Reports That Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa Close To Newcastle Move

There are reports in France today that Montpelier defender and captain Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa is close to a move to Newcastle United.

Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa – signing for Newcastle

The report is on the le10Sport site and the report suggests that the French International will soon join Newcastle for €8M, which is around £6.5M – and that’s a good price for such a good player.

They even report his wages as €3.8M, which is around £3.1M, and it’s unusual to report such detailed information on a transfer – but those wages are fantastic.

The Montpelier captain has been on Newcastle’s radar for more than a year now, and the 23 year-old can play anywhere across the back-line, although he usually plays at center-back for Montpelier.

And there was a lot of activity on Twitter last night that the lad was close to a move to Newcastle, but he has also said in the past he would like to join Manchester United, although he has talked about Newcastle being a great club.

There is no word on how he thinks of bottom of the league QPR.

Yanga-Mbiwa would be a great signing for Newcastle and his versatility along the back line could see him playing a lot of games for Newcastle.

Of course Newcastle fans will not be convinced until he signs along the dotted line, but if we can acquire this lad soon, and keep Colo at the club through the end of the season things will be looking up for Newcastle, and then we need to get a top striker into the club.

Montpelier is the only club he has ever played for and he was born in Bangui, in the Central African Republic.

He has three full French caps and has played in the last six seasons for Montpelier, and has 187 appearances and one goal for the reigning French Champions.

But Newcastle must move quickly since Arsenal have also been looking closely at this player.

we should start bidding for crappy players and wait for QPR to buy all of them… then when they’re completely out of money, we can go back for our real targets

As I said yesterday re – Haidara, please stop putting up headlines with the words ” close to ” in them. It just winds people up. Have you learnt nothing from ”Remygate”

I am waiting for a tide of Info about how we ar going to get Siep de Jong from Ajax in the Summer only for him to sign for Dortmund at the last minute!

We need to beat Reading today and beat them convincingly to give us a much needed lift !

Oh and Ed ! While i understand that your feeling down could you stop with all the negative posts on here, please, its all starting to get me down too!

It’s nearly 65K a week wages – is that fantastic?

”Newcastle must move quickly”. NUFC don’t do quickly

Having said that, how fantastic would it be. M’Biwa and one of PEA or Gameiro and we are set to go, even with Pardew at the helm.

This story breaks last night just before a home game after some natives are getting restless and pressure is on the club to do some business they dont seem to interested in doing.
Right before a home game where the crowd may just be about to turn !!!!!

i may be cynical here but i am sure few people on here know what i am thinking ……………………

Hope Saylor is fit to play, dont think he is though.

Pardews Probable team (just about acceptable)
    Krul
    Debuchy Willo Collo Santon
    Perch Cabaye
    Anita Marv Jonas
    Cisse

He could produce this though, wouldnt be surprised. Back to his favorites who have been shite for ages.

    Krul
    Debuchy Willo Collo Santon
    Obertan Perch Cabaye Jonas
    Shola Cisse

I would put nothing past Pardrip. love the way he is saying this is a game we cannot lose. It is a game we must go out and win, anything less and he should go.

And what the f##k is he talking about QPR’s squad is stronger than ours, what a prick.

I would rather we went all out on getting Okore in. He is an absolute beast, and will be in the starting line up for Denmark. Including he will be a lot cheaper both salary and transfer wise

I find Newcastle so frustrating sometimes, everything seems such an issue. Soon the transfer window will be shut & all they will say is we tried. Stop penny pinching or I fear relegation looms. Then its too late.

@elpaso_geordie the only ones I’ve seen getting *really* restless are some of the online keyboard warriors. There is a bit of disgruntlement, but this season (so far) we’ve never been boo’ed off the field and the lads in the level 7 corner are still playing the Pardew give us a wave game.

Nobody is happy about the results this season, but most fans are very patient indeed. It’s coming up my 40th years since my first home match and I’ve seen lots worse times and teams.

I know what you mean about possibly cynical news stories relating to arrivals. We’ve seen it all before, also certainly long before this regime. They’ve actually got it tougher than the past – courtesy of the transfer window; though they’ve made a rod for their own backs as this is the worst time of year to try and buy. All in all
paying the price for not spending last summer.

: Newcastle just cannot seem to catch a break. Despite reports from L’Equipe earlier in the day, RMC Sport is now claiming that the Magpies’ bid for defender Massaido Haidara, which was initially accepted, has now been rejected. RMC also believes that Premier League rivals West Ham have submitted a bid of 3.5 million euros for the young full-back.

I was over the moon about Rémy signing because Rémy = 10000000000*(Ba+Cisse*Shola*Nil)…. But now I’m a bit stressed thinking about our transfert strategy!
and maybe Colo and HBA Will go if no one comes right now! F****!!!
