We’ve collected some of the best photos from yesterday’s carnival atmosphere at St. James’ Park – when we celebrated French Day – in honor of the great French players we now have on Tyneside.
Vive la France
A (mad) Frenchman on Tyneside?

A young Frenchman at Newcastle – we just conceded a goal

Even the Can Can girls were there

It was certainly a day to remember at St. James’ Park yesterday with a sell-out crowd.

It was a great idea by the club, got a full house and made the crowd more relaxed as Pardew said.
Great result too as this southampton side had just beaten man city (who underperformed massively mind) 3-1 so they aren’t pushovers.

Anyone got any footage of this throw Elliot did? I keep reading about it yet I must have been looking away from the screen when it happened!

“Newcastle emphasizes on playing quick passes, moving into space… but there’s a slight difference which people might not really notice – they try to input Sports Science into trainings as well. We go to the gym first, do our warm ups in there before we go to the field.”

A cracking atmosphere! And a brilliant idea.
Yesterday was a MASSIVE game…make no mistake about it…and the party atmosphere generated at SJP helped everybody relax.
I are the makems are all b1tching and moaning about our allegiance to the French, calling us a joke of a team etc…
…amazing how bitter makems are!!

It was the most ridiculous throw u’ll see. HUUUGE!!! And crwzy accurate
I’d say he shouldnt bother kicking if he throws like that but his kicking is tremendous as well, ala his assist for Cisse.
Will see if I can find it.

No one has given Jonas any credit for his part in Cisses goal his jump made the defender miss the ball the rest was left to Pappis Demba Cisse and didn’t he give it a whack
