Newcastle Scouting Another Top French Youngster

It seems that Chief Scout Graham Carr is very busy these days, and we are being linked with another French youngster.

El-Hadji Ba

El-Hadji Ba – 20 year-old French midfielder

We expect Newcastle to try to bring in maybe four or five top youngsters this summer, in addition to three “purples”, and it’s hardly surprising that some of them will come from France.

The latest player we are being linked with is defensive midfielder El-Hadji Ba, the 20 year-old six footer who plays in defensive midfield for Le Havre, which is where we got Charles N’Zogbia from in the summer of 2004.

Ba has already played for the French U18,U19 and U20 side and has played over 20 times for the Le Havre first team, since making his debut just over a year ago, and he is of Senegalese descent.

The youngster is already attracting some top Premier League clubs including Tottenham, and Ba made his professional debut on in February of last year in a league game against Guingamp.

The youngster has talked about Paul Pogba as an example of somebody he wants to emulate and Paul was at Manchester United but joined Juventus last year and has already played 27 times for the Italian giants with 5 goals this season.

This is what El-Hadji said:

“Pogba is definitely the one for me to follow in his footsteps at the moment.” “Pogba is doing very well and I’m happy for him to be playing for one of the best teams in the world, Juventus.”

“I want to improve and it’s very good to hear clubs have been scouting me.” “I’d love to play in England one day and if teams have a good enough offer, then Le Havre will let me go”.

We’ll see if Newcastle can get this lad on Tyneside, but it seems some big clubs could be after the very promising young defensive midfielder.

Wonder if Yohan Cabaye knows him? 😀

my prediction of summer transfer this year:
    OUT= Tiote (15m), Santon (10m), Harper retired, Simmo(free), Obertan (2m), Colo(san lorenzo)
IN = Aubameyang(10m),Mirin(3m) / Kouyate (6m), and some young players (Ba might be also one of them).
Jelle Vossen looks great for Nufc btw.
And If Aston Villa down to Championship , we can get some decent players from them 😀 (Ciaran Clark,Andreas Weiman :o)

No way Tiote is worth 15million.

7-8million max. He’s more of a liability to us now.

Holland beat Estonia last night with fourteen players from Rotterdam Feyenoord in their squad !

Liverfool are reported to be scouting two players from Feyenoord and there is a report that an initial offer of 25 Mil has already been made ? De Vrij is reported to be one of the two?

Feyonoord are one of the favourites to lift the Dutch Title come the end of the domestic Dutch season !

Why are we continually signing French players is any-ones guess? Has Graham bought a house there to suppliment his scouting there, i wonder?
If all this French results in us winning summit, it may well be a good thing?

Vive le France et HWTL !

Wreker16- I wouldn’t mind the head of their academy. They have a conveyor belt of young talent.
    Ibizatoon- back by popular demand
Hiya- On the tying up of loose ends or ” I wish I had said……”. You display the ability and strength to hold two opposed views in the mind
yet show the ability to function. I thought the. master of the orchestra
Was appropriate but I think Pushy summed it up best with his Foreman of the Jury. Enjoy your International break weekend.
    Synergistically yours.

That’s a fair point about Le Havre, that whole N’Zogbia deal was a mess. That said, money up-front is attractive to any club no matter what their previous dealings are.

Come on, there will be Russian club who ready to spend lots transfer fee for players who wants big money but play in Russia. Tiote driven factors is money. So why Not?
And Santon, will go to AC Milan. Ac milan prioritize their signing to CB and Fullback this summer.
