Chelsea have announced they have signed striker Demba Ba from Newcastle United on a three-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee.
Demba Ba – signs for Chelsea
The 27-year-old has scored 13 league goals for the Magpies this season and in 58 games in all competitions he scored 29 goals – one goal per every two games.
We thank Demba Ba for his short 18 months at the club, where he helped us to 5th place in the league table last season, and he has scored 13 of our 27 league goals this season.
We expected the announcement before 12 noon today so he can play for Chelsea at Southampton tomorrow in the FA Cup 3rd round tie.
Ba will wear the number 29 shirt and could make his first return to St. James’ Park on Saturday, 2nd February in our home game with the Blues.
That should be interesting.
Comments welcome.

…to quote The Blue Van:
‘They say the devil is among us
He’s looking for a friend
So buy yourself forgiveness
If your heart is full of sin’
Yo…someone mentioned the three stooges plus the silver supremo thought it would be a good idea to let Debuchy travel back to France to say his goodbyes..we didn’t need him anyway. Maybe we should buy Remy and let him stay in France as well 🙂 lol

Noulan Roux, Lilles forward, said Debuchy would return to them during the weekend to say his goodbyes to teammates and friends. That’s quoted.
Seems he’ll be back in Newcastle sunday evening.
(Hopefully guiding Remy to the stadium for his medical) lol.

So he’s not playing in our game so he can say bye to his mates? Hope he’s not too popular then or Tiote might be back before him
