If we had to point out people who best define those people with a complete lack of class and ethics – then Demba Ba’s agents would be near the top of the list – no – let’s rephrase that – they would be top of our list.
Demba Ba – announcement soon of his Chelsea signing soon
It seems that Demba Ba passed a full medical yesterday and has agreed terms on a £70K/week deal, but the transfer has been delayed because three of his so-called agents have been haggling over how the £2M agents fees is to be split.
Chelsea have met the £7M release clause in his Newcastle contract (note to Newcastle – never put this stuff in a contract ever again – please), and Demba Ba agreed terms, and seems to have passed his medical, but still no official news from Chelsea, but it needs to be announced before 12 noon today, since that will make him eligible to play tomorrow for Chelsea at Southampton.
We expect the announcement of Ba’s transfer very soon, but for our club and Newcastle fans, we have to forget about this player – and the lads that are left at the club will hopefully fight like crazy to get us away from the relegation zone – as the first step.
When good players leave Newcastle, we’ve always thought the best way to think about ii is if they want to leave – so be it.
We only want players at the club who are proud to wear the shirt, and if they want to leave for big money elsewhere – the sooner they leave the better.
Demba Ba was great for Newcastle in the eighteen months he was at the club – and we thank him for his 29 goals – – but the way he left us puts a stain on his character.
That’s our opinion, whatever Alan Pardew says to the contrary.
Howay the Lads!!
Note: We are trying to help out one of our readers Michael McMullen of Northumbria University, , who is doing some studies on the sponsors of the Europa league – so if you can fill out his survey please do.

Comment #8Bye then Demba! Transfers like this always rile me. Lets hope its not like when we sold Carroll and signed no-one. A replacement is needed!

Comment #13Signed on a free, 29 goals in two seasons. That’s not bad business. The clause was a mistake but clearly one of the only reasons we got him. That knee could still prove to be bad and at times he was too selfish in front of goal. Nonetheless, thanks Demba you were awesome while you were here but you need better advisors and i hope the Chelski bench has heating in it, you’ll be sitting there a lot. No one is bigger than the team.

Comment #18See the Times are saying OM have accepted Toon bid of £9.75 million for Remy. -unfortunately story is not attributable to any sources. So make of it what you will. ( For what its worth I think there is a damn good chance of him being signed. Great prospect (if he regains his form)

Comment #21Stomach turning picture of him in Chelsea gear but like as has been said – thank you, and we move on !!!
Remy will solve many many problems if we can wrap a deal up for him. So many sources and websites stating ‘advanced talks’ ! I hope there’s truth in this and not just a huge case of bandwagon jumping!

Comment #25Great to see Debuchy in but will miss the goals from Demba without which we would only have 9 points this season. He has been a great signing for us and wish hin all the best.

Comment #30On his Debut-chy, Matieu took the Papiss despite the fact that there were Gael force winds but still seem seemed to play Marveauxlously. He had Arfa chance at goal, but the ball swept closely Oba the cross-bar. What can I say…It’s a Krul World!

Comment #33Can’t fault the lad on the pitch so lets not be bitter, Ed.
As the Tony Soprano says ‘Its just business’.
Same goes for the usual slavver about, ‘Great to be a a side winning trophies, back in London etc. etc.’ Tomorrow’s chips will be in them quotes. Bye bye Demba.
Hello Deb. – welcome to the Toon!

Comment #34Goodbye and good luck Demba Ba. I’m not bothered anymore about this guy, okay he scored lots of goals this season, but I’m sure that if Cissé was played as a central striker he would have scored the same amount of goals. I also think a lot of our players will be relieved to see him go. Watch how they celebrate the Cissé goal last Wednesday and how Cissé react himself. We will climb the table no matter what.
