Haidara Could Be Out Until Christmas If It’s An ACL

Ryan Taylor took to the twitter airwaves yesterday after the terrible tackle of  Wigan’s McManaman left Newcastle defender Massadio Haidara writhing in agony on the pitch, with  blood coming out of  his knee.

haidara tackle

The terrible tackle by McManahan on Haidara – ban the guy!

It’s a bad injury and maybe an ACL like the one Ryan picked up last August, and Ryan is still recovering form that one.

This is what Ryan tweeted:

“Nothing to do with the scoreline and the fact it was a red but as a footballer it’s the definition of a ‘s**thouse tackle’.” “Wow. Not even a yellow #baffled.”

Callum McManaman was even defended by his manager after the game, and we suppose Robero Martinez is worried in case his player misses the upcoming FA Cup semi-final game at Wembley – but surely that pales into insignificance after the damage he has done to a fellow player.

Newcastle could be only 3 points above safety if Wigan win their game in hand, and we’re not out of the woods yet, and we have to visit Manchester City in our next game after the International break.

Ryan Taylor is now back in training at Newcastle, after he suffered an ACL against Atromitos in August, and he could even play again this season – but we doubt it – and if Massadio does have an ACL injury, he could be out until Christmas.

Here’s the video of the tackle:

i have a different view on it,, i believe the final impact was not seen, but there is no way the ref didnt see McM go flying in with his foot of the ground,

he watched him fly into him, then heard him scream, we all heard him scream, it should not take a rocket scientist to say something went wrong,, the fact the ref carried on and stopped play for something else, says the ref did not watch the the tackle

I will be longer that manaman.
    from last link.

Ben Arfa injury at Shitty just checked where the three mentioned refs come from when we play in and around Manchester.
    Halsey comes from Bolton
    Atkinson – Leeds
    Foy – St Helens

Bloody joke Halsey only lives other side of the M6 about 5 miles away.

Like us getting young Micheal Oliver from Ashington to ref the toon

Probably the worst tackle I’ve seen in my lifetime; Im sure the FA will do something about it, if not the club should get in contact with them. Mcmanaman should be banned for a period of time for that tackle together with a fine, even a 8 game ban wouldn’t be sufficient its a terrible tackle you should have seen the guys face as and after he had done it! Not only that it cost Newcastle 3 points when Wigan should have played for an hour with 10 men and the last minute goal should have been disallowed for hand ball. If Wigan survive relegation by a point or 2 its a travesty because of that.

Catchy… Yeah i agree, but if he was in doubt he should of consulted his linesman who would’ve had a better view of it then he could have put 2 and 2 together. Either way he had a shocker.

McManamans pretty much guaranteed a ban as the ref didnt even give a foul. The only ones they dont do anything on is when they do see it and make the call which the ref didnt do in this case. the question is how long a ban it’ll be. Im staking a bet now it’ll only be 3 matches.

ive watched and played football for 45 years and ive never seen a tackle like that aye keane and haangland wasnt good but this one is the worst ive ever seen

I fully expect the FA to do FA about the tackle so if i was the club ill press charges and take the wigan player to court over assault, loss of earnings ect ect ect that would wake the FA alright

I think the tackle has taken the attention away from what was another toothless attacking performance. We have been so bad to watch recently its driving me mad. I don’t think I’ve ever been as worked up from watching us than I have been this season.

Fair enough we have been getting decent results recently but some of them by the skin of our teeth. These have glossed over what has been a team that really doesn’t look like scoring

This tippy tappy crap along the back four, then tiote gets it and gives it away, is hard to watch

I don’t understand why we don’t be more courageous and maybe press teams higher up the pitch

I know santon scored from right back and people might not agree with me here, but when hadaira got injured I immediately thought santon back to lb and perch to rb. But to put guti at lb and keep santon at rb was mental. Playing two players out of position instead of just one. It’s silly things like this leave me scratching my head!

Think this season has added 10 years on me

i think 3 too,, shame as the kid could be out until xmas

i think in cases where the player gets injured through serious foul play, he should sit out for as long as the injured player is out for, with a min ban of 3 matches

i said it yesterday and this morning,, quite rightly something should be done and said about the tackle,,

BUT we all need to look at the way our team is set up by pardew,, we do not look like a team that is going on the pitch trying to win a game,,

why bring perch on? why not Anita who offers much more,,

for me goofy will get more time than obertan, obertan had been in England for 3 years before his move to us, but goofy is looking a very poor player right now,, does not get involved in the game at all, does very little tracking back,

The tackle or assault was illigitimate and deserves the punishement the the injured party is to suffer, week for week and McManaman should have his wages stopped fro that period also. Shame as apart from that incident he looked a pretty decent player which makes it harder to swallow. No mistake he caused the injury but I find it hard to believe at the moment the tackle was made that he actually ment to injure our player….that would take some really twisted mentality.

I do blame pardew for his inept tactics and formation of the team, if you look at most of the teams in the league they all play with 3 at the back really and stiffle the midfield out with 5 players then 2 up front and it works ive always wanted us to play this way as it gives us a much better balance and can defend it much better then a flat back 4 and I dont really like the 4-3-3 formation either if I was pardew id play 3-5-2 and stick to it but playing players out of there postion is really stupid and I do blame him

I honestly believe with the team we have that Wigan were there for the taking. As were stoke, and anzhi away

We just lacked belief and an attacking mentality.

We are so concerned about the other team not scoring that we don’t even look like scoring ourselves. There has to be a balance. But I think we are so scared of getting beat that it will be along time again before we see free flowing attacking football

i like 442, always have done,, but with the players we have at our club right now, we are more suited to 352 like you say,, i was saying this the other day,,

pardew insists on this shit formation with so many out of position, it makes us look bad

pardew only players this way so he can fit his fave players, but not our best players into the team,, this is why he will never be good enough

this has been my argument all the time,, but i get shot down in flames when we pull out a win against poor teams,,

i hate the fact we are scrapping for wins, waiting until 90 to score , not creating enough chances, having no support in or around the box,, and only one guy is doing this,,

he was fully backed in jan, and we have not looked any different in our set up , sissoko is now what ben affa was last year,, our one trick pony

Mcmanaman should have the book thrown at him. We were poor til we scored, tbh no team deserved any points yesterday. Tiote needs to be dropped! A complete liability! I lost count how many times he lost the ball when the other defenders had ran up the park. Taylor had a good game again but wont last till end of the season running about like that.

That’s from McManaman’s twitter feed after a game about 6 weeks ago. Obviously it’s a little more sensational now, but it still give you an idea of the lad Martinez has described as ‘not that kind of player’.
