We won a game from behind again!

Not once in two years, then twice in 3 weeks!

    Those French lads are a right bunch of softies, won’t be up for a battle will they? (;

Definitely Debuchy motm for me, carried the ball out of defense well. Good passing and movement. Got forward well also.
Good performance all round considering their pressing game and how tight it was.

    2 goal tino

That’s fantastic news, glad he’s trusted so much.

I hope Good doesn’t get too used to winning trophies – we’re never too keen on winning those haha.

Our priority now is cutting out these lapses in
Concentration starting games and early second half. It’s costing us goal and shouldn’t be hard to rectify.

Great great team effort, Elliot did very well.

    Gone above the scum
…. and one day soon we will score from a corner – so much to look forward to

I voted for Debuchy But Sissoko ran him close

Have been a critic of Tiote recently but he played really well today just what we needed he just needs to find consistency in his game again

Was refreshing to see us not hang on for the lead we were still going for more goals at 4 – 2 normally Pardew would have us sitting back trying to defend

Mbiwa got a proper baptism of fire but done well when he came on some lovely attempted through balls

Also big shout to Rob Elliot he is not as good a goalkeeper as Krul but he is miles better at passing the ball which meant we kept possession better and also has an assist some of his kicks and throws were excellent gave us a different dimension

Southampton looked really good at times the front 3 were all bought by Pardew so maybe he does know what he is doing!!!

Anyone know if the stoke home game is to be moved to Sunday? It’s still down as Sat and ain’t that far away. If not we got to play Anzhi away then Stoke two days later (like chelsea at start of season).

I CAN NOT wait for HBA to get back into this team…He would have wrecked Soton today.

    Great result. Great game.

    We continue to move upwards.

Football is getting better, playing alot more smarter. Good range of passing.

2 good results in 3 days.

Always knew we would pull away and the football would improve once our big players returned and our new recruitments were brought in.

Far too much quality in the squad when they are fit.

With this squad from the start of the season we would be sitting in the top 6-8 right now.

I’v voted Tiote. Thats the Tiote I know and love, great to see him back, he can build on that now.

Going to work tonight with a big smile on my face 🙂

    Onwards and upwards.

I think anita and marv have been unfairly dropped like, but im just gunna chuck it out there and say tiote is gunna smash the saints with a classic Mr T performance, to justify his place

im so glad he turned up and played like the tiote we know he can!

Three wins in four PL games since Reading.
Can’t complain, especially since the defeat was a narrow one to Spurs.

The Chelsea thing was just because of a parade or a carnival or something in London, so the police wouldn’t let it be moved – I’m sure the Stoke game will be, Stoke’s a bloody boring place.

I was thinking exactly the same thing about Tiote, he reminded me why he was so highley last season. More of the same from him would be most welcome he looked a different player, well timed strong tackles, good passing and movement all day.

I also rescind my recent critisms of the lad, he’s back and in fine form.

you people forget one very important thing- this was 2nd game in a trot we had a penalty called for us. I wrote once that with these players we could have a lot of pen. Siss, HBA, Cisse, Gouffi, santon….. lot of materials for pen

So, Cabaye on penalty duty (unless Shola’s on the pitch) ?

He used to take pens for Lille, so hopefully he’ll get a good run of it here.

some1 said tiote was lucky not to be sent of in the 1st half load off rubbish like, just doing his job winning the ball 50-50 balls shouldn’t get lost from the game like!

We’re looking better for the next few games. Get HBA back, hopefully Cisse confidence will return now. We actually look threatening now in attack, plus we have some decent options on the bench. Now we can string results together and build some momentum up for the Europa League and next season.

5 wins 1 lose since the frenchies come in (counting Mentalist home game as a win). Lost to spurs but close game but for Bale turning into one of the best players in the world.

    Great game today.

Lots of positives to take out of it:

Sissoko continues to be dominant in midfield.

Elliot looked good cover for Krul.

Debuchy looks like he has the pace we all thought he had.

Mbiwa looks extremely composed on the ball and I have high hopes for him as a replacement for Colo, when he likely leaves at the end of the season.

Goofy looks great value, and gives us the pace we were lacking first half of the season.

I think we are pretty much safe in the league now, and we can now attack the UEFA cup and have a real go at that.

    I dont fear anyone now.

Couldn’t agree more. Best squad we’ve had in ages and we can now relax a little bit and give Europe a real go!!
