Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa is being reported as having a medical at St. James’ Park, and that would be some excellent news for Newcastle fans, after there were fears that Arsenal may make a last ditch move for the French International defender.
Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa - hopefully having medical at Newcastle
But not to be too critical of QPR, the famous Arsenal club have much more class than their London neighbors, and there was always a high possibility the London press were simply making up the story after what happened with Loic Remy. We hope that’s the case.
The news is that Newcastle hope to unveil the player tomorrow, so we would hope that everything can be tied up today, including the medical and perhaps some announcement can me made tomorrow morning – and certainly the 23 year-old would be a terrific signing for the club, and he can play anywhere across the back four.
The fee for Yanga-Mbiwa is reported at €8M which is around £6.6M, and that’s not a bad price for such a solid defender.
Newcastle have also been linked with striker Yoan Gouffran from Bordeaux, who looked a decent player and very fast when he played against Newcastle last year in the Europa League, and he could be a decent signing for Newcastle at only £1M.
Newcastle are likely to go after a top striker in the summer – and maybe even Luuk de Jong could become a target again, and he’s not too happy at Burussia Monchengladbach, having appeared in only 14 games and scored 4 goals for the 8th placed Bundesliga side.
Luuk is the younger bother of Newcastle midfield target Siem de Jong, and who knows, maybe Newcastle will go after both brothers in the summer – there’s an exciting thought.
But first of all we need to get Yanga-Mbiwa signed up – and he will certainly help Newcastle’s survival battle in the Premier League this season – with just 15 games remaining.
And still no word on Fabricio Coloccini, and a meeting has presumably taken place today, in which Newcastle hoped to make a final decision on the Argentine, on whether he stays until the end of the season or moves back home to Argentina, because of some personal family problem.
Comments welcome.

If we sign the players then great. Won’t celebrate anything until they are in a black n white. Not sure Gouffran is on the move as SSN saying differently. Btw even if we sign Gouffran we STILL need ANOTHER MARQUEE STRIKER SIGNING!- FACT

Dont let him leave the hospital until he’s signed his contract and dont allow any greying Frenchmen or droopy cockneys in the building.

Finally the Board have realized that something has to be done. We’ve got a decent first XI if no injuries, but as soon as we have to play Shola, Perch, Williamson etc we are struggling. Players like Birigimana and Sammy are not good enough (yet?), and should not be playing Premiership football.
Gouffran at 1m is a snip, great player.

I never ever try to confirm anything and am totally against Twitter but his daughters mother has posted a pick ofhim and his daughter saying their goodbyes last night and retweeted his cousin saying goodbye to Mapou for his journey to Newcastle.
A NUFC fan asked her if he was traveling now and she said ‘morning’. Now whether that is tomorrow or this morning is up for debate.
Looks like we have him unless he fails his medical.
Top player but I think we need one more CB a CM and 2 CF…

C’mon, this guy, in addition to Colo, Tayls, Debuchey, Santon and Krul.
Imagine being relegated with that array of talent at your disposal.
The management and ownership would have to be run out of town on a rail.
What else could reasonably be done?
20 Kyo // Jan 21, 2013 at 8:00 PM
I have NEVER posted false information and I am NOT claiming to be an ITK or anything.
You can trust me when I trust these respected journalists from France.
21 Toonacious T // Jan 21, 2013 at 8:01 PM
I will believe it when he is stood on our pitch in our kit. He would be a good signing for us due to his versatility and speed. The Toon Army desperately need this to be true. Only so many boots to the ball bag we can take! HWTL.
22 nick_9 // Jan 21, 2013 at 8:02 PM
Agreed. Plane then helicopter directly to the middle of SJP pitch!
Mbiwa – 6.5m
Sissoko/Diame – 3/3.5m
Gouffran – 1m
Graham – 3-4m (low offer and hope he demand to leave)
Haidara – 2m
Out now:
Simpson 1m
Ranger 500k
Gosling – 500k
Williamson – 1m
Loans – Sammy, Tav, fergy, abeid,
Net spend – 13.5-14m
Summer
Harper expired
Xisco expired
Colo – unhappy
Mirin – 3-4m
Dream scenario for me other than collo leaving

Expect an announcement on Mbiwa and Haidara tomorrow or Wednesday
They’re signing up only pending the medical.
26 Beattie25 // Jan 21, 2013 at 8:03 PM
Also the owner of Montepellier is saying that Newcastle are a bad choice, Mapou is a donkey for choosing us and that we will sell him in a year.
I don’t disagree.

I dont like getting excited over our transfer activity as im always dissapointed, but some mouth watering developments going on.
Sissoko and Haidara are luxuries IMO, and before the window most would have been happy with a right back, centre half and a ba replacement. It seems like happy times.
32 nick_9 // Jan 21, 2013 at 8:09 PM
Robby bobson – indeed getting shot of Williamson and replacing Ba are priorities, oops I mean signing a first team cb and replacing Ba. If the club are looking at full backs it shows hey either want strength in depth or aren’t looking at the right areas to strengthen

Remy was also said to be done and dusted – but he overslept in London and went to QPR instead – apparently after Ashley paid for his hotel and for his family to see a West End show! So he’s a model of scruples, isn’t he! Don’t forget the weather may prevent or delay flights. Like others say, I’ll believe it when it’s done and dusted.

39 Jamesthefirst // Jan 21, 2013 at 8:12 PM
If we sign Mbiwa it will be a stunning piece of business by the board. Up there with Cabaye signing in terms of how influential he can be for us.
As for Colo, staying or not, he should be stripped of the captaincy for dragging the club through this nonsense.
It’s time our true leader on and off the pitch was given the armband: Cabaye.
Our driving force and even tapped up Debuchy for us. We should send Cabaye to meet all new prospective signings. They would soon sign for us.

If Mapou sign for us we Will win or draw all our next 15 games. He is Very good as CB. Mapou is = Ferdinand or Vidic or Terry…Very good news!
Now We need a top striker and all our players available. We have to go for Lisandro or Gomis.
Lisandro >>> Rémy
Gomis = Rémy

anyone know if he’s good friends with any of our frenchies?
46 Beattie25 // Jan 21, 2013 at 8:15 PM
For me the only way this will be a successful window is if we replace Ba AND Best/Lovenkrands, we sign another CM and we get 2 CB’s (if Colo does leave).
Then we can talk success.
47 santonthenewmaldini // Jan 21, 2013 at 8:16 PM
I actually think looking at some of the goals we have conceded that we need to have another left back who is mostly focused on defending as a lot of goals come from that combo of Santon and Williamson side.
Could be that MBiwa will improve that ?
Would like to see Santon further forward in all honesty think he would make a tricky right or left winger so if we get that young left back lets hope he hits the ground running
Sissoko is essential he is exactly the player we need more than most for example in the 2nd half if we had him on against Reading we would have bullied them all game and Cabaye and Marveux would not have needed to come off to get a more physical presence he would already be there running right through the middle of their defense like a steam train!!!!
48 Robby Bobson // Jan 21, 2013 at 8:16 PM
Pardews Parsnip Bonce…
seeing as the comment started with ‘I dont like getting excited over our transfer activity as im always dissapointed’….
49 alf // Jan 21, 2013 at 8:16 PM
Its a sad state of affairs when we have to Google Players that NUFC are linked with as no-one has heard of them! Much like we had to Google who Pardew was when he took over! It all points to Penny-Pinching and Greed. Take QPR as a prime example they spent big last season under Hughes and again with Redknapp. Yet this crowd nothing and they wonder why they are in a Relegation struggle, they have basically the same squad that won the Championship, with a few additions added the likes of Williamson,Ameobi,Simpson,Ranger, jonas,Raylor No sell on value un-like Carroll and Nolan Enrique that’s why the Championship beckons!
50 Beattie25 // Jan 21, 2013 at 8:17 PM
Imagine if we signed Sakho from PSG as well.
That’s a CB pairing that will be first choice for France very soon and both have world class potential.

My worry with mbiwa is that I think he would be using us as a stepping stone, not necessarily a problem if he does well for us and we get a decent profit from it. Just hope the club is planning well for any potential players leaving. Isn’t this the player who dreamed or playing for Man U, ac Milan and Madrid? Just don’t want fans thinking he is going to stay forever if he comes.

That’s right, we do need Alderweireld. Toby is willing to leave as well. Like the look of Haidara. I’d be gutted if we don’t snap up Sissoko (hopefully it’s not another Remy scenario).
Unsure on the striker front. We definitely need to sign a couple of foreign strikers. Gomis is similar to Ba and knows how to hit that onion bag.
After invading the french market, I think we should look at snapping up players from south america. Kharkiv have 6 brazilians and 7 argentinians in their squad.
Zarate or Gameiro could be good loan options.

Statistically he has a 10% chance of signing this week.
Everton have been shit against Soton by the way, personally if Moyles does ever get a big club move i think he will bomb. They like a long ball do Everton.
Anyway all sorts of ignorant bloggers are missing the point regards Marvs substitution at the weekend. Not only was Shola still hobbling around the pitch but Jonas was also doing his best to get in Santons way. It was the fact that Shola could almost just stand in the same spot for 60 minutes and Pardick would still perservere with him, totally clueless.
I cimmend the club trying to get good players in, however it wont make one bit of difference with a bellend like Pardew in charge.
He is taking us down.

yes but i have a recent growing concern with pardew. he’s been in the game a while to be fair so i felt he made a big mistake in the summer. you wouldnt see fergie or any good manager allow his team go into a new season with a small squad when we were heading into a hectic season with europa league. he showed weakness in his handing of ba as well and his team selections to put cisse on right. even sat, the decision to take marv off was so negative and that spread onto the team. not showing ambition and progress is turing players heads too….he may learn his mistake from summer and amend for it now in this window but i doudt we will get mbiwa, hairdira and a new striker before the end of the month. fair play if we do but his team selection is still quite worrying. his reliance on jonas, playing ameobi on right wing against harte being other basic exempts.

Southampton have good delivery for Lambert where we play on the wings but have terrible delivery.
I get so confused with our tactics. We haven’t looked a creative force since March/April last year.
We need to play through the middle and use the flanks to stretch the opposition, not to cross aimlessly.
We seem to bypass the middle when that’s our creative heartbeat.

From Wiki:
Mapoo Yanga-Mbiwa (born 15 May 1989) is a Japanese Ice Dancer who plays football for Skalpel. He primarily plays as a central defender, though Skalpel also likes for Mbiwa to read to him.
On 12 May 2010, Yanga-Mbiwa added an extra year to his contract after agreeing to a contract extension with the club. It is thought he is considering sueing Sunderland council for having to fly over their area, which brought back recurring nightmares of a bad time in Albania.
However, Mapou has recently been in talks with Droopy Face after finding inspiration to move to Queens Park Rangers from his fellow countryman, Loic Remy. It is believed that despite talks, he is not motivated by money as Loi€ R€my is and thus decided to stay as far away from Droopy Face as possible. I love how many people blame Santon.
If your going to ask your LB to push up he has to be covered.
Guti covers him a far as the center circle and then does nothing if there is a quick counter.
What should happen is Anita/Tiote slips into that space.
Far as I see it Santon is doing the entire left wing on his own as an attacking/defending force.
1 man cannot do it all.
It isn’t about positioning in the generic sense its about tactics and recognizing the simplicity of covering.
Pardews fault? For me yes.

Danny Graham don’t seem a bad choice to go for at the moment. Prefer to see him get on the pitch than Ranger. Local and presumably would play with some passion for the toon. Anyone think Jonas and Santon don’t seem to be on same wavelength when they play together. Santon seems really disheartened lately times and he’s a great player. 156 nick_9 // Jan 21, 2013 at 9:07 PM
Beattie I’m with you on that one and have said it before that its a team game, if santon or Debuchy progresses then someone should cover and mainly the DM. We don’t often commit that many men forward anyway so i struggle to see how he gets caught out so often with noone covering.
157 surreytoon // Jan 21, 2013 at 9:07 PM
Who was it said we probably offered Marseille Euro 850k for Gouffran to get him now rather than in the summer?
Well it kind of makes sense if we had a Bosman style precontract with him for the summer but now want him earlier. Spurs are doing exactly the same with Schalke and Lewis Holtby offering them Euro 1m to get him now even tho they have a precontract for the summer, because of injury to Sandro. Schalke are holding out for Euro 2m.
158 hotdog // Jan 21, 2013 at 9:09 PM
Beattie – I dont think Santon likes to do the “nasty stuff” that is required of a defender. He could have bust a gut slid in and stopped that cross yesterday for the first goal. He is still young and learning the problem is we aint got time for kids to learn their roles at the mo.
Well ive been beating the drum for willo to be replaced and looks like this lad has signed up so ive looked him up. Seems quick, anticipates well but does not look the tallest. Either way an defo improvement but at the risk of repeating myself, he should have been here on the 3rd Jan, is it to little to late i wonder.

Lets hope we can have Shola and Jonas on the bench by February. I dont want to see Shola start anither game for NUFC. Hope we get Danny Graham to take over the sentimental geordie striker role, at least the boy works his knackers off, something we are sadly missing up the top end of the pitch.

100% agree.
People mentioned Baines/Pienaar as an example.
As I pointed out a few weeks ago to those people Peinarr doesn’t cover Baines, he joins him in the attack. Guti doesn’t do this for us he sits back.
With Everton Distin slips to the left side of defense and Neville drops into the middle to cover him as soon as the opposition try to counter.
It isn’t rocket science.
I know there is a misconception that a lot of fans think they know more than the manager, but it is just common sense, that’s why so many people can see it.

Beattie – spot on with the Santon critique, the lad is a rolls royce of a player, still young and still learning, his attitude is first class, always seems to enjoy the crowd and the crowd enjoys his efforts, its not his problem that everytime a ball gets put into the box, Willo never gets across the front post.
People having a go at the lad are fools, he will go on to great things he oozes quality and ability, some people just dont get that he is having to put up with Jonas and pretty much do 2 jobs. Our main attacking threat down the left and also responsible for any threat that comes down his side, people need to give the lad a break.
However with a new left footed full back i think Santon could be pushed on ala Bale.

Hencha – Not worth the effort mate! We all know we want to develop santon into a winger so no bother.
Toon1978 – My honest opinion is we are looking to cash in on Tiote in the summer. Sissoko is all Tiote is – plus he has the improved ball skills, composure and tackling ability.
I hate comparing players but I honestly see a lot of Patrick Viera in the lad. I don’t believe Tiote’s value has dropped as much as people might think.
That is just my opinion by I would possible (dare I say…) rate this guy to be an upgrade on Mr. T once he settles into life in the premiership.

That was naivety, desperation and lack of confidence all in one.

I think Sissoko could be announced tomorrow too.
If his representatives are speaking to QPR we can but assume that Toulouse have accepted a bid.
If he is chatting to us tomorrow I think it will be a personal chat, face to face, and I reckon by the sounds coming out from France he wants to join us and we’ve had a bid accepted.
Just my opinion.

Spread – I’m actually having lunch with my colleague who does MY job but in Spain, tomorrow.
As I’ve said – I don’t expect anything but will be sure to grill him about the 2 names we previously spoke about.
I wrote on the Gouffran article earlier that I think if we can get the lad for €1mil then that’s a bargain. But part of my intuition tells me that all is not as it seems – and the low bid was made purposely to distract attention from a more ‘high profile’ striker target.
Could be wrong and it might just be NUFC searching for yet another discount – but I guess only time will tell on that.

Beattie – Dont get me wrong i like Santon, i think he is a versatile player and he will probably find his true position. At the minute though im not sure what that is and young lads can struggle under pressure, which is going to get worse before it gets better. I think we will lose the next three Villa Chelsea Spurs and then we will see which players have the heart!

If we bring in Sissoko and our regular midfielders regain form we will have an embarrassment of rches and a problem keeping everyone happy.
On form we have an absolute gun set of midfielders.
204 JP...from The Rock // Jan 21, 2013 at 9:33 PM
Sissoko is a beast but perhaps his head has been turned by money bags QPR. GeordieToon89 like you say we should get him in and loan out Bigi so he can develop further instead of being burnt out with us. We need cover from seasoned pros and let our youn guns learn their stuff in other clubs in competitive football every week. It’s our lack of signings that has really put us back on our 5-year plan. Apart from that we were/are getting nearer to the full picture. If we survive and fully invest in the summer then I strongly believe the likes of HBA will stay on and see where we go with a strong team not like this year. The same strategy will be deployed by Ashley to see if Pardew is the right man. This year I can’t blame Pardew although he has shocked me with some depressing starts for Shola etc.
If we survive and invest heavily in the summer then and only then will I judge Pardew for his ability. Injuries have ruined everything for us this year it’s near impossible to work under these conditions for any manager.
If we get these signings through the door this month we will survive if they gel quickly and we have no further injury setbacks.
COME ON GET THE SIGNINGS OVER THAT BLOODY IMAGINARY LINE EVERYONE LIKES TO MENTION! ESPECIALLY PARDEW! LOL

So if we have signed 2 defenders but Collo is about to leave, then not much better off but it is commendable.
Who is our striker target, that is the big question?
Does anybody know? I dont think so.
Personally would try and get Ince from Blackpool, and Graham as Cisse’s backup, just play with plenty of creativity in midfield and no bother loads of goals.
Marv, Ince, Cabaye, Benny, Santon, Debuchy, Collo, Mbiwa, Anita, Sissoko all capable of knocking the ball around and supplying bullets for Cisse or Graham.
Graham will spell the end off Shola’s NUFC career, now that is something to get excited about.

I should say I had some roast parsnip tonight, it was excellent, I now find I have to stab the parsnip several times with my fork before slicing it up with my knife.
I see you have scurried back onto the blog, perhaps emboldened by the news of some potential new signings, to which you will no doubt attribute to the astute managerial prowess of your hero Percy Parsnip. I would suggest you are “backing the wrong horse” here.
You need to be exorcised of your beliefs in this man -he is a tool, always has been and probably always will be, I do suspect his days may be numbered if not in the near future at the end of the season.

Toon1978 – Im fortunate to have watched Anita for a number of years – again first hand. We are seeing glimpses of why we signed him – he is a fantastic player and we are lucky to have him given our current league standing.
But I believe we will come good, survive and improve this year. And that lad will play a huge part in it. People slated him on his very FIRST appearance in a toon shirt all those weeks ago – I just despaired!
Even the doubters will be made to eat their words when it comes to Vernon Anita.

224 Taking the Papiss // Jan 21, 2013 at 9:43 PM
I can’t help but feel a bit optimistic for the rest of the window.
Debuchy is done and Mbiwa/Haidara I am confident will be done tomorrow (it has been reported by beIN sport who broke the remy fee agreed and qpr hijacking before anyone else).
If those 3 are in we have strengthened in 3 out of 4 defensive positions and that has to be commended, especially with Taylor coming back.
I don’t actually really think we need anything in midfield but having cabaye, anita, tiote and sissoko all fit will give us options (although I can’t help but think that if sissoko comes in, tiote will go out in the summer). I do think that Sissoko will join by the Villa game btw.
our forward line is a totally different issue. We need reinforcements and I hope to see Gouffran (to give us options on either wing and through the middle) and one other if necessary. If we don’t get another striker I can see Siem de Jong coming in (i know he is a midfielder) but he seems to always get more than 10 goals a season which is very decent for a midfielder.
Fingers crossed, I don’t think de Jong will happen and am unsure on Sissoko (whether summer or now) but I do think we are seeing real progress in this window. If Remy hadn’t fallen through then we would be sat here for the villa game with 3 french internationals and a young prospect in and that has to be seen as ambition and progress. Let’s see where we are on 1 February, but would like to think we will be 3 players (at least) and 3 points better off!!!
225 p // Jan 21, 2013 at 9:43 PM
I personally am still very skeptical that Pardew can turn things around.
We need some kind of catalyst to reverse our downward spiral. Perhaps these signings can be the spark that is needed.
However, the guys we are seriously linked with have not played in the Premier league and may or may not need time to settle in. That is not to say the signings alone, presence in training and even on the pitch can’t change the dynamic.
Still this will merely paper over the cracks.
I am in the camp that think we were very fortunate last season in the same proportion to how unlucky we have been this season. That said, I feel Pardew is ordinary at best.

I think we will eventually sign;
Mbiwa
Haidara
Gouffran
and anything else would be a bonus.
Sissoko is a great player and one we should be going for also. We can’t let our Relegation Rivals (damn that sounds bad!) get him instead of us. That will increase their chances of survival and ours for the drop.
Our board have got to tread very carefully in this window as it clearly decides our fate. I would love to see QPR go down after the shite they pulled with you know who and that melted candle I despise even more now. Not only that but we can’t have a rich club near the bottom or mid-table because it’s a dangerous team in the league with all their money. They could always trump us on signings by splashing the cash and that is worrying because as they are not one of the top 4 clubs they are going to go looking at our targets and not theirs.
Dangerous times cause for cautious measures.

What people don’t take into account with regards to Remy and then M’bwia/Sissoko is that players like the latter are like Cabaye/Debuchy/Anita.
They have never transferred and have been 1 club players. Money for them IMO isn’t the big factor as they have played for 1 club.
Remy has had 4 already and each since the first has been about money.
The other guys have made decisions about their careers, and I think M’bwia/Sissoko are the same.

I have a feeling we will also have a chance on Sissoko.
I would also not be surprised if we dod get Graham in certain circumstances. I think the transfer fee is the obvious barrier there.
However, if we really need a forward and we can not get anyone else, the fee may become secondary and his willingness and probable desire to the play for the toon may trump everything else

I know everyone’s banging on about Sissoko and I’m not saying he’s not a good player but I’m really not sure he’s what we need.
He’s another box to box midfielder as is Cabaye and Anita.
Fair enough Cabaye can score 5-6 goals a season but Sissoko has scored 1 goal with 2 assists in in 25 games.
I really feel we need a player like Demsey just behind the strikers.. Cabaye is too slow and not agile enough to play there and we need his passing ability further back.
I don’t know we don’t play Ben Arfa there more often but our other wingers can’t cross… Damn we need a quality winger who can aswell

What bugs me loads about our play is that we always tend to go down the wings. The amount of times we played it to Santon and Gutierrez for them to attempt to deliver a good cross in against Reading was incredible. If we have bad crossers of the ball why on earth don’t we try and play it through the middle where our strength is. Cabaye could then supply his defense slitting passes to Cisse and co. We have to mix it up. We keep trying crosses with more crosses, how about a few shots from outside the edge of the box? Ala Paul Scholes? I really don’t get it. Even when Cisse and Ameobi keep missing we keep playing this way, even when most of our crosses are wayward and don’t pass the first man. In corners it’s the same, we should mix it up a bit. Tbf the Reading match is a bad example as we did mix it u a bit even in the corner with that quick low pass to Anita I think it was.

I think the main problem for us has been missing Ben Arfa, he’s the player that allows us to switch it up by going on his mazey runs and beating a player or two, without him AND cabaye, we have had absolutely nothing to work with… im suprised we have picked up the points we have, that is our creative force completely gone… and we have no one to compensate for them but marveux who is in fairness a great player who should be in the 11 from now on but has only just really shown that in the last 5 games or so… in pardews defense, he hasnt been able to train or play the same team every week all season, so therefore he hasnt been able to get a system going or practice certain things, as our team is having to change so often! therefore revolting to the pathetic “hit and hope” technique, which i, like everyone, hate, but without any form of creative spark what can he do? anita has had to help out in the holding roles, and marveux has only just lately started to prove himself …. i think pardew will actually prove a lot of people wrong, i think he is now finally getting the backing he deserved, and will get the players he needs to be able to play nice football! im sure he can do it, some of the stuff we played last year was great, in particular the west brom away game, i can remember several flowing moves from different games (struggle to remember certain opposition) with 15+ pass’s that resulted in goals last year, cassually passing it around the box, switching play until cabaye or benny or ba or cisse finished, with a full team we will be back to that again, i think people forget how unbelievably shot by injuries we have been this season…. not too mention the fact 3 or 4 decent squad players where sold… not pardews fault the board completely failed the man in the summer… and are continuing to fail him by not backing him fully enough… think everyone hear wouldnt have minded us paying a bit more for Remy, and getting that win at the weekend, with him scoring his debut goal infront of the gallowgate end? that was Cashley’s fault, not pardews, and then he had to deal with it, and then he gets slated for trying to protect a player that if we now lost again, we would probably go down… shocking!!!!…. WONDER WHAT HALF OF YOU WOULD HAVE SAID IF PARDEW LEFT CABS ON, AND HE RUINED HIS GROIN AND WAS OUT TILL NEXT YEAR!?!?!?!?! he obviously took marveux off to allow cabaye to play more advanced thats was pretty obvious at the time i thought, and i dont blame him for putting on a perch seeing as we have to play williamson at the back, hes not fit for a pub team…..but honestly, hes been under huge pressure this year, and has clearly made loads of mistakes because of it, tactics and subs and comments wise, but thats all been lumped on him and caused BY THE BOARD… doubt he’d be making shit subs and coming out with pathetic excuses if we’d have bought 6 players in the summer and made a statement that we are not f*cking around….
lets hope we get these new lads over the line as he likes to say.. and we can kick on from villa, and i utterly hate all this bullshit media specualtion about all our transfers, makes it really hard to know what to believe, but i had a bad feeling about the Remy deal, but a got good feeling about this week
really hoping we can get M’bwia, Sissoko, Goufran and that other lad at left back, plus maybe even 1 or 2 more in and i genuinley think we can still push on for a respectible 12th/10th, maybe even higher? as we now know far too well, it doesn’t take long for everything to go to sh*t, could happen to any club…
after this window if we could field this, we could beat anyone!
