Amazing News – Haidara Could Be Playing In Two Weeks

The positive news on Massadio Haidara continues, and it seems that he has only suffered bad bruising of his knee and thigh and some soft tissue damage, but other than that he’s fine, and news today that he could be back playing in early April.

haidara tackle

Massadio Haidara – playing again in early April – unbelievable

A statement from the club today read as follows:

“We can confirm that results of the latest scan on Massadio Haidara show that the player has very fortunately escaped any significant bone or ligament damage following the dangerous tackle by Wigan Athletic’s Callum McManaman on Sunday. “

“We are very pleased that the extent of his injury is less severe than first feared and is limited to bruising to the bone and soft tissue damage.” “Depending on the speed of his recovery he should be fit to play again in early April.”

“Massadio will continue to be assessed over the coming days.” “He has been very lucky that he has not suffered more serious injury and this positive diagnosis in no way lessens the club’s views with regard to the severity of the tackle from which it resulted.”

That’s a good statement from the club because the good news doesn’t excuse the terrible tackle by McManaman or the inappropriate comments made by both the Wigan manager and the owner, not to mention the FA – who didn’t do anything about the tackle whatsoever.

As soon as we heard that he not sustained any ligament damage to the knee, we knew it was really good news for the Frenchman, and that he had probably only received some very severe bruising.

And when Massadio early in the week said that God was on his side – he was very close to the truth.

He’s a very lucky boy – but this is great news.

Comments welcome.

ichrisho… Ah always good to have the daily mail blow everything the funk out of proportion. Annoying though we’re all getting tarnished with the same brush.

Disagree there mate it’s stupid idiots like this that can make the FA take action against NUFC against there travelling support, the sort of thing the club can be fined for, infact if there were consitantly reports of acts like this, which in the eyes of the law and the FA come under vandilism and acts of football hooliganism can lead to much more serious actions, including playing out a punishment of x amount if league games being played behind closed doors
So how many fans miss out then because of a couple of hundred tw@’s?

Dok.. Referee shirts? Ha nice i suppose at least you aren’t going to be on the end of any football related beatings like we have here 🙂

Always found it funny that in america its the north thats considered more cultured and sophisticated and the south is full of inbreds and barbarians. Kinda the polar opposite of what we have over here 🙂

Leazes…Not so sure. I get the feeling this is something the FA will take joy in dealing with. Especially after the criticism they’ve come under since our game.

The FA constantly take action against clubs over fans behaviour, they have been hot on it this year

ichrisho… Although to be fair the comments on that article are daily mail readers which automatically makes there opinions in valid. I’d hope most football fans would be smart enough to realise this is a minority. But i doubt it, football loves a moan.

Back to the points made on the previous article, can the club actually be held accountable for a small percentage of fans who were marshalled by neither the home teams officials, or the local police? I agree it’s a rather stupid thing for them to have done, and I would even be quite happy for them to be made accountable for whole sorry affair, however, I don’t feel in any way responsible for the behaviour of other people.

G… I think it’d be extremely harsh to punish the club further, especially after we’ve agreed to pay for damages. Plus its not like they can fine us for not controlling our fans as we weren’t in a position to control them in the first place.

We’re proof of that… (about the moaning) – you are true that the comments from the DM are invalid but still those headlines and pictures really really make us look like a back of northern retards running around.. .after all the good work we have done this season increasing our reputation…

I wouldn’t be surprised if the mail ran an article about the resurrection of the aztec god Quetzalcoatl, and his plans to destroy the peat district. No doubt there readers would believe it and be “outraged” by it

Great news about Haidara, though it does not detract from the brutality of the tackle and the injustice of the FA’s behaviour.

    I bet McManaman’s relieved too.

Now then what about the Times, the Independent, other papers and all the news outlets on the web who have also covered the story . DUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHH.

I maintain that Haidara’s split-second reaction to lift his boot up might have saved his knee. I’ve seen it plenty of times, where athletes anchor their weight while taking a direct blow to the knee, and are ruined.

Growing up playing basketball, I was able to avoid countless ankle injuries using the same concept.

Europa League and Champions League draws fixed… oh what a story – surely everyone knows this has been happening for years and years…

Love the response from UEFA head Platters…. (Read it in slow french accent – suspicious.com/bigtime
…..”There is absolutely no way we fixed the Champions League draw. No way.” said Michel Platini, president of UEFA. “The balls were yanked and pulled in a correct, unfixed fashion. We also did not heat the balls in any way to find out which ones they were. Really, we didn’t, even though there’s no proof.”

    Quick summary of the
Bullingdon Boys Club has been mentioned in the debates of the House of Commons in order to draw attention to excessive behaviour across the British class spectrum, and to embarrass those increasingly prominent MPs who are former members of the Bullingdon. These most notably include David Cameron (UK Prime Minister), George Osborne (UK Chancellor of the Exchequer) and Boris Johnson (Mayor of London).
They go about restaurants around Oxford get legless and smash places up then then cos they have loads of money pay as they leave.

The police give the club a ASBO a couple of years ago for swearing and using abusive language in the streets around Oxford
