Newcastle Being Linked With PSG Striker

Newcastle are currently in negotiations with Marseilles over their striker Loic Remy, and while he is obviously Newcastle’s number one choice in this transfer window,, we don’t always get our first choice to Newcastle.

Guillaume Hoarau

 Guillaume Hoarau – 28 year-old PSG striker

That happened in the summer when we went after Dutch International Luuk de Jong big time, but he ended up joining Borussia Mönchengladbach, so we have to wonder who the back up targets are.

One is said to be former target Modibo Maiga at West Ham, but why would Newcastle go after this lad, when he’s been less than impressive for West Ham and has already failed a medical at Newcastle.

There was a report a couple of days ago that Newcastle could be interested in Guillaume Hoarau, the PSG striker, who has played 5 times for france and joined the Paris club from Le Havre in 2008.

This news could have been generated because the striker is available,  since he has moved down the pecking order at PSG since the arrival of  Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the club.

But he’s 28 years-old and doesn’t fit the profile of players Newcastle would like to bring into the club, and there’s even news today that Martin O’Neill of Sunderland is after the striker.

It’s not surprising that Newcastle may have been linked with this striker, but we don’t think there’s any truth in the story.

Maybe Sunderland will land him soon?

Comments welcome.

Too similar to Ba for me and we already know Ba&Cisse don’t work on the pitch together…

Much rather we were after Gameiroooo than this lad or Remy.

Why do people want Debuchy to play against Brighton ffs!!!! What if he gets injured we need to concentrate on the league forget the FA cup and although we got knocked out last year i would expect the likes of Perch, willo Tav and even streete to be able to cope. If they cant they dont deserve to be at the club.

Here we go again!!! I dont expect signing any strikers before the norwich game.. It could go too the wire.. That means: final day of the transfer window.. We are sitting at the computer and tv all day.. And we end up with ameobi and ranger as strikers.. For some reason Ashley dont have any money??? Why do u buy stakes in Rangers for then, u fat ……………….. Please just buy players and we need them NOW….!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This gadgie is too old for us, the only reason we still got Debuchey at 27 is because we’ve been tailing him for 2 years & was 25 when we started, we’ll not go for Snieder either, no matter what some silly websites are posting, I actually think we’ve got money to buy certain players & if we spend more on a striker, may struggle to get in a CB, so we’re limited to say £8m-£10m for a striker & another £3m – £5m for a CB but no more than that or we’ll not get one in.

I agree with u Tudor I think that could be it like! If these so called “remy negotiations” go tits up, if any truth at all,I think fat boy will not try for anyone else. After all he has shown us he is willing to take gamble on no signings. Makes me wonder like! We’ve signed debuchy for 5.5 million and sold demba ba for 7 so that should leave us in profit by 1.5 million!!! I just don’t understand how a billionaire is finding it difficult to spend 20 million! Especially when u look at how much he has actually spent on transfers since he bought the club. It’s a disgrace! We should worry if other teams below us invest in their Squads. I’m sure qpr will be busy in market again so will the scum and even southampton I think will spend. This has to be a major concern!

No Collo or Cisse tomorrow both injured?????
that doesn’t look good to me.Is he resting them because we are not getting a striker nor defender in.All his bollocks yet again about injuries etc.Your the manager pardew your responsible to get a bigger squad, go and kick ashley’s door in till you get it.All we hear is more bollocks from you.Tell us how it is regarding him and save face. The only injury I want to hear about is you getting tonsilitis so we don’t have to listen to your bollocks man.Grow some cojones at least we will respect you more.Every body and their granny knew we had a small squad yet still nothing done about it.How come we cant get a CB till you see how much a striker is going to cost.I don’t get it.Stop being the fall guy for him.

People need to get real, Ashley has made mistakes, some huge ones but in the last 18/24 month he has really started to settle down. The club was laden with debt before he took over. That’s well under control now huge wages are becoming a thing of the past. Ba wanted the clause in his contract when we signed him, the club were getting him for free so it wasn’t a bad idea to let him have it, he’s scored goals and helped us get in other players (Cisse) would like to see us get Remy and Douglas and think with others come back to fitness we will be fine, no Europe next season and we will be comfortable top 8 again season after this.

how retarded is the fact that since 2008/09 season our total transfer spending is -(minus) 47.5 mill…. that is without counting demba ba… fat ashley should atleast give half of this to spend this month… had he done that in the summer, we’d have gotten all of our targets!!!

And since that time, we’ve reduced the debt, and improved the side, gotten rid of the dead wood. Yes we’re having a bad spell at the moment but genuinely believe they’ve realised there mistakes and will look to bring players in this window.
