Good News – Another Magpie Back In A Month

Some top Newcastle players are on their way back from injury, and since our terrible streak of 9 losses in the last 11 league games, it’s probably a good thing that we only have three Premier League games this month and three next month – and that will give time for some of our players, like Steven Taylor and Yohan Cabaye, to get back into the side.

Dan Gosling – back in a month from his knee injury

And more good news today that Dan Gosling, who has been out with a knee injury since last October, could be returning in about four weeks – according to Newcastle manager Alan Pardew.

This is what Alan said in the local press today:

“Dan is starting to run around and I don’t think he is too far away.” “Him and Cabaye are working together.” “He is behind Cabaye and Steven Taylor, but I would probably suggest three or four weeks for him. He had a terrible tackle that night.”

“Dan, Haris and Ryan Taylor are all players that would be playing now in the last four or five games, for sure.” “But that’s non-reported that our underbelly has been affected apart from Ben Arfa and Cabaye.”

Ryan Taylor has a serious anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, and we don’t think we’ll see him back this season, and it would be much better to give the Liverpudlian extra recovery time – and then he’ll be fit and ready to go in pre-season.

Dan Gosling joined Newcastle from Everton suffering from an ACL injury, and since he arrived eighteen months ago, he’s hardly had good luck with injuries – but when he returns – he can help to get the job done for Newcastle, and get us up that league table.

Still think he’d have got some playing time recently, when you look at who we’ve had available to come on as a sub. Ranger against Everton? That smacks of desparation. Gosling might have provided an extra body in midfield, with Cisse up front. Unfortunately we simply have no experience on the bench right now.

I think today we’ll se quite a few first teamers out there, not from choice but because we dont have enough players fit for a second eleven right now.

would anyone be against Tom Huddlestone signing for us?. We haven’t been linked with him, but at 3mill he could be a decent aquisition for the squad. He is also french 🙂

apologies re -post from previous thread.
Having Debuchy here will have an influence on Cabaye over the next couple of years. We’ve heard the so called speculation about Cabayes’ head been turned by interest in the summer from Man U.
Having his best mate here now should have the effect that he’ll want to stay here -and not desert his pal if an offer comes in.
Ref the previous post – there is no way that Remy will be tempted by more pieces of silver from the Chicken Farmers -he is trying to get his careeer/form back on track -even he will appreciate the high odds that the Chicken Farmers will be relegated. Non starter for me – I can already visualise him in a Toon strip. He’s in the bag.

Ask him next time you see him. Sure he wouldn’t mind. Or when you see him running past take a sneaky photo and post it on here for us to identify.

HBA is left footed, i’d move him to the left, u’d have pristine quality with HBA and Remy supporting Cisse then.
Best front three on the isles.

Today will be a mixture I would suspect. I think we all would love to see Campbell play, along with a few other kids, but with some experience in there. Bigi and Anita, Marv and Obertan may feature. Willo and Perch will I would think. Then the likes of Sammy, Tav, Fergie and I am half expecting Ranger to play.

The 2 we all wanna see is Streete and Campbell though.

This is the very last thing I say about the Demba Ba affair as he is gone and things move on, but there seems to be a lot of different opinions on greed, loyalty and ambition, for starters nobody can blame him for moving to the European champions for double wages but as for this gentlemen mercenary I don’t think so, I think it’s fairly common knowledge (or is it) that Demba Ba insisted on a more central role or he would be off, he got his central role completely disrupted the team while putting himself in the shop window and then fu(#ed of anyway, that in my book is a bit naughty.

@Jayden you are mistaken.. HBA is better on the left as it allows him to cut inside and shoot with his left. Did you not watch the Fulham match.. he was started on the left and looked ineffectual, yet was back to his best when put back on the right.

On topic, I really don’t care if Gosling never pulls on a black and white shirt again, how old is he now and he’s still being talked about as a prospect, should have got shot of him and his wages and offered Guthrie a few more quid.

Colin reckons weve got delegates in France tying up the Remy deal and we’re talking to Toulose regarding Sissokho also a defender in on the agenda

So basically we’re down in Wales tying up deals for Ashley Williams and Danny Graham

    Dannyo,
Not only that I would actually be disappointed if we brought in another midfielder unless we brought in a top class winger, but as you say it’s not going to happen we just have to hope that Mashley sees sense and brings in a CB and a striker, an added bonus would be those two Burnley lads transfer sage reckons were spotted in Newcastle.

Ben 10 is far more of a threat on the right hand side due to his ability to cut inside with that ledt foot so personally id keep him where he is if we get sissokho id push cabaye into the “hole” behind Cisse if pardew ever grows a pair and plays him where he is most effective the bumder!
