Does The Pope Want Coloccini At San Lorenzo?

It was good to see Pope Francis (Jorge Mario Bergoglio) become the new Pope recently, after Pope Benedict had resigned the position – the first time that had happened for over 600 years.

Pope Francis with San Lorenzo shirt – he’s a big fan

And as we were reading about Pope Francis and his history,  surprise surprise, we see that Pope Francis is a big football fan and supports his local Buenos Aries club, San Lorenzo – the club that did their very best to sign Coloccini in January.

And from what we know, Coloccini still wants to leave Newcastle in the summer, and some local Newcastle papers are suggesting that in the corridors of power at Newcastle, it has been decided that the club will let Coloccini leave  in the summer – if they can get a decent transfer fee for our 31 year-old captain.

And that may be the best solution that will allow Fabricio to overcome a family problem, which Newcastle have not revealed – but we know his family is now resident in Buenos Aries.

Massadio Haidara recently said God was on his side , when he seems to have amazingly dodged a serious injury from that McManaman tackle, and we suppose if Pope Francis wants Fabricio Coloccini to join the San Lorenzo club in the summer, it could be said that God may be on the side of the Argentine club.

Well, at the very least it means the Pope is on their side.

We’ll await developments as the summer approaches – but it may have already been preordained – by those even higher up than Mike Ashley 😀

No offence to the 30 million + catholics but I am not into this Poping lark – Religion and Politics – 2 Blog no-no’s Ed! He wants the Malvinas given back and next before you know it he’ll want Argentina to claim NUFC because of its Argentinian residents. It’ll all end badly. Next thing SJP will be Dismantled and floated offshore or the Argentina coast. Bad craic.

I wonder if any blog members are among the NUFC fans involved in those disgraceful incidents at Wigan Cosmos last Sunday?

No doubt they, and other fans, will have been screaming blue murder about the disgraceful tackle on Haidara. I’ll tell you what – they are no better a person and imo a damn sight worse, than Macmanam. At least he has the possible excuse that it was an accident in the heat of the moment. The thugs who rampaged and terrified kids and their parents for 40 minutes at Wigan Cosmos have no excuse whatsoever.

If any of these idiots tries to justify their actions as some sort of ‘revenge’ for that tackle it just shows you the type of characters they are.

NUFC’s supporters have got a brilliant reputation – especially at away grounds – but there are always some idiots who given half an excuse will big themselves up with this sort of mindless thuggery. It makes me sick.
