One piece of business on this last day of the transfer market could be Danny Simpson leaving the club after three and half years on Tyneside.
Danny Simpson – could leave Newcastle today
It seems that Danny would like to move to London so if Fulham put in a bid of around £1M for the former Manchester United player then the Magpies will accept it – although it seems the club are also now willing for him to stay until the summer when he becomes a free agent and he can leave for nothing. Wigan Athletic are also said to be interested in the player and they are in their annual battle against relegation – so that would hardly be a good move for Simpson.
Simpson will not get too many games if Mathieu Debuchy stays fit and even if Debuchy is not available, then Davide Santon could move over to right back and new boy 20 year-old Massadio Haidara could come in at left back – since he’s the future of Newcastle. Danny has played 131 times for Newcastle with two goals and he helped us come straight back up after we were relegated.
Xisco will also leave Newcastle today and if he does it will be for the last time as his £50K/week five year contract runs out in the summer – and he just wasn’t good enough for the side – and Xisco could move on loan to Spanish second division side Cordoba with a possible permanent move in the summer. Xisco played only 11 times for the Newcastle first team in all competitions.
And youngsters Shane Ferguson and Sammy Ameobi will be sent out on loan until the end of the season – as soon as something is set up for the two young promising players on Tyneside.
But we don’t expect it to be a busy last day of the transfer window for Newcastle – but we’ve been wrong before. 😀

Could be something totally unrelated to transfers. He doesn’t even need to be there for transfers either, email, phone, fax, etc…all can be done from wherever he is.
This to me suggests he wants to get involved and meet some people face to face and sort things out personally.

Redknapp will bring in all the players he deemed not good enough for spurs…surely they cant want to play for him.
Samba will be a great signing but 10mil release fee and 100k a week….they must be mad.
Shows they have no future planning, no scouting network in place to find these sort of players who haven’t got the huge reputation and price tag.

You get the feeling with harry that he will take any player today who he deems better than what he has. Its all a bit desperado from QPR.
How many have they signed so far? The way they are spending they must be relying on staying up surely and getting that tv money! There talking five mil for crouch? What? He’s 32!!! Lol

Comment #24redknapps a crook he hardly rated jenas bentley or crouch in his spurs team and all 3 on downward spiral … his swiss bankout acct will be receiving money i rekon from those deals … and he has the gall to say fernandes had his pants pulled down b4 he arrived … just in time for you to slip him a length from behind eh saddlebags.

Comment #25TORQ – Cheers mate and good work sir
With ‘arry, I think he is overrated massively too, but those players he is going after are washed up. Bentley, Jenas, Huddlestone, Odemwingie, Crouch are just journey men really.
And what the hell is the price tag and weekly wage for Samba all about?! QPR are really going all in. Poler time. They stay up then they may get by, they go down then I think they may be bust having to pay off these contracts. Dear oh dear. I think it is a really serious serious gamble and really shouldnt be allowed. I thought the fit and proper owners tests were in to cover this type of behaviour? People look to us having brought 5 in but look at the net spend. QPR are being very very silly IMHO

Comment #26If QPR go down with all those astronomical earners, every other club in world football should sign a treaty, saying they won’t buy any players off QPR, making them rot from the inside, eventually folding, bankrupting Tony Fernandes in the process – would get rid of his cack F1 team off the grid, too.

Stoke want close to the 10mil they paid for crouch and I believe QPR are willing to go close to that…it’s insane.
I think 5mil is decent for 3-4 years of football fromhim.

Comment #36It would be a perfect windoww if we sign xisco for another 5 years and he hits cisse-ish form in the second half of the season. and barca, real madrid and manure turn up with 30 million for his services in the summer. or we let him go and sign another striker. our striker position still begs for more btw.
