Gouffran – Pardew Gives Us Excellent Tuition And Motivation

10:21 am, Saturday, April 6th, 2013 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 15 Comments

Yoan Gouffran has given an interview in the Evening Chronicle today,  and he is full of praise for Newcastle manager Alan Pardew, and Yoan says things are a lot different at Newcastle than they are in France.

Newcastle have three important games to play in the next eight days – and they are all at home – and it starts with Fulham tomorrow, followed by Benfica on Thursday night and Sunderland a week tomorrow.

Gouffran has praised Alan Pardew for giving the lads tuition and motivation before a game:

“The big difference here is when the coach talks to us just before the game.” “He gives us excellent tuition. He gives us excellent motivation and more details about the opponent.”

“It is easier for us to understand the difference between the teams.” “We are always prepared for the game.” “We will be ready for the three important games coming up.”

“We know they are all important and what is at stake for our season.” “The coach always talks to us.” ” He pushes us to our very best.”. “There are big differences here to France.”

“In France during training the coaches stop the game when they talk to the individuals.” “When one player is being spoken to everybody has to stop.”

“Here the manager says what he needs to say and things flow on the training field.”

We’re going through a really bad patch at the moment, having lost our last three games, and tomorrow would be a good time to get only our 10th league win of this campaign, and we will have Yoan back to help us do that.

If we can get the three points tomorrow we’ll feel a whole lot better than we do at the moment – because we are simply still not safe from relegation – fact.

Maybe he should go into the coaching profession then. Because he certainly aint a manager. Tactically inept.

Could someone just kick Duff so he doesn’t play tomorrow ;-)
He as usual will be the danger man against us with his deliveries.
Jonas or Gouffran will need to help santon there.
Ed said they’re missing 4 first teamers for tomorrow, who?
Sidwell got a red in their last game so that’ll help and anoth lad got injured so hopefully we’ll be a lt stronger in that department
Tiote if back will need to up his game for us as he’s had an absolutely drab season.
It’ll be all about can Cisse or someone else get a goal or several against Schwarzer?
What about a goal from a corner in one game this season, that’d be a nice surprise ;-)
It’d probably be a new record as the only team to not score a oal from a corner throughout a whole season :-(
Got a good feeling bout the game though and think we will have too much for them.

    This Comp is annoying me!

Every time the home page refreshes it wipes me out, Mid – Post, then i have to start again !

    Bollocks!

I totally dis-agree with all the confidence problems in Pardew!

At least the players have confidence in him and that is more important that what we think at the end of the day!

To change trainers at so crucial a time just before the end of the Season would be wrong?
If we went down? ( Perish the thought ! )
I just wonder how many players would stay with us in the Championship?
Don,t want to experience another relegation!

Noone is talking about changing him now. Sack him at the end of the season when we scrape back into the Premier League. Ashley will know Pardew has cost him millions in TV rights so will hopefully get rid.

Pea won’t come here so if he’s getting so much attention across the world, this is why it is better to do it while the iron is hot.
We shoulda got him in with bidding the going rate as now his price will balloon.
I actually thought we bought Gouffran as a striker yet mrAP plays him wide all the time, although he is good there we probably would be a greater threat with two up front

    New expat
Don’t think anyone meant changing him now but during the summer as that’d just be ridiculous changing him now.
Give him another season but if its looking bad by Christmas I don’t think the board will leave it go that long.
Remember next season we’ve got less games without the Europa so more time to recouperate unless we win the thing :-0

    @tinman
No point in getting rid if ya can’t get anyone better in.
Who in their right mind will come that’s among the best managers?
MA would probably go for Bruce,Curbishley,Hughes,Keane or the likes of has beens and none of those tick the boxes
Lee Clarke would be a great choice but needs another year or two with Birmingham before the step up

  • 13 Marty-Toon // Apr 6, 2013 at 11:05 AM

    Nice one Charlie,
Maybe we can get past them tomorrow so :-)

  • 14 NEWEXPATMAGPIE // Apr 6, 2013 at 11:24 AM

    @9:

Now Marty, the way some people are going on about it here?
I think some would do the same as the Scum and get rid immediately?

I compare O,Neil to Di-Canio and don,t see the logic in sacking O,Neil at all? But then we have to take care of our own Probs first, and we have enough?

  • 15 The next Mike Williamson // Apr 6, 2013 at 2:12 PM

Our first team is quality throughout. They’ll all be getting poached by bigger clubs in the summer.

If we go down and Idon’t even think Souness could get a group of players as good as ours relegated we’ll be left with.
    Eliot
    Simpson Willo Taylor R,Taylor
    Obertan Gosling Bigi Perch Jonas
    Shola
We’ll need to add some players willing to play in championship because that lot would struggle.
