Newcastle Players Must Redeem Themselves

I suppose if you are trying to look for some positives coming out of the unbelievable loss to Sunderland today – it’s that the Newcastle players will be motivated in the final five games of the season to redeem themselves in the eyes of Newcastle fans.

mike ashley -880074675

Mike Ashley – will not be pleased with this result

Because like it or not the players that played today will always be remembered for being part of the game they lost 3-0 at St. James’ Park, and it will go down in the history of Newcastle, that’s just the way it will be.

We’ve heard all the stuff about being unlucky and we missed chances – but we’ve been missing chances all year – and we find it very difficult to score – and it hasn’t helped that we didn’t replace Demba Ba in January either.

But we are not thinking of the summer at all right now – Newcastle have too much work to do in the last five games of the season, and unless we start picking up points we could be in trouble.

If Wigan can get 3 points in their two games in hand,  we’ll be just 2 points above the drop zone, and our goal difference is now only a little better than that of Wigan.

So there’s work to be done in the next five weeks – and we must be in the Premier League next season.

Any chance tomorrow when it’s busy we can have a poll….should we replace pardew in the summer?

Cabaye making incisions, Sissoko storming up field and Anita breaking up play and covering full backs when they provide width.

Benny and Marv drifting central and out to the flanks depending on the situation and Cisse making moves in and around the box.

If this team can’t beat west ham QPR we deserve relegation!

I’ve mentioned that our scouting system may be overrated. Our latest defender is Mbiwa …..does he inspire anyone? Not me. Santon cant defend either, and Debuchy certainly isnt quick. Just a general moan. In reality though Pardew has to go at the end of the season, but he wont. Ashley will but his bullshit. They / llambias are mates – remember he got the job uncontested……unbelieveable.

Yep…it shows you dont need to keep a manager to be successful. You need to keep the set up, like youth set up, scout, directors of football…and like you said earlier treat the manager, or head coach, like players….upgrade when needed but have a set style you look to employ.

I think its too early to judge mbiwa….he needs time to settle, the language barrier can’t help, especially with the rashness of steven taylor alongside him.

On their day there aren’t many better for me than the players you’ve mentioned.

Filled with confidence and kept on a good run of form you’d see the true quality in these players.

The thing that these players fail at are not traits but rather mismanagement (IMO).

You could highlight the entire team. Cabaye just hoofs it, Titoe doesn’t tackle, Sissoko runs with his head down, Goofy offers nothing, Cisse never scores etc..

All these guys are proven not only in league winning teams but at international level.

It’s all to do with confidence. They’re just men and a man without confidence in his ability is not a man at all.

That’s down to the manager. Bring in a proper manager and you’ll see the true players not just the glimpses of talent they show us.

I think we deserve a manager who can evolve and adapt to and with the modern game. We have had English plodders since Sir Bobby and it’s clear to everyone but the bloody boardroom that they won’t get us anywhere!
Before it was mixture of team and management, we’ve now sorted the team aspect and got ourselves a policy. Now to turn our attentions to management and coaching, needs a complete overhaul.
Why is it so obvious to everyone but the people who matter!? get in a head coach and some top coaches along with him, instill that set up across the youth and bang we can start going forward.
Sick to the back teeth of always under performing.

face it lads no matter what team lineup we all put on this blog it’s never gonna happen no matter what ppl expect, in my mind Pardew was never the right manager for us since the first time he came.

at first when we got the players in i thought get in now we get going, now suddenly Pardew knackered that up, IMO we serous need a new manager, about 8-9 European coaches specialized in different areas and at least 3-4 new physio that know how to do there jobs.

if we don’t get these staff in then basically we are fcuked, ppl on this blog say we shouldn’t sack Pardew because it will be very bad especially coming near the end of season well what can i say Southampton, Norwich and Sunderland done it and look how they been performing.

I would like Pardew to use 3-4-3 formation. Our team is filled with attacking players and this should work. Pardew should take a leaf out of Barca’s playbook.

Bench: Anita, Tioti, Gutti, Alawick, Perch, Ameobi, Cambell.

Nothing will be done until and if we are safe, Pardew should have been out the end of November. We’ve got worse in terms of performance under his tenure and that’s with a drastic improvement in player quality!

Sack pardew. Purple manager for purple players . He is starting to remind me of dalglish. With his lack of fitness lots of injuries and defend most of the game to pinch a goal, doesn’t really work as a game plan when you invite teams to score goals and find yourself two or three down.see ya pardew

it must be obvious now to even the staunchest pardew supporters, he needs to go, the worst brand of defensive football i have ever seen played at st james park.
good old if plan ‘a’ dosn’t work we’ll try plan ‘a’ again, just in case.
    he cant motivate players
    he is tactically inept
    no say in club policy

we are going to get dragged down with this bloke at the helm.
he has no idea what a fit player is, debuchy shouldnt of played, taylor shouldnt have played, cabaye looks like he wants away, sissoko is relied upon too much, guti – dont even get me started, tiote – not fit, and he wonders why we looked tired….. i wonder!

Haven’t been on here today but:

This “tired” excuse is b0ll0cks. most of the team didn’t play.

    WHY: Shola, Gutierrez and Tiote.

    All abysmal.

Why the hell did Cabaye come off instead of Jonas?

Going long ball all 2nd half was pretty embarrassing.

Pardew “It was one of those days and I don’t want to have too many of them again.”

Don’t we seem to have alot of “those days” and this wasn’t just any ordinary day. Derby day disaster.

Mindless thugs today in town are an embarrassment.
The manager and the players are so good at talking about the game but so often fail to live up to their own words.

I don’t think the problem lies solely with Pardew. Look at the state of British management in general. With the exception of Ferguson and Moyes, I would say all the top flight English managers encourage poor, defensive football, in addition to serious fitness problems. Fat Sam, Hughton, Pardew, Pulis, O’neill and Clarke all promote some form of hoofball with a stance on playing for a draw or defensively. It’s quite a shame but it seems that the British managers of today (the majority in their 40’s and 50’s) are stuck in trying to play the old ways of British football which just don’t work.

Cabaye has really let us down this season as well. All I ever see him do is hoof it up field and more often than not, it doesn’t connect. I don’t know if that’s down to the management or just because he is in poor form but it seriously needs to stop.

Read previous blog again. AP shouldnt feel sorry for himself. He has great players at his disposal, its his tactics and management pulling this team down.

He will get a job elsewhere if we get relegated. He should feel sorry for the fans who paid their hard earned money to watch the team play, fans who travel 100s of miles to cheer the team, fans who week in and out illegally stream games to watch their favourite team play only to be disappointed.

What he should do is apologise to the loyal fans for letting them down and tell the truth. I can handle a manager who does this then the one who always has a excuse.

I think they’re just as likely to fall in a big heap, and I’m not convinced that would be in the most part Pards or the players fault.

Heads will roll if we go down of course, although not necessarily the right ones.

Getting relegated will be a tough pill to swallow after getting promoted 2 seasons ago. This will result in a mass exodus. We will then have to sell Cabs for 20m to ManU lol

We have so many internationals who will leave the club to play for a top tier club if we go down for a chance to represent their country at next years World Cup.

Looking at the money riding next season due to TV rights, MA should give players a bonus to ensure our survival and let Pardew go once the season ends.

I’ve been looking at the fixtures of the 4 teams below us and they all play a couple of games together, so some of them are guaranteed to pick up points on us, we are guaranteed nothing in our games, it’s going to be hard to get out the mess we find ourselves in.
