Coloccini’s Situation Delicate And Not Nice – He’s A Brilliant Guy

Alan Pardew has talked a little about Fab Coloccini’s personal situation and he has said the situation was delicate and that he wouldn’t want anybody to be in Colo’s situation.  Alan Pardew has been trying to talk his captain into staying at Newcastle for the last few weeks, and he finally did that yesterday after long one on one talks with his captain – but the manager seems to also want fans to know that Coloccini’s personal situation is a very difficult one for anybody to handle.

fab coloccini and alan pardew

The Newcastle manager with his captain

This is what Alan Pardew has told the local papers today:

“His reaction on the training ground has been brilliant – almost like he’s accepted it himself.” “Perhaps he was questioning himself but maybe now he’s answered it.”  “I thought I could lose him.” “The personal issue he had, it’s delicate.”

“It’s not nice and I wouldn’t want anybody to be in that position.”  “He’s such a brilliant guy and man, and now he’s going to help us.”

Those words from Pardew will help the fans support the Newcastle captain through his personal troubles – and we’re hoping we can get only our third win in 14 league games on Tuesday night and then Newcastle will return to face the European Champions next Saturday.

And we want to see a much better display than the lads served up against Reading, last time out at St. James’ Park.

And we also expect St. James’ Park to be sold out for the Chelsea game.

Howay The Lads!!

No , not really , I watched him for over 2 years now , with his best squads , his football is based on individual bits o brilliance not good team play,

You don’t need good players to play to a system , Pardew sees things in players none of us can see,
Have u seen our next 5 matches? Villa is the only one I think we will get points at, they have played 2 matches already in a week they will be done in

You think Pardew hat a chat and that’s what made him rethink ? You idiot,
Colo is stuck , he is doing what’s best for him, he had 2 options stay, or pay 7 million, which would you choose?

Good to see Pardew publicly trying to build Colo up and get him settled back into doing his job.
Pardew has showed him a bit of understanding and imo is very good at people management at the one to one level.

Catchy – We’re doomed I tell ya dooomed

From previous thread, Catchy he had a 3rd option. Retire. And that was what was in his mind, after discussions with the board. It was a pardew intervention that has given us a good result.

For the record, there are loads of players who have spoken in support of the manager recently, none more so than Santon. If you wish to be ignorant and ignore the positive news and stick to the poor then that’s up to you but you are showing yourself to be a dimwit.

When you talk about tactics, substitutions etc, its all valid, but don’t be a prick and make things up.

Do you think pardew had much input on the four arrivals or was it down to the board

I can see all the problems at the club,

I have no problem with Ashley ,

I think the problems lie with both Pardew and lambass

Lambass had money to spend, but tried to save 20 quids on players and played a risky game that back fired on him hence Ashley getting involved

I judge Pardew in 2 areas

1 what the guys says, the words that come out of his mouth, they never really match what I see on the pitch,
His man management skills are poor , very poor , he has slated the kids all season ,
Then there is the football I watch, ppl use the word injury and make it sound like its been a problem all season , it has not he puts players in wrong positions , he played hoofball for no reason in the first 15 games and sai we never got our passing game going
It’s football reasons I don’t want Pardew , he should be doing better than what he is with our aquad

Fair play to colo for staying even if its just till the end of the season. He’s been a great player/cap for us & he stuck with us through thick & thin (champ).I hope he sorts his personal problems out as soon as he can without things turning nasty.Good luck captain Colo for now & the future.HWTL

Proud, I can only speak from experience, and I know that Pards talked to Papiss before he came, several times, but I can’t see why it should be any different with these. No player signs for a club without talking to the new manager, they need ideas on role to play etc.

C’mon the guy wants out but the club’s lawyers have threatened him … so now he’s saying.

Let’s hope he plays well. But if he’s going home to an empty house where his family once were .. he’s going to be pretty miserable.

Catcy, you and i agreed on a lot re Pardew recently. Most of it was fair comment – poor free kicks, defensiveness v Reading etc. But I think he has excellent people skills ( HBA, Colo etc ) and I just want to see if he can bring a more attacking mindset now. Maybe the players will make that happen. I think we are going to improve now – possibly dramatically. Well done to Ashley again. HTL

Don’t mean to be pessimistic guys but we’re never ‘too big’ to go down. Once you’re stuck in a rut it’s hard to get out of. Just make sure we back them from now til the end of the season and hope it improves on the pitch, eh?

Can’t believe there are still IDIOTS who want a manager change now. How can they not see the insanity of it. We have almost half a new team this month. How could they settle during a sudden manager change? Regardless of what people think of pardew he must be given the oportunity to fix it with the new players. (personally I think he should be given time to show what he can do with a strong squad, especially since he did very well last season with our full team available)

certain people on here a far too quick to criticise.. pardew hasnt played hoofball for about 7 games, and in his defense, williamson and danny simpson are the only players who hoof it, because they are incompitent, but i doubt they will play now so i think that will be an end to that… i doubt pardew ever wanted players to hoof it, but its more what certain ones felt they have to do under pressure because they arent confident enough in there own or people around thems ability, im confident we will be playing some really nice stuff with these new lads, and i think we will pick up a lot of points, we have a starting 11 of 100% quality now… and options on the bench, i dont care what anyone says, we havent had that all season. the fact we have had people like shane ferguson and sammy ameobi on the bench says it all really. they should be on loan. if your not gonna back the team, manager and board after they have managed to pull of 5 bits of top drawer business and keep our wantaway captian onboard then i dont know why your here.

We don’t know what problem Colo has, and frankly it’s none of our concern.

What all true Toon fans should do is offer encouragement to him at all of our remaining games.

If come May he has continued playing well for us and still wants to leave, well I for one will wish him the best of luck.

What does worry me is should he decide to return to Argentina, not necessarily San Lorenzo, will we get a decent return on him.

I’ll admit I have not been convinced by Pardews performances or tactics this season however last year when everything was going well, very few questioned his ability as a manager.

The injuries this year and the lack of players bought in during the last window will have had a large impact on the dressing room and team morale. Pardew will have known he was up against it and results and morale have reflected this.

It reached crisis point at Christmas and Pardew did his job and asked for funds to buy new players. Putting it simply he did his job and the board have backed him.

The fact that Pardew and the board have convinced the calibre of player we have got to come to the club speaks volumes, the fact that they are French speaks even more because putting it simply if Pardew and the board had lost the dressing room, the other French players would have told their international team mates that the club is a shambles and to saty away.

Due to the fact that this didn’t happen we now have to give Pardew and the board the benefit of the doubt.

They have done their jobs, secured the players we need to move forward and now we as fans have to get behind them and support the club.

Lets hope for a good result on Tuesday and take each game as it comes

There are some clowns on this site, they never do anything but moan, we do not want clowns who do nothing but moan, for god sake go and get a life, or go and support some other team, if your not happy with the team or manager, then just bloody move on to another team perhaps Sunderland, we have the best and most loyal fans in England, there is no question about that, but there are still a few assholes who do nothing but moan, and slag of some of the players and also our manager, please go and get a life, your nothing but stupid pricks. onwards and upwards, Newcastle for ever. tbh when the team plays well pardew looks good, dont think he has much to his game apart from he talks a good game and can maybe give the players confidence short term. when push comes to shove i think he would crack and when it comes to getting the best out of a crap team he will most definately crumble. cant take much from his previous managerial experiences coz they are clubs that dont have half as much pressure with our fans and all that, what was it, west ham, charlton, southampton. hes doing ok but i think we shouldnt be scared to sack him if some one better comes along. i really like martinez and think he would flourish as our manager. just need someoen who will not demand transfers and stuff like that coz it aint gonna happen with ashley at the helm

Toonaids have you been living on another planet, was that a joke that we need a manager who will not demand transfers and stuff like that as it aint going to happen, correct me if iam wrong, but did we not just sign 5 quality players already this month, have you just returned from the moon or what, i honestly cant get my head round some of you guys on this site, and another point, if we had not signed any new players this month, then so called fans like you would have been saying that Alan Pardew is a puppet, that he is shit scared of Mike Ashely, and mike ashely has him in his pocket, so in reality there is no way to please people like you, its a case of your damed if you do, and your damed if you dont, but the real Newcastle fans will be really happy with the business that Newcastle have done this week, its time for every true fan to all pull in the same dirrection, and get behind the club, yes get behind Mike Ashely, and Grame Car, and Alan Pardew, and all the players and staff, to all you so called fans that do nothing but moan all the time, and find faults with everything, just go and support that lot down the road, we dont want you or we dont need you. Newcastle United for ever. Howay the lads.

if you look back a bit i was calling him a puppet and a muppet and i still stand by this through the good times and the bad times. i make an effort not to change my opinion solely on performance and results, coz whether we do good or bad it still doesnt mean he is right for the job, he is blaitenly a puppet man, cant you see. his press conferences are full of shite he doesnt want to say but has to.
we have an excellent squad atm and i dont dislike the man but i think with a better manager we could be a top four side. with our support i dont know how we arent. well kinda do but thats all in the past.
i dont think he has a say in signings is what i meant. he may demand more players but like every other half decent manager, they all seem to pick which players they want, scout players they know and like. maybe our club is being ran like a club should be ran, manager managers, scouts scout, owner owns etc etc
these 5 signings werent pardews doing and youre a fool if you think they are. pardew is not giong to win us trophys but for the time being i will allow him to do what he is doing and hopefully, by a miralce, he will come end up being a necessity to our teams success, doubt it, but do hope.

Toonaids, iam not saying that Alan Pardew is the best manager in the world, but he has been saying in all his interviews lately that we are in big trouble, and we need more players because our squad is not strong enough, so as a result of what he has been saying, the club have backed him up and signed 5 new quality players, so you cant really say these signings were not pardews doing, crame car goes out and looks for new quality players, then he makes the newcastle board and manager aware of these players, then its up to Mike Ashely to do the rest, and thank god he has backed our manager in this transfer window, so its only fair that we give out owner and manager our full backing and full support from now until the end of the season and see where it takes us, and iam sure you will agree thats the best we can do for now toonaids. PS. I hope you and your family are keeping very well, and having an nice weekend toonaids? Howay the lads.

im at work, proper sheet weekend like but nee football so am not arsed.
signings in we can hopefully do some good.
i personally do not aggree with some of pardews line ups like, guti gives his all but has been shite for a while, drop him into a wing back position at the most, ameobi should never start, he should play at the most half an hour. the youngens need to be out on loan but i think
graeme car is an absolute legend and i dont know why we dont give him a chance of managing, he obvioulsy knows what the best qualities are in all of our players, why not give it a punt. pards has only a one year pay out on his contract.
i dont think it ever fair to blame one person like for anything coz we are called UNITED for a reason so whatever i will support but would be happy with less drama that seems to be the only soap north of emmerdale that is NUFC!
    have a smashing weekend yourself
    sing us out boys

Nice chatting to you toonaids, i actually agree with you about guti, and ameobi, they are no longer 90 minute players, this will probably be thier last season at newcastle, they are now squad players at best, also i would love to see Newcastle play David santon on either on the right wing, or the left wing, as i think he is a very good footballer, but not a great defender, he could turn out a bit like garath bale, if you remember harry rednap, conferted bale from a left back, to a fantastic winger, i would love you thoughts on that toonaids? My real name is Eamon Mc Parland, and i live in Northern Ireland, iam 58 now but have supported Newcastle from i was 7 years of age, they are a fantastic club, and i simply love the geordie people, they are quite like us Irish, they call a spade a spade, but they are so friendly and witty he he, iam going to sign of now, but perhaps we can chat again toonaide, its been nice chatting to you tonight, take care, and God Bless from Eamon. Howay the lads.
