCUSE TO SAY ITS NOT THE MANAGERS FAULT CAUSE IT OBVIOUSLY IS. IF WE HAD DAVID MOYES YOU WOULD STILL SAY THE SAME THING? I dont think so.
The owner has to play a big part on it cause I see Pardew as a manager but without powers to get anyone in, its upto the board and owner who we bring in. But a manager is what keeps the team together, the spirit the tactics, Everything, once the team is not with the manager then it will cause huge chaos and will look like the mess we are in atm.

Comment #10Does it really matter who the mom is.
I wonder what would be the right time to panic. Consider this we have 17 games left and to track the 40 barrier we need another 20 points. going by our form i’m skeptical.
Before it used to be we never won after gng behind. More even if we take the lead its the same bs.

Comment #12Tiote has given away vital balls far too much of late, the booking he got was fully deserved, why even put pressure on Fellaini when bigi had it covered?
We were poor tonight after the first 30, not fatigue or any other excuse, too many tactical variants, these are footballers he is working with not rocket scientists, half the team arent on the same page with too many tactical changes being made in game, last season we kept it simple, this season we are changing too much and putting too much emphasis on interchanging, this works when you have the players for it but unfortunately we currently don’t when you are shoving square pegs into round holes.
I respect Pardew and defend him when I think right but he is pushing me into the losing patience category of fan!

Comment #13Unbelieveable. Can the people who supported Pardew please now put their hands up and say ” I was wrong” . I for one thought he was a good manager ( last season ) but he is truly awful. And incidentally I have been telling you mugs that Santon cant defend since he arrived and he is showing that at least i know how to spot a player, unlike a manager. I was hoodwinked. Pardew was chosen WITHOUT INTERVIEW BECAUSE HE IS A GAMBLING CLIENT OF MA’s CASINO. Shocker. I feel sorry for all the quality players he has duped with his slick cockneye rubbish – eg Anita and Cabaye. His substitutons were inept and he has tactically NO IDEA. Applause to Catchy and Toonbano for being so correct. Ibiza mate, time to own up, like me.

Comment #15Voted Marveaux as he showed some nice close control but really a futile exercise when the team is so dis-jointed. How many free kicks did we concede? Does anyone have the stats? Our tactics seemed to be hoofball to the big man up front and when they have it, foul them. This whole is it the owner or is it the manager debate is idiotic. The two are not mutually exclusive, it can be both, and it clearly is both. Many of our current players are also sub- standard. Big win for QPR puts us deep in the
brown stuff. We play some of the worst football in the PL

Comment #16And you can add Marveaux and Debuchy to that list of guys who have been duped. Pardew hasnt a clue. His substitutions tonite showed it, and he probably caved in to Ameobi and stuck Cisse on the wing. The club is in massive trouble long term if we go down, and Cabaye wont make any difference. This manager is the wrong man for these players. Thats why I’ve always wondered who is in charge of purchasing. I dont think the managers long ball style is matched by the players he has bought, so who makes the player purchasing choices?????

Comment #21Why isn’t the question who was NUFC’s worst player you’d get a shedload of votes but probably Willo the Weak would win it every match. He’s like a frightened rabbit in car headlights. Defeats at Wigan & Aston Villa will see us down. WE knew Ba was going Jan 1st so why no replacement before hand. Has anyone seen Debuchy at Newcastle Airport on way back to France? It’s two centre backs at least we need & a f….ing load of luck to stay up. Simmo will be off to Stoke – good riddance many will say but all the time we are weekening the squad. The board will sell any decent players at the end of the season & sail off into the sunshine with the cash. SHITE! NO FIGHT & CHASING SHADOWS!

Comment #24Before we start slagging off all the players, the lads put a decent shift in against a very effective and organised team.We were good in parts but confidence is transparently thin.Got nothing off the ref but thats not the reason for the loss.We had 2 really good chances to 2-0 and another from Shola in the second. What a chance for 2-2 if Santon had a left foot and squared to Cisse. With a lack of confidence composure goes and wrong choices made for the final ball.Williamsons position behind Coloccini for the 2nd goal was wrong – he should have cut the cross out.Small margins but thats what wins games – we need some luck from somewhere.
Everything through Fellini – lots of long ball and very hard to play against
Final moan, Pardew was too quick to throw a load of forwards on and go long ball – it stopped us building up any pressure and palyed to Evertons strengths

Comment #26So we paid £10M for Cisse to play right wing back did we? Why was the best crosser of a ball (at the club) young Fergie not brought on or even started.? MA may just use up the rest of the Ba money by paying Pardew off tomorrow.

Comment #28The last 10 were very poor and a big part of first half. Still think we had enough to win this game. Fail to see how non of our chances went in, and NO, it was not only poor performance, Perch, Cisse, Santon and Obertan all had chances that could have resulted.
Marveaux and Anita are class. Obertan very good today, why he took him off is anybodys’ guess.

Comment #29#23 sure we’ve been putting decent shifts only to loose 11 of the last 13 games. thats some decent shift or should I say shit.
Last30 min were hoooof ball at its best. Ffs football is about passing. Well what can you do if you have a bs guy as pardew.

Comment #30We looked a physically and mentally tired team. I feel sorry for Colocini. Neither Williamson, perch or Tiote were anywhere near the required standard and Santon is still not good enough defensively. So if the evidence were not self evidently against me I would say collicini must be tearing his hair out : )

Comment #32Where are all you bloggers who thought we would finish 6th or 8th a couple of days ago. I’ll be over the moon with 17th. Don’t bother quoting players we are after as that puts £5M on the price tag. MA needs to speculate to accumulate spend £20M on quality to save Premiership future & sinking into oblivion. At least we’ve a chance of winning something in the Championship never win nowt in Prem along with probably 12 /13 other clubs.

i agree with you plus why would any striker want to come to the club with the way pardew is making the team play. remy loool he has got to be out of his mind. pardew blames injuries are injuries the reason why half the team cant pass the ball. if we need cabaye and arfa for all our games we have some issues. and yes football is about passing seen better football in the conference.

Comment #34We need to sack Pardew. Simple as that. Honestly, we have the talent, but the wrong coach. And as I said earlier and all last season and this season, Santon cannot defend. Sadly, I thought Pardew could manage, but he cant. And it annoys the hell out of me that he walked UNCONTESTED into such a good managerial job.

Comment #35Marveux for me. The interplay between him and Anita were quality at times but Tiote was a massive let down! AGAIN! Least we had few clear cut chances: Shola should have slotted one and Santon should have passed it across to Cissie!!
Hopefully Cabay, Taylor and HBA are back for the Norwich game, add debuchy and we should look a lot better!!
4-2-3-1: Krul, Debuchy, Colo, Taylor, Santon, Anita, Bigi/Guti, HBA, Cabay, Marv/Ober, Cissie.
A lot more ball payers! Hopefully this will stop all that stupid hoofball play!!! I seriously question pardews choice of subs. e.g like tonight, obert for bigi? defensive mid for winger/attacking player!!!

Comment #37It doesn’t really matter who is the manager. MA is pulling all the strings. i.e both the puppet strings & the purse strings. If he doesn’t abandon his sell one buy one strategy & start ADDING quality to the squad were f….d! We can’t just hope the walkin wounded will be back soon to wave their magic wands. Saylor & Benny are injury prone & any matches we have them must be considered a bonus. Ship out the shite – we all know who they are and replace with quality. The best player in the squad who could have changed things didn’t even get on – young Shane Ferguson (for his crosses) Invaluable to Cisse if we were to play him centre forward again sometime soon.

Comment #39Pardew has to go the sooner the better or were gona be screwed. We have more than enough players to win games easily but his tatics are shite. Sack him and put Beardsley in and watch the players flourish under him we have nowt to lose because were prob going down under Pardew. Even big Al would do better!
