There is a report on Spanish site Futbol today, that suggests Newcastle may be interested in Sevilla’s 27 year-old Spanish International striker Alvaro Negredo.
Alvero Negredo – Sevilla’s 27 year-old Spanish striker
This is a translation of what Futbol had to say about the Sevilla striker today:
“The Sevilla President Jose Maria del Nido has traveled Thursday to London via Madrid, and would like to negotiate the sale of Alvaro Negredo. However, official sources say Sevilla’s travel is by private means and several English clubs have been interested in the Vallecano striker in recent weeks and Del Nido himself undertook to reveal a few days ago an offer of €14M (about £11.5M), without specifying which club.”
“Newcastle, who just sold Demba Ba, and Arsenal are two top clubs in need of a striker with Negredo’s credentials, and also have the money to buy him. However, Tottenham could also be in the bidding, but Sevilla point out that no player negotiates the sale.”
“Yesterday, the 27 year-old striker was interviewed by UEFA, and he said he would not mind playing in England, and that “the cycles are finished.” Sevilla FC must sell soon to the tune of some €16M to balance their books for the season.”
The Madrid-born 6’1″ striker was at Real Madrid from 2005 through 2007, and Negredo joined Sevilla from Almeria in 2009, and since then he has appeared 156 times for the Spanish club with 65 goals, and he has been capped 12 times for the full Spanish side with six goals.
Negredo was included by manager Vicente del Bosque in the Spanish squad for last summer’s UEFA Euro 2012 Championships, which Spain won, and the striker played twice as a substitute against Poland and Ukraine, and also had one start against Portugal in the semifinals.
He’s obviously a very decent striker, but it’s hard to know if Newcastle are interested in this player.

We had no option, given his clause.
Regardless whether the player was good or not the clause did nothing. Think about it, had he been crap then no one would pay £1m nevermind £7m but with what has happened he was worth more. The clause did nothing to protect Newcastle.
The non excusable thing though is not bringing in a new guy, we all knew it was coming, just a matter of if not now, the summer.
We need a centre back ASAP! Nothing more would suffice, if we get Sissoko ontop I would be happy.
James Tomkins too me does not look capable of being a better player than STaylor or Colo. I would be hoping for a player who can limit STaylors games, therefore making him a worthy addition to the squad, not the stands.

Wonder if we send a contingent to Sevilla for another jolly up to see this guy.Because they aren’t doing any work that’s for sure.

Would take this guy like! Dont think it will be us, BUT if he came it would be almost certain Cisse would play wide.
Doesnt provide balance to the squad!

I looked this up on tinterweb earlier. From what I can tell, Marcelino (yep, that one) said a day or two ago that he thought negredo would do well in england. Chelsea supposedly had bid for him at 14M, and allegedly so did we, but I think that’s loblocks. Chelsea then took Ba. So apparently 1+1+1=teapot. (Marcelinho’s toon connection+alleged bids from us and chelsea + ba to chelsea = negredo to toon)
7 jesperfuglsang - captain of the lemon crew // Jan 10, 2013 at 2:27 PM
In Beatrice’s defense…if Ba left, which the club knew was a very likely scenario, then surely they should have a list of players lined up and maybe even made some inquiries – we are now hearing PEA is going nowhere (shouldn’t they have known that by now)!
And now that he is gone, a new striker should be through the door within days (not weeks which is more likely now)

This guy is a goal machine, has the same ratio as Ba pretty much, in the spanish league for a mid table team!
27 year old is a decent age for a striker! Would you turn down Van Persie who is 29? You logic is laughable!

what do you make of the Ba situation.
I see it as Ba being annoyed last year he wasn’t central as his goals dried up and he didn’t get the big money move to a big club he wanted (chelsea for money and trophies).
He then demanded to play central, to the detriment of the team, lacked the balance, some reports say it annoyed players.
Why did pardew give in and play him central….he did as Ba asked and he left anyway. If he played left side of the team we have a better balance, a better chance of points and less chance Ba will leave as nobody will pay him what he wants.
Hypothetical I know but thats my take….what do you make of it all?

12 shanghai fan // Jan 10, 2013 at 2:31 PM
@pawl – the release clause, I don’t think it was meant specifically to protect Newcastle. What it did do was allow Newcastle to negotiate lower wages, which in turn protected Newcastle if the player was injured. Ie. Ba your knee is a problem, we want to pay you less. Ok Newcastle, I will accept lower wages on the condition you give me a release clause.

20 pawl250 // Jan 10, 2013 at 2:37 PM
I think Ba out wide was a joke. I think Cisse out wide is a joke.
You either accomodate the centre with both or 1 and eithe rotate or only change them when the other lacks goals.
Ba playing wide was sensible this year, I mean I understand he got what he wanted. But lets be real, if Cisse scored 13 goals at this point would he be here now?
No one knows, had Cisse and Ba been in the AFCN would they both be returning to NUFC. Who knows?
We can only speculate that for certain Ba was scoring goals, had he not been then we would be in the relegation zone, nevermind battle.
I just think Cisse out wide and Ba out wide is a waste. But thee argument about lone striker the holy 4-2-3-1 if Ba was scoring Cisse would arguably be on the bench.
What has happened has happened I dont blame Ba, I blame the board for giving him a clause that did not benefit us in the slightest, especially at the amount it was.
Then to not give him a new contract sooner, to me suggests we gambled. A gamble that did not pay off.
I feel if Ba was given a more central role last year instead of playing wide he would have signed a new contract in the summer.
The evidence both players lack goals on the wing is plain to see. Yet playing centrally both manage to rack goals up. I have faith Cisse will score played central, but I would have liked more faith in Ba and Cisse playing central and adjusting everything behind them to accommodate it. We had 2 strikers who can score 10+ goals a season is invaluable in the game right now, instead we asked one of them to defend!
21 Williamsonsuks // Jan 10, 2013 at 2:38 PM
Enrique was great. 1 put of 4, 5 if owen is included.
22 Transfer Sage // Jan 10, 2013 at 2:38 PM
williamson sucks
I think he knew he has lost his pace which was his main style of play after the england injury.
when he first signed he had 7 goals in 10 games and looked great…he canme back from 2 injuries lasting well over a year and was in a poor team in a relegation battle
should have got stuck in but can see why he didn’t, lost his pace, came back to a bad team when he started in a good one and was totally demoralised
23 nightfa11 // Jan 10, 2013 at 2:38 PM
i think were after tomkins cos hes english..we need english players for europe.. englihs players are all overpriced..overrated..& strikers & creative midfielders cost a fortune…so defence is the only place to get a decent english players for a “normal” fee..
24 shanghai fan // Jan 10, 2013 at 2:38 PM
On PEA going nowhere I think it is jockeying on their side-because right now we are in the driving seat of negotiations for PEA. He’s the stalking horse to remy. As long as remy deal is in the pipeline, we don’t rely on Pea as our only option. The quote from the French side is probably a ploy to increased the price. Note at the end he says nothing is 100% certain- classic jockeying/negotiation tactics if you ask me. Contrary to most opinion, I think if we keep cards close to our chest and only show our hand later on in the window it is better. If we make an early bid, it gives other clubs time to come in, analyze it and out bid us. It also gives the selling club leverage on negotiating the price higher if they have received a solid bid. Think Ba situation was early because the drawing power of Chelsea helps them get the deal over the line. Just my thoughts tho…

27 pawl250 // Jan 10, 2013 at 2:42 PM
We bought Colocinni and Jonas from Spain.
The argument would be – the players who are Spanish who we bought from Spain don’t work – Enrique being the exception.
Ok thats like saying we never had a decent x until someone popped along.
It would also be like saying Fabregas being Spanish, and plays in Spain would not work at Newcastle, or Iniesta.
Its a moot argument. The guy we are looking at here is a much better player than Luque and Xisco. Proven and lethal not some reserve player.
28 Transfer Sage // Jan 10, 2013 at 2:43 PM

I think if Ba had continued his central role last year and gotten goals…always has for us when central then he would have got a better offer in the summer and gone.
In form he will get a lot of money as chelsea gave him, he wouldnt get that here and when in form he has options.
I think it worked with Ba left, it took away his goals, but he was effective out there where as cisss is nothing on the wing…and least Ba is better than him out wide (not great though).
I think the whole thing was badly managed
I’m sure the club gave him a release clause as he was going to be a stop gap til we got cisse in Jan. He played really well and then we regreted the clause. At the time i’m sure the club thought nobody would pay that and he would be a useful squad player upon the arrival of cisse.
We underestimated how good he would be for us and have paid the price.
29 pawl250 // Jan 10, 2013 at 2:46 PM
Nothing wrong with the quality of Michael Owen, anyone could see that. Even without pace he contributes goals, his movement, anticipation is first class.
He was an outright striker when he first came, got played in a number 10 role behind someone else towards the end. It worked as he had the quality to spread the play, but we lacked the goals to stay up.
Injuries stopped him becoming what we needed him to be. The replacement of Alan Shearer and his goals.
I think he may have lost interest towards the end also, but would he want to be associated with relegation, I would guess not.

36 shanghai fan // Jan 10, 2013 at 2:48 PM
Also the other difference with us buying a striker and the Ba deal is that our bid is not capped at an upper limit. Chelseas bid was capped at 7m. And therefore for them to bid early in the window makes sense. For us, unless we are 100% confident the bid will be accepted, it does not.
37 croftus5678 // Jan 10, 2013 at 2:50 PM
i think ba did not want us to play long ball and was nothing to do with wanting a big money move although with our position and the money they offered him his family ect would have been saying he would be mad to pass on that oportunity.
in his interview at chelsea he said he did not like the way we was playing towards the end (as all of us was saying)
38 nightfa11 // Jan 10, 2013 at 2:50 PM
yes..situation was badly managed..pardew wanted to persuade ba to stay by playing cisse on the wing.. now we lost ba (luckily at the start of the transfer window..not like with carroll) and also probably destroyed cisses morale & his touch in the process.. it was probably good that cabaye got injured…least pardew didnt screwed him up as well with his world class hoof ball tactics.. when cabaye fully recovers we need him to ignore pardew & starts playing like he knows..

Debuchy 5m
Mbiwa 8-9m
Douglas 2m
Remy 9-10m
Sissoko 3-4m
Thats 30m, cant see us spending that. I know Ba went gave us 5m, arguably Simpson will be giving us around 2m when he inevitably leaves.
Still thats massive investment for unproven PL players. I doubt we will spend that much 15m net would be the max. I think Mbiwa is out of our league in terms of quality, and is too overpriced. It would be a massive signing for not only now, but the future if we got him.
He would give us decent performances until the inevitable departure for double, if not more the price we pay for him.
Future best centre back in the world if you ask me.

Ba moved for two reasons…neither of which bother me.
1. Double wages…who wouldn’t. It’s not like he is a local lad, we mean as much to him as west ham or Chelsea.
2. Genuine chance to win regular trophies. Any real pro wants medals at the end of their career. This is his first chance for that
I just don’t like how his agent claimed he would leve if played wide but left anyway when played central. But I get he can’t say he wants a bigger club whilst he was here.
No hard feelings really

@31
if we sold tiote and simpson that may have been a possibility but sadly i think thats too much of us to expect ashley to put into the club i would think 15mil max would be his input with us already spending the ba money on debuchy.
i suspect only 2 more coming in and maybe a youngster or 2
but i would hope its a cb and a striker of some quality and if its a cheap buy but good quality who cares as long as he does a good job.
44 pawl250 // Jan 10, 2013 at 2:57 PM
Transfer Sage -
Surely us staying up, him out of contract was alot more attractive to people willing to look at him than being associated with relegation.
Owen would not have hid away from it, he would have wanted to prevent it. Greedy yes, but beyond that had he stayed fit, he would have been a good signing. He just didnt and therefore was a bad investment not only for the price we paid, but the cost of his weekly wage.
45 tdt // Jan 10, 2013 at 2:59 PM
Hopefully we’ll have this team ready for Saturday:
—————Krul————–
Debuchy–Colo–S.Taylor–Santon
————Anita–Jonas———–
Obertan—–Cabaye—–Marveaux
————–Cisse—————
Subs: Harper, Ferguson, Bigi, Perch, Gosling, Sa.Ameobi, Sh.Ameobi.
That’s our best team, minus HBA. Although lost of people don’t rate Jonas and Obertan, I do. Jonas has (one of, if not) the highest ‘fouled’ count in the PL, which is a massive bonus for relieving pressure on our defence. I think this is one of the reasons why we have conceded so many goals of late (plus Williamson’s lack of ability obviously).
Obertan is an outlet who gets us up the other end of the pitch quickly and instantly turns defence into attack. This is our best alternative to route-one long passes until HBA returns. Once HBA does return to the team, we have three useful wingers to fill the two wing positions in a 4-2-3-1 formation. I think this is our best set-up as we don’t have a 2nd striker good enough to play 4-4-2. Shola’s great on his day, but I don’t think he’s our solution for the starting XI.
Hopefully Debuchy and S.Taylor can fortify the back four, which I am positive will turn our season around! HWTL

he got a move to man utd off the back of relegation so not too bad.
I think he lost his passion after his injury…it stripped him of that extra pace he had and that will have meant he had to change his game.

Benteke misses some easy chances aswell. I suppose Ba did for us.
People need to think along the lines of ok we now can play 4-2-3-1 or -4-3-3 or whatever with the lone centrals striker. Do we need another one, or a striker that can play out wide on the left, and if needed central. Benteke is not that player.

This is our back up players. Now look at our team.
Centre back and wingers are really showing even more so. Shola is good enough to back up a central striker, we need a striker like Remy in a way who can play wide, and if needed central.
We are sooooooo weak beyond are starting 11. But Centre back given STaylor is injured all the time and given we heavily rely on Cabaye, Arfa and Marveaux right now for creativity we need a player like Remy. Not saying we need Remy but we need a player like……. Welbeck, Walcott, Suarez who can adopt the wide position and contribute, and if needed when Cisse isnt playing can play central.

We wont get 10-15m for Tiote, perhaps last season, arguably yes the season before.
Now we would be lucky to get 10m, if we did I was gift wrap him myself!
Way off the pace, looks over weight, his passing from coming from the dutch league getting 100% passing accuracy to what he does now, his simple passing game is lost. He loses the ball, his pace looks slower these days. He is banned, injured or on international duty.
I would sell him for anything above 10m, if not I would keep him in the hopes he is just having a bad season and may just need some confidence.
Regardless replacing him with Sissoko and then selling him would decrease his price even more so. You would have to gamble. Personally I think Sissoko coming in would be a pure back up, I mean how often did Cabaye, Tiote playing together in the past 2 seasons, perhaps a run of 10 games at the start of last season, maybe 1-2 times since?!
57 Markaccus // Jan 10, 2013 at 3:20 PM
I think we do need a proper back up for tiote. I think Bigi is going to develop into a more attacking player. He seems tricky on the ball, and seems to want to get into the box more often than tiote. He’s also very quick.

Perch – Williamson – Douglas – RTaylor

Sammy ——– Marveaux ——– Obertan
——————— Shola ———————-
Looks stronger. Douglas would no doubt start if he managed to come to speed with the PL. But until then I feel he will back up STaylor.
Sissoko may eventually win Anitas role in midfield, but Anita is so versatile he can take up fullback, and any midfield role so will no doubt play his fair share.

paw1250 No room for Santon in the team eh? Also re your first comment I think the protection came from the fact that we were only paying him 20gs a week and anopther 20 if he played. If he had of come in and done nothing we would not have been stuck paying him a fortune. You have to know that if we signed him up for five years on 60gs a week (assuming or knowing that he would be as good and reliable as he turned out to be) and he then got injured everyone would be crying saying it was ridiculous to sign a played with a dodgy knee and pay him that much. As it is we took the safe route and payed a small amount of money for what was a very good striker for us. Nothing idiotic just the give and take of a negotiation.

I just switched onto SS News and there is a story about Charles Green and Rangers not happy about the scots restructure and threatening to pull out of Scottish football, I didn’t see the whole story but reading between the lines this could be good news to us one way or the other I think!
Reasons
Firstly if rangers pull out of Scotland then sure English league is the only alternative this should mean that Ashley can’t have an interest in any more than 1 club under the same jurisdiction (as far as I know).
Clutching at straws for something positive here but if this was to happen then he would have to sell up one or the other.
(Yeah I know lads I’m clutching at straws but its a hope)
Also Marvolous was on SSN briefly talking about Remy and his relationship with him… Sounded promising, they seem to be old friends from youth levels!

no no no…we need strikers who can also play on the wing…if we sign bent for instance..its hoof ball all year long..or we will see cisse playing on the wing..wich is a waste of space, time & talent..
74 richyg01 // Jan 10, 2013 at 3:36 PM
Cabaye is on the bench for Norwich!
Alan Pardew also confirmed that Fabricio Coloccini, Papiss Cisse and Jonas Gutierrez will be making the trip to Norfolk.
75 pawl250 // Jan 10, 2013 at 3:37 PM
Actually CharlieToon
Ba was on 60k a week if he played. and it was 35k a week if he didnt.
All our wages have increased this year due to the success of last. Newer players (Cabaye, Tiote and Ba for certain) were given % rises based on perfomance levels. I suspect this will be a problem if we finish lower in the league this year. Especially to the likes of our key players.
As for Santon mate, check the team I said back up team like I would choose the likes of Williamson, Sammy, Shola in my first choice team.
76 richyg01 // Jan 10, 2013 at 3:39 PM
@72
I dont think Rangers can play in English leagues, something to do with UEFA’s rulings teams not being able to complete in cross border leagues.
77 papattack // Jan 10, 2013 at 3:40 PM
i think pardew needs to remind tiote hes a footballer first and ‘warrior’ second. he seems to have taken pardews praise of how he plays the game whole heartedly the wrong way, and as a result his football has suffered.
78 spennymoor-mag // Jan 10, 2013 at 3:40 PM
No ed its bullshite mate. We won’t get anymore players. Why on earth would a Spanish international want to come to us man. Tabloid nonsense as per! I used to get very excited about the transfer windows but not anymore. It’s shocking!!! Ashley and dirty Derek want hanging
79 Ketsbaia9 // Jan 10, 2013 at 3:40 PM
Marveaux and Remy would combine well together. Marveaux has a good goalscoring record for the French U21′s.
Signing Sissoko is a no brainer. It’s gotta be done.
We still need 2 centre backs and 3 centre forwards.
80 pawl250 // Jan 10, 2013 at 3:44 PM
TEAM FOR NORWICH
———————— Krul —————————
Debuchy – Williamson – Coloccini – Santon
————— Anita — Bigiramana —————-
Jonas ———— Marveaux ———- Ferguson
———————– Cisse ————————–
I feel Obertan lacks effort these days. Jonas/Ferguson will provide a decent cover should Debuchy/Santon when they overlap.
Anita and Bigi will provide deep creativity and work rate.
Marveaux should attempt to stay high up the pitch allowing Cisse to play off him.

84 pawl250 // Jan 10, 2013 at 3:48 PM
Like I said, give me the following
Sissoko
Douglas
Remy
I would snap your hand off! Would actually call it a successful window!
Doubt Remy and Marveaux will play in the same team unless we have injuries. Or we plan playing

I read a lot if the posts on here and some ppl are deluded mate. Ppl need to be realistic man. They mention players such as sakho, alderweild,m’bwai…. They need to stop dreaming lol. Tomkins if we lucky and maybe dj Campbell on loan
87 BelfastMagpie // Jan 10, 2013 at 3:53 PM
It’s never going to happen Rangers playing in England. They accept welsh clubs but not scottish clubs for some reason. Even if they did they would probably have to start of where Afc Wimbledon started.
88 robin // Jan 10, 2013 at 3:53 PM
Jay Bothroyd is coming in from QPR to beef the attack up!
89 pawl250 // Jan 10, 2013 at 3:54 PM
Spennymoor -
Mbiwa although I mentioned is not going to come agree, nor would Sakho given he is at PSG and can afford him sitting around on the bench should they choose.
Alderweild, despite me not mentioning him is a very realistic target. 6m I would roughly say plays in the DUTCH league. Hasnt exactly been setting the world on fire these days.
Sissoko
Douglas and
Remy are realistic although I dont think we will get Remy and have already said we will probably get:-
Sissoko
Tomkins
?
90 Oldgit1 // Jan 10, 2013 at 3:56 PM
How many players have we been linked with now. It’s doing my head in. Can’t see any coming in, it is so like the summer transfers window when we ended up with one purple player in Anita. I lost my rag the last time and I refuse to get uptight on this transfer window. The power upstairs will continue to put low bids in for potential targets so the deals will drag out and end up disappointed.. Why are we not in for Tom ince what I have read about him he sounds like a good player.
91 pawl250 // Jan 10, 2013 at 3:59 PM
If we sign Bothroyd is purely a Best type player who will wait for his turn, a back up player.
Hes not good enough, but is a back up only. Shola is getting on, Xisco is away, Ranger is arguably away too. Bothroyd really isnt that bad of a back up, arguably better than what we have.
I also think Pardew will play Jonas on the left as per usual.
—————- Anita — Tiote —————-
Arfa ————–Cabaye ———– Jonas
———————-Cisse ———————-
Would prefer Marveaux, but he can cover Arfa, Cabaye, Jonas.
Sissoko/Bigi can also cover middle 3 Anita, Tiote, Cabaye.
Tomkins has the ability to cover CB and Anita/Tiote.
This is worst case of course be we could do worse!!

I hope your right mate! We don’t deserve another window of suffering. I can’t understand the remy situation. I’ve read he is keen to join. But it’s the same shit with dumb and dumber they won’t pay a club what they want. Seriously annoys the fuk out of me. Wish I could get my hands on the pair of them. I’d try ram Derek’s head up fat boys arse
93 Krul to be Kind // Jan 10, 2013 at 4:00 PM

I don’t think doing an AFC Wimbledon would be a bad thing, they would still make serious money from merchandise in NI and Scotland and for the sake of a couple of extra years to get to the top table it could be a very good move, I’m kind of hoping so Ashley has to make a choice, I think he would see rangers as a better gravy train than Toon, IMO they are still a huge club worldwide
94 Charlie in the Gallowgate // Jan 10, 2013 at 4:01 PM
Whooo
I love all the posts/speculation of who we are going to bring in – Douglas, Sissoko, Remy, Mbiwa, Negredo etc., etc.,
Who of these would come to the TOON in the predicament we’re in.
The way I look at it – FIRST – We have GOT to win the next two games – which will make our position look a lot better to attract these players. And beat Aston Villa on the 29th when we could make a last ditch dip into the transfer window in a stronger negotiating position
95 pet man jeff man // Jan 10, 2013 at 4:01 PM
Afternoon my little blogettes. Think this is second comment I’ve ever made, but a long time reader.
I’ve just received a text msg from a mate of mine who’s dad used to be on the board of a lower division club…
He reckons we’re very close to signing Sissoko.
I’m not claiming to be ITK, just sharing what I’ve heard (although if it turns out to be true, you heard it here first!)
Just bracing myself for the barrage of abuse which is about to come my way…
96 pawl250 // Jan 10, 2013 at 4:03 PM
Tom Ince is an average player. As per usual Liverpool look like muppets! Blackpool paid buttons under 1m for him and Liverpool after a year and half are running back with 6m according to last report I heard.
Hes not worth 6m, hes average player, playing in a average league. Playing in PL I dont think he will be as effective. PASS.
Saggy Harry is after M’vila for 6m, this is a bargain! Would take him tomorrow, even send Gosling the other way, hopefully they will be fooled!
97 p // Jan 10, 2013 at 4:06 PM
It’s already been a good transfer window.
$5m for the French international right back on a 5 year contract is pretty bloody good (on paper) if you ask me.
Anymore would be a bonus considering the predicament we are in.
I personally would try to get Lescott on loan as the next priority and then worry about a forward. We at least have some options there for the rest of the season – Cisse, Campbell, even HBA

ner your missing the lad from westham that wants to join us that failed a medical last season.
my bets on we sign a cb mbiwa or douglas and a striker we would not think is a good choice but he will be half decent when he starts playing for us.
sissoko signing will be a huge step forward imo no matter what his price he will complete the midfield and like said before could be great business in giving us the option to cash in on tiote.
my team would be .
debuchy–mbiwa–collo–santon

There is no connection there at all. His dad isn’t even involved in the game anymore, he just hears things every so often.
The last bit of news I heard through him was when Ashley Young went to man utd.
As I said don’t get your hopes up too much, if we actually are after him I’m sure you’ll hear officially fairly soon.

Negredo is one if the least likely stories so far. I see this place is still full of Fifa and Manager fans calling out for the signing of untested youngsters they’ve never seen play or full internationals that wouldn’t even entertain the idea of coming to Newcastle.
A good window for us will be signing a CB better than Williamson and Taylor and an attacker better than all bar Cisse. Anything worse will be a failure, anything better is an unrealistic dream.

As for your line up Obertan over Ben Arfa? Think you need to go back to the drawing board lol

I want
Sissoko

Douglas.

in fairness on the all side of it only ba going (goals he’s scored to games won) and debuchy in (goals conceeded from mistakes that should have been solved in the rb possition) i think we are close to breaking even.
a cb to rule out all those stupid mistakes in defence and point wise we should do a lot better.
also is it just me or is anyone else getting annoyed with the fact that no one can head a ball apart from ameobi from corners and free kicks (which is where i think remy would/would have been a huge success.

Rangers would be able to play in the english league, they would have to apply and think be voted in but look at swansea and cardiff
The other issue would be what league they came into as it would mean one team dropping to non league and i cant see that going over too well!
Also is it actually ashley or spirts direct who has a share in rangers because surely if its ashley he’d have to sell pretty sure you cant have shares in 2 clubs in the same country?

See the Scum are trying to get Sissoko for 3,5Mil, if reports are true?
Reported we are going for Orka, Organ or Orko? Never heard of him!
Its looking increasingly likely that we are going to be left with only one signing and that was Debuchy!
Tompkins? well i,m not sure if he would be a good signing but if we keep, playing Williamson then we will continue to Lose because he is just not good enough! Why is Fat Sam so willing too sell him and what would he cost us in wages?
If the Scum bid 3,5Mil for Sisssoko and get him while all sorts of rumours are on here about a host of other named players? What the f……. is going on? Do we actually know who exactly we are going for?
We chased Debuchy and Luuk de Jong for weeks in the summer, and now we are doing exactly the same with Remy and Marseilles ?
We should just outbid the Scum for Sissoko and pay 5Mil for this Orka bloke too!
As for the Spanjard above, he is just another name in the endless list of names appearing on here every day!
