With the loan spell successes of 19 year-old Curtis Good at Bradford, 20 year-old Brad Inman at Crewe Alexandra and 21 year-old Conor Newton at St. Mirren, it’s hardly surprising that Newcastle have allowed 21 year-old Paul Dummett to return on loan to St. Mirren for the rest of the season, and we could see as many as five more players sent out on loan soon.
Conor Newton in action for St. Mirren
Xisco may be sent out on loan today if the right offer is made for him, and that’s likely to be the last we see of the Spaniard, after he’s been at Newcastle five years this summer, but has only played 11 times for the Newcastle first team in that period.
Alan Pardew has already said that he wants Newcastle’s top youngsters like Sammy Ameobi, Shane Ferguson, James Tavernier and Jak Alnwick to go out on loan to get first team experience, and we could see all five players move out in the next couple of weeks.
And Massadio Haidara made his first outing for the Newcastle U21 side yesterday as we lost 3-0 to Reading in a behind the scenes game, with young goalkeeper Jak Alnwick being sent off in that game.
It’s hard for top youngsters to advance quickly when all they play is Reserves games – so we should see a lot more of Newcastle’s youngsters out on loan next season and in the seasons ahead.
18 year-old Adam Campbell, who got some praise from Alan Pardew a couple of days ago, when he said the North Shields lad was unlucky not to make the traveling squad for the Aston Villa game after impressing in training, could also see some time out on loan before the end of the season.

I know what you mean. We need a ‘proper’ cente forward. Somebody who can do shola’s job of holding the ball and linking play but also offer more up front.
Perfect player for me is benteke….want him hear, especially if villa go down.
I think a move for guidetti on loan would be an option, just back from injury and will want to prove himself.

Comment #204Campbell should be nowhere near the first team this season.
None of the young players have coped well and have been slaughtered by the hatemongers on here. I would hate it to happen to Campbell. Look at Sammi , a couple of Ok performances in pre-season and he is the next big thing. A few poor performances in a struggling side and he is written off as worse than Shola. Give Campbell a chance to learn his trade. S spell on loan away from SJP is the best option for the kid, let him make his mistakes where he will not get his confidence destroyed.

Campbell is so much better than sammy though. He would get a few goals.
I dont mind young players who aren’t very good, the lack of effort in both attack and defence by sammy is what i find a problem.

Comment #206Well I know Ashley doesn’t normally stay in Toon during the week, but he was definitely driving around Jesmond last night in a black BMW (part of my failed conspiracy theory earlier).
Anyay I am moving away from the scaremongering business it doesn’t pay. 🙁
A mackem (ahem) associate of mine says D Graham was roundly scorned by the crowd at the scum v swans game the other day. Dont expect he will be welcomed into the fold unless he puts 3 past us.
Without a full complement of strikers we will probably have to revert to the fabled strike from an attacking midfield/carpetball that Pards promised his new boys we would play after all. 🙂
Either that or the Row Z hoof thing. Again.

Comment #207TS I think Campbell has bags of potential, I just want that destroyed by bringing him in too early.
I also think sammi can stiill make it. Don`t think he is lazy at all just a bit poor in his decision making at the moment which is to be expected in a young player.
