Cisse totally has to go. Missed the return to Marv. Missed the one on one with Schwarz. And now, missed that chance from the corner. **** off Cisse. You’re not needed anymore. We need a new first choice striker.

Cisse is useless….how can you not score from there?

C’mon Pards are you daft? Cisse is the one who should go.

Cisse. He has all the attributes of a brilliant footballer, all except an ability to read the game

Cisse you twat when will you ever pass to Marveaux???

Cisse just doesn’t have a footballing brain.

  • 3 toonbrother // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:04 PM

    only one papis cisseeeeeeeee whooohooo

  • 4 Ben_BKK // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:05 PM

    Are you trolling, toonbrother?

And while Cisse scored the winner again today, I was really impressed by Yanga-Mbiwa. Looked calm on the ball, quick to react and decent in the air as well. He’s a bit like a young Colo, but not quite as classy on the ball.

There’s nothing wrong with people criticising Cisse – he cost us a goal earlier on when he didn’t pass to Marveaux.

If Santon and Taylor as defenders can be held accountable for their individual mistakes – such as on Thursday – then forwards should too.

  • 8 spartacus // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:08 PM

What a game!!! Great win ….

  • 9 yorkshire_magpie // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:09 PM

I think cisse can only score after 85 mins of the game. Think he does it on purpose lol.

  • 10 indian // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:09 PM

This is why Pardew is the right man for
the job. He may not be the
brightest, but he is so passionate! He
will learn and get better, he will learn
new tactics and overcome his short
    comings,why? Cuz he is passionate
about it and cares. I’ll rather have
pardew here, than a Laudrup who will
just use the club for a couple of years
    and go away!
Amd after what pardew just did, if
anyone on the blog wants him out, I
must say I feel sad for them. He is the
man for this job, he will get us success

    well said indian

  • 12 No Plain Saylor // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:10 PM

I love Cisse, he is a great striker, an opportunist and despite his poor form (by his standards) and poor service this season he is still finding the net when it matters. I dont want to be that guy but and its a big but, he should have gave that ball back to marveux for a tap in in the first half, and there was another one on 84 minutes marveux had the acres of space and Cisse ave it back to Shola with two lads round him, Marveux gave out the first time but the second he just shook his head in disbelief. He is a great finisher and a great guy but he has the passing ability of a potato. Considering all our attacking play runs though him if he could feed people in aka like berba does he’d be a much better player. Had he found Marveux on those two occassions he would have saved us all injury time heart attacks and nervous breakdowns as we would have been 2-0 up. None the less, great goal, great win, delighted 😀

  • 13 El_Fenomeno // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:11 PM

These kind of last minute goals feels really good as a NUFC fan… But must be really painful for Fulham fans

  • 14 matt11_25 // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:11 PM

Cisse was dreadful for 90 minutes today but bloody hell he likes to be dramatic. Marveux made great runs today my motm for sure could of had a couple of tap-ins, tho the two CBs n Guti (looked like his old self) played well today. And of course yohan was class.

  • 15 daztoon // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:12 PM

F**k Fulham fans let em suffer

  • 16 El_Fenomeno // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:12 PM

Love him H8 him, Cisse to the rescue AGAIN

  • 17 Cool Hand Luke // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:12 PM

Cisse over the past month or two has scored almost in every game, with pretty poor service to be fair, I think its unfair to criticise him. All players make mistakes and all strikers go for glory at times.

  • 18 NUFCarter // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:12 PM

Hey lads we got a clean sheet!

  • 19 toonbrother // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:14 PM

    there’s criticism and there;s this:
**** off Cisse. You’re not needed anymore. We need a new first choice striker

Fans should be held accountable for shameful comments such as the above. Excellent performance today from all the players when you consider the amount of pressure we were under. Cisse was lively and dangerous throughout. Marveaux was motm

  • 20 daztoon // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:14 PM

Berba and Cisse would have been a great partnership

  • 21 Bambams // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:14 PM

Thats a very well taken goal !

    Well done fella

  • 22 89Norcal // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:14 PM

Sunderland beat by Chelsea, and now Wigan are playing a 10-men QPR.

Wigan bumping Sunderland into the relegation zone would be the icing on the cake 🙂

  • 23 Barras // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:14 PM

Marveaux was superb for us today (yet again). In my view, he was man of the match, best player from both teams.

  • 24 indian // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:15 PM

    thank you @786

I really do feel that after today , all of us, should forget the pardew out concept and back him up with all our chips ! It’s time we get loyal to him and stop wanting him out after every little poor run! Let’s believe ! is that too much to ask ?

  • 25 Bambams // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:15 PM

I like that Townsend for QPR…….

    Good player

  • 26 Tsunki // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:16 PM

Just got out of there what a madhouse, next stop hospital for an ECG. 🙂

Feel sorry for santon held his hands up at the start, gets a standing ovation then….injured. I think it would have been his day.

I will post my musings later when my heartbeat is regular ha ha

  • 27 Ben_BKK // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:16 PM

Cisse’s a great finisher and is good off the ball but that’s about it really. He gets caught offside too often, his passing is pretty poor and he just doesn’t see better opportunities, like today when he should’ve squared to Marveaux when he was open in the box, and then later on when Marveaux again was in space but he didn’t see him and tried to give it to Shola and lost it.

He’s a good striker, but needs to improve his game in a few ways if he’s to be the one that’ll get us to the next level. Someone like Berbatov but younger would be perfect, someone who scores goals but also can spot and pick a pass and do more than just score. Some of Berbatov’s passes today were fantastic, he really is more than just a goal scorer. Obviously it wasn’t one of his better performances but I do think he’s a great player.

  • 28 matt11_25 // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:16 PM

Cisse at the moment is just rushing everything and that is due to a lack of confidence. Hopefully he realizes now he’s bloody papis cisse n he’s gonna score anyway!

  • 30 manxpie // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:17 PM

toonbrother great post but theres much much worse posts on here about the TEAM!!
i mean the people who couldn’t watch that game and was goin of here were saying its not sounding to good!
we were on top the whole game ffs we just couldn’t score they had 2 chances which i’d bet everything on every away team in the league gets that on the counter!
we deserved that from start to finish highlights were staylors skills back to the keeper the goal n pardews celebration!!

  • 31 yorkshire_magpie // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:17 PM

Forget fergie time, its now called papiss time!!!

  • 32 toonbrother // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:17 PM

As disappointed as i was on thursday i didnt feel the urge to go on the blogs and lambast saylor or santon. Why? Because they are GREAT players and servants of this club just like Cisse . Now if the player in question is consistently shite i’d understand the abuse. Being a fan means recognizing our players are human. Not robots. Fans need cut them some slack every now and stop overreacting to every mistake,

  • 33 Ben_BKK // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:19 PM

toonbrother – I thought that was all stuff from you haha, I saw that comment earlier and agree with you, that was shocking…

  • 34 yorkshire_magpie // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:20 PM

    Well said toonbrother.

  • 35 Jonny // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:21 PM

Only caught the last 20 but Jonas looked incredible at left back. How did he play?

  • 36 El_Fenomeno // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:22 PM

I’m not gonna lie, PARDEW’S celebration contrasted with CISSE’s celebration with the FANS gave me goose bumps… Reminding me of why I love this sport and NUFC in particular

  • 37 ToonDownSouth // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:24 PM

I agree with that all, but were you not the one posting abuse about Adam Campbell after his debut appearance?

  • 38 Ben_BKK // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:24 PM

Jonny – I thought Jonas had a really good game there, he basically played his normal wing position but a bit deeper. Defended quite well and got forward well too. Wouldn’t be surprised if Pardew starts him there in our next couple of games if Santon’s out.

  • 39 yorkshire_magpie // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:24 PM

Dont think i’ve ever seen a manager celebrate a goal like that!! Credit to pardew!!

  • 40 Bambams // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:24 PM

    Hows you fella…

I do agree we all need to get behind Pards but at the same time he either needs to learn from this very poor season and change his style or bring in some new coaches to help get the best out of these players .

Fans will give him time once we have less injuries but it is not a good style of football that he has them playing.

Only time will tell if it’s because of all the injuries we have had which disrupts momentum or poor management.

He has the passion, there again so do we fans.

I am with you in relation to the hatred must stop and support the whole club.

    Enjoy your evening fella:-D

  • 41 Black and White with an army lol // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:26 PM

Jonas played superb today defo my second MOM player to Marv

Jonas – great pace up the wing, great tackling and great at winning the ball back in some way he reminded me of the first time he arrived when he was a epic player

  • 42 Ewokshatemackems // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:26 PM

Come on wigan. Get the points and drop the scum in to 18th

  • 43 RedMissionBells // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:27 PM

    Hi everyone!

We need 4 more points to secure premiere league status (Making the assumption that 40 pts is sufficient).

Our game against Sunderland is crucial! If we win that game, we only need a point!

Lets just hope that our players do not get injured in our derby game. It can get quite rough and nasty.

Marvuex is quite the dribbler. It will be great to have Arfa and Marvuex running at defenses. Sissoko is quite a runner with the ball too, more of the forceful type of dribbler.

With this squad, along with 3 top class signings, we can definitely fight for top 6 next season. 🙂 🙂

Suddenly the future looks bright again.

  • 44 Ben_BKK // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:27 PM

@Ewoks – We don’t really want the mackems to go down, it’s a lot less interesting not having the derby games! Although saying that I’d be happy for them to be sweating it up until the final day 😀

  • 45 Spreadthetoon // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:27 PM

Great result…absolutely delighted for the team, nothing less than they deserved and Cisse yet again gets the winner! where are all the neggars now eh?!

That’s made me weekend along with the Fascist losing as Slumberland! HWTLs

  • 46 North Atlantic Magpie // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:28 PM

Way too few goals being scored under Pardew. It’s a major concern.

  • 47 Ewokshatemackems // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:29 PM

Ben, I would much rather their derby game be against Middlesborough

  • 48 manxpie // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:29 PM

toonbrother exactly and that goes for the manager aswell
to be honest if laudrop doesn’t move this season i can’t wait to see what his second season is like when all the expectations and injuries kick in for him if his key player in michu was injured imagine where they’d be??
i mean we’ve only had key players injured like krul, collo, santon, debuchy, taylor, cabeye, tiote n arfa and quite a few more but jesper seems to think that we,ve had normal injuries and as many others have pointed to laudrop bein an outstanding manager!
    we’ll see next season!

  • 49 Ewokshatemackems // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:33 PM

North Atlantic, is it Pardew’s fault that Richter blocked a goal with his arm?

  • 50 indian // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:35 PM

I am not the same as indian magpie ! different Indian !

  • 51 Bambams // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:42 PM

I was merely replying to your blog and asking how you were.

    Apologies if I offended you.

  • 52 NUFCarter // Apr 7, 2013 at 5:42 PM

    Pardews substitutions were brilliant today.
Gutierez was immense down that left side he made runs similar to the ones he made when he had that great season in the championship. He was defensively sound too. Also I never realised how much strength and pace he possesses.
Taylor was class. The ground header back to krul was heart in mouth stuff but hilarious, original and confident.
Campbell came on and was roared on by the crowd every time he had the ball. Made a few mistakes but he’s only 18. I bet absolutely loved at the end.
They never really threatened us Taylor and mbiwa were soo Cool. Krul rose to the challenge when it came to it. Simpson was fine but his crosses were poor. Cabaye and sissoko were great. Cabaye made some fine passes although it wasn’t one of his best games.
Marveaux was brilliant always looked a threat and toyed with them. Anita needs a lot more strength to be a first teamer. Gouffran also played well today.
Oh I really do love Newcastle and love the legendary runs into the crowd from our players and caring manager!
I’m actually going to be in a good mood on a newcastle match day.
