We had an article out yesterday saying that Newcastle were interested in PSG center-back Mamadou Sahkho and the PSG player played the whole game for France last night in their 2-1 loss to Germany at the Stade de France, and he looked a very good player.

Of course there will be other big clubs also interested in the player like Liverpool and Arsenal, but the news today is that it seems PSG will be willing to sell their 6’2″ 22 year-old defender in the summer, since he wants to play more first team football so he can make the France World Cup squad for the games in Brazil a year this summer.
And the player himself has said this to calciomercato.com:
“I have to look around. If I can not play at PSG, I will do it somewhere else.” “I do not want to miss the train for the World Cup 2014.”
By our reckoning last night was Mamadou’s 12th full cap for France and he looked a very good player, and could be an ideal replacement for Fabricio Coloccini, if the Newcastle leaves the club in the summer to return home to Argentina for personal reasons.
Liverpool and Arsenal are also in the hint for the player, but Newcastle have a lot to offer new players, and especially French players, with their already large French contingent on Tyneside.
And since Mamadou will have only one year left on his contract, the fee should be too large for Sahko, who will only get better in the Premier League.
The youngster has already racked up 180 appearances for the Paris club with 5 goals.
