    Jail for Ashley

no, i do not agree that the guy should have got manager of the year last season,, i really think it was a joke, and i still to this day dont know how he got it,

i think that should go to a team that wins something, then the manager has earned it, 5th, is not that good,

i personally think he could and should have been pushing for 3rd, but lost his bottle,

when you look back at games we won, ppl think we were great, but take the chelsea game near the end, they battered us for 90 mins, but cisse scored 2 wonder goals, thats what ppl remember,,

he is a very negative manager,

in his interviews, he always bigs up the other teams that beat us, regarless of top or bottom

    his team selections

    his tactics

    grrr

Not the players fault, negative management. Playing Jonas LB was a mistake. Playing Obertan was a mistake. You have to remember how good Man City are…

Cannot believe what I’m hearing from some, the Ashley era propaganda really has indoctrinated many fans. Whatever situation we’re in injury wise, where we stand in the league is not acceptable for a club of this size and this fan base.
The crux of the issue is, we could quite easily bow out to Benfica with a whimper and then get relegated shortly afterwards, and then what?
We’re not going to win the Europa, simple as that yet we stand a huge possibility of going down. Yet some here seem to think its acceptable and even a positive!? Unbelievable.

Hopefully that’s the last time we’ll see Danny Simpson in an nufc shirt. At least it looks like Mike Williamson will be leaving in the summer. Didn’t realise Good returned from loan.

We could win europa….no reason we cannot beat benfica and get into the semi’s, people thought anzhi would beat us but they didn’t.

This boring, negative brand of football certainly doesn’t entertain but it works in cup competitions…look at chelsea last year in champs league.

Yes we need to ride our luck, and we are far from favourites, but we do have chance.

But I agree, league form is unacceptable.

I’ve been saying this since we got beat at Wigan – lose against City and we are right in the thick of a relegation battle. And we sure as hell are.

Southampton and Wigan winning has made things worse. If we lose at home to Fulham the nerves will be jangling and anything can happen from then on.

I’ve said this a few times as well – we HAVE to get six points before our last three games, away to QPR and West Ham and a last day home game against Arsenal. If we don’t I can see us being in real danger of going down.

The Fulham game is now massive – Pardew has some BIG decisions to make about who plays against Benfica. I couldn’t give a sh1t if we lose 10.0 as long as we have the the best – and fittest – team out against Fulham. The Benfica result means nothing compared to getting 3pts against Fulham.

Didnt get to see or listen to the game today as I had to work, by all accounts I didn’t miss much, just wanted to say althought the result was poor people need to remember city have only lost once at home all season (to man u) and we have the worst away record in the league so did anybody really expect anything?

at the risk of sounding mad, that missed red card could potentially be the difference between Wigan staying up or going down

Six points from the next two games.
    We’ll be okay.

Any more injuries and we’re going to struggle.

Today’s result was expected with that team.

To be honest, the way this season has gone, if we come out of the other side of 90 minutes with no injuries, i consider that a small victory. How come we always seem to catch teams at full strength and in form though? Can’t blame it all on being unlucky, obviously, but i’ve never known a bad luck like what we’ve had this season. Sickening really.

Wasn`t so much the defeat it was the total lack of effort that hurts the most.Yer wigan`s and southampton`s are playing to win games not set out not to lose

For all the doom and gloom we do have the makings of a classy side – Krul/Elliott, Saylor, Mapou, Debuche, Santon,
Massadio, Cabs, Moussa, Bigi, Jonas, Vernon, Marv, Papisto, Benny, Campbell . But there is undeniable dead wood – Obertan (who is a fraud), Simmo, Gosling, Willo.

Solskjaer has a fantastic CV as a player and coach.
    Pardew has neither.

You can give Pardew the best players but he’d get Barca hoofing it and trying to hold on to 1-0 leads.

The total lack of ambition is appalling to watch.

Now Ash has splashed the cash Pardew has nowhere to run. in 14 years in management he has had a 5th place and a 9th place in between relegations and getting West ham promoted via the play-offs before nearly taking them down again. Charlton weren’t so lucky.

2 record losing streaks at NUFC and West Ham surely has alarm bells ringing. Losing is easier to take when you at least try and attack the opposition. We don’t.

We all know Pardew would love the prolific Carrol (4 goals in 21) to return because in reality he is no better than Pulis and Allardyce.

We were brilliant – for five minutes start of second half.

Starting line up why start with Obertan – should never wear a black n white shirt again

NO Fight, NO Guts ,NO bottle, NOWT

Relegation battle between us and the Mackems.

All this shit about bringing in players in the summer F***in waste of time if we go time.

And if we are relegated how many players will stay for the championship fight – not many

hey only lost by 1 goal against the champions,if we play like this then we can just aswell stay away.
Poor management and players looked like they didn`t know how to pass a ball to a teammate
Poor game, poor season(apart from Europa),poor management but hopefully there`s 3 worse teams than us in it.
We really need to win the next 2 games, definitley need a win against those and at least a draw against Fulham and we should pick up enough after that

I don’t like him but most on here love the guy or are in love with the idea of stability.

I personally think manager/coaches are like light bulbs, get a dud swap it out and try another.

Would not be surprised if Ashley is not looking at alternative managers for next season

For everyone saying that we would not be able to get a class manager I think we would we do splash cash and have a tremendous scouting network with a half decent squad and 52k fans apart from the top 4 style managers who would not want a crack at that?!?

Hatem – quite right. I used to argue the same point: that there’s no harm changing your manager if it’s for a better one. But the “stability” lobby is very strong on here – so I gave up!

I would hate to work with some of you lot – you panic far too easily. We were never going to get any points today but admittedly the display was disappointing. It is the next 2 home games that we need to and I would expect us pick up points – 6 hopefully and then we will be safe.

One of the worst displays for some time, 7 starters were from Carrs watch, embarrassingly outclassed.
It is easy to blame the manager and coaches, but who else is there to point the finger at?
My opinion has never change, 3 top coaches are a priority, including someone on the touchline who knows what he is doing.
We will struggle against Fulham. I hope a reserve 11 plays against Benfica. PL status is essential.

i wouldn`t have jonas in there either.
We`ve got the makings of a good team but if we don`t add the quality we need and can`t keep those “purples” then it`s not helping anything.
Ap is the manager and that`ll probably be the way it`ll stay for at least 5 years if we can stay up for stability sake but i don`t think he`s tactically astute.
    Mourinho maybe??lol
We maybe can play the Sir Bobby ticket with him and hope he`sd come for his sake :-O

jesus bad performance but i expected it really with that team i’ll be happy to never see obertan again full stop really!!
i’d bet that he was told all week to follow and track there winger but his concentration and effort AGAIN was shocking
but the over reaction on here is laughable again aswell, we had a new defense again and a midfield that was just not at the races!
and some1 said before that injuries weren’t to blame are you mad?
    so no collo,debuchy,santon,arfa,tiote n krul ain’t a problem then?
go and pick the same type of players out of the rest of the league’s teams and imagine how they would cope!
