Gouffran but I have to say Jonas wasn’t half bad today, except towards the end where he made some errant passes.

What a catastrophic error from Taylor and Colo though, after such a great defensive display too.

I can stomach a narrow loss to Spuds, however I am a little annoyed we could not nick a point but its whatever. On to the next one I suppose HWTL.

CBs were terrible today. Yanga-Mbiwa and Mbabu has to be the central defense partnership next week.

  • 5 Spuggy // Feb 9, 2013 at 2:53 PM

What Gouffran and Jonas have is strength on the ball. Marv gets pushed off it too easily as does anita at times.

Marv and anita suite free flowing games with lots of space and possession. That was not the case today.

    Great 1st Half performance.

    Just beaten by 1 man.

    Not bad .

Shouldn’t get above our station – next few matches are more realistic.

    Heads up chaps & HWTL!!!!!!!!!!!

    Lol. I assume you’re a comedian.

  • 8 Spuggy // Feb 9, 2013 at 2:54 PM

Was so looking forward to seeing Goof, Sissoko and HBA behind cisse! I think it’s gonna be a bad injury and probs out for the season.

beaten by a very mediocre side today. ok bale is good, but spurs were there for the taking in the 2nd half. when you needed a manager with balls mrs pardew is not the candidate. so back down to earth with a bump. the problem for us is always going to be there in the form of pardew. that is why we will never progress while he is still in charge- never. so instead of slating certain players, unless its cisse, look to see why we dropped off in the 2nd half, look no further than our incompetent manager. pardew out.

    Well said Spuggy.

Tottenham pressed us almost the entire game. That’s where having some English players in the midfield really helps. We did alright with the pressure but it was still an uphill struggle.

Scum have Arsenal at home, Shampton host City and Wigan are at Chelsea, I think our table position isn’t in much danger and our next few matches won’t require nearly as much resolve from us to get a result.

    Onward and upward

another tough game over with, now we can kick the liven sh!t out of our next 4 games now and then get a point of man city

    Glass half empty again ?
Hopefully a points top up the next few games will cheer you up.

  • 13 JAMSHA // Feb 9, 2013 at 2:57 PM

I dnt see Gufffy in that pic

  • 14 Nufc-83 // Feb 9, 2013 at 2:57 PM

goofy or taylor although not really happy how he dived in for the 2nd goal but overall an outstanding performance imo. Guti and Cisse were poor today and sissokho showed he can have games were he is not out of this world.

  • 15 remy D // Feb 9, 2013 at 3:08 PM

Well hopefully nobody voted that bellend we have as a captan.most overrated player we have had in the last 5 year

  • 16 tweaked // Feb 9, 2013 at 3:10 PM

Bale onc again proved a fantastic player, if he gets injured spurs are f****d… Still have a few games left and we cn survive…. Heres hoping to a euro final

  • 17 stuart no9 // Feb 9, 2013 at 3:10 PM

YO – YO i will only cheer up when a decent manager comes along!!!!!!!!!

  • 18 AmericanGeordie // Feb 9, 2013 at 3:11 PM

Time to get a look at M’Biwa. And the surprise is that it’s Taylor who keeps his place, and Colo who takes a seat.

With everybody fit, this is the starting XI.
    Debuchy Taylor Mbiwa Santon
    Tiote Cabaye
    BenArfa Sissoko Gouffran

(One small positive to the loss: Perch can now make way for Tiote, since AP wouldn’t change a winning side.)

Apparently Guffron has a broken leg.

  • 20 Toonfan_Ew Ew // Feb 9, 2013 at 3:27 PM

No7, where did you hear that mate? Hope that’s not the case. Colo’s had a poor season, I voted Tayls despite the second goal, I’m all for seeing how Mapou does now in place of Colo.

  • 21 No7_Heaven // Feb 9, 2013 at 3:29 PM

A friend of mine has contacts at the club. Hope it’s not true. He has been wrong in the past.

  • 22 No7_Heaven // Feb 9, 2013 at 3:32 PM

Looks like there’s something in the broken leg rumour:

  • 23 Zebras4Life // Feb 9, 2013 at 4:15 PM

Cabaye was brilliant. Miles better than anyone in our side today. So many fantastic one touch distributions

  • 24 AmericanGeordie // Feb 9, 2013 at 4:30 PM

Zebras4Life, I’m with you. Cabaye got my vote, quite easily really.

Coloccini’s 100% does not hack it for me ,but I have never rated him that highly. For me he should be on the bench for couple of game to somebody that wants to play for us a chance.

  • 27 woolerbill // Feb 9, 2013 at 5:43 PM

Why is it what you posts comes up different.

  • 28 K T Cat // Feb 9, 2013 at 7:15 PM

I thought Jonas played a good game today. He was the only guy in the wall who jumped on that first goal. If the rest had done so, the ball would never have gone in. Having said that, Gouffran was the man. When he left, it was all downhill.

I wonder if we could swap Cisse for HBA when HBA comes back. Cisse’s confidence is really screwed up right now. He’s missing easy shots all the time.

  • 29 Gavthegeordie // Feb 9, 2013 at 11:36 PM

Alreet fellas…new here! 1st half was great, 2nd…well, just not good enough.
Also, I have the new black and white shirt for next season! There are royal blue thin stripes on the black stripes. big white back again and v-neck collar.
Once I figure out how to post pics on here I can put the 3 tops on the site! The away is bright yellow with royal blue trim and the 3rd/Euro top is similar to the dark blue/black denim green/orange shirt from late 90’s!

  • 30 Owldman // Feb 10, 2013 at 9:27 AM

@4 News is that scan shows ho fracfure, if this is true thenhe could be out for a couple of weeks keeping fingers crossed

  • 31 Owldman // Feb 10, 2013 at 10:10 AM

My only gripe about the team selection against the spuds was why did Perch start &Tiote on the bench.Should have been the other way round surely
